How to unlock the Blacksmith achievement in Bound By Flame - Definitive Guide

Open up your inventory and go to the equipment section. Press (X) to craft and a menu will open up. You can use ingredients to upgrade armor and weapons. You need about 5 upgrades to unlock the achievement.

While you're in your inventory, push to enter into the crafting menu for any partial piece of armor or weapons. While you're in this menu you can view and elect to create upgrades for your selected piece of armor. Craft 5 upgrades to earn this trophy. You'll likely earn this before the end of Act I.

The picture above is an example of the upgrade screen for armor. The top right hand box is a listing of upgrades that are possible with your armor, providing the option isn't greyed out then you have the ability to add these upgraded stats to your armor. Note that upgrades are not permanent. If you change your mind about an upgrade you can come back to this menu and recycle the upgrade for a fraction of the materials you put in to make the upgrade.
