How to unlock the Mastermind achievement in BQM - BlockQuest Maker - Definitive Guide
I idled this pretty easily. Go to Build, pick a numbered slot (can be a new one or existing one), then pick any size build plate. Once loaded in just let it sit for ten hours. Once the ten hours are up, hit the blue exit button in the bottom left corner to save your level. Once you save the achievement will unlock.

Not sure if fit helps, Pixie Ninja, but what I was doing was:
1) Selecting an empty cell in "MYBOX" for a new dungeon
2) Putting down some flooring so you could make it to the dungeon exit (optional: move the exit so it is right by your player).
3) Save (either by selecting the SAVE icon, or pressing START and running the dungeon)
4) While (back) on the edit screen, stay there while away from the console doing more productive stuff
5) After finished idling, make some edit (plop down another floor), then press START to run the dungeon (again) to make sure it saves
6) After returning back to edit, press SELECT to exit out properly, saving if asked.
When the achievement unlocked, I had yet another map I was idle for 2, 3 hours on. After I came back, I planted down a floor (#5), then pressed START to run the map one last time to save. As soon as I was in play mode controlling my character, it unlocked. That could be because it saves before you play, as JumboWario has in their guide.
I did have a LOT of untitled, empty saves to go for the 100-dungeons-made achievement, but I just cleared several spots on the first two rows to do my new time-wasting edit saves. I also did new maps, rather than deleting or re-editing an existing map, just in case it tracked your time on a map-by-map basis.
