The idea behind this achievement is that you need to be down to the last possible life and health and still pull off a win. You’ll have to do this 5 times to unlock. Since this is done in ranked 1v1 there is no way to setup a match to boost this. The achievement doesn’t track progress so you’ll have to follow it on your own. I have no method as to how to do this but I will tell you a couple things going in for 💩 and giggles. In a ranked match you have 3 lives. To trigger the achievement requirements you need to have died twice, hence the last life thing. On your last life you now have to be down to almost nothing in health. The health bar will be red/deep red. Now, while all that is going on you need to beat your opponent with that little sliver of your own life left. Once you’ve satisfied this criteria 5 times the achievement will unlock. I’d say this will come naturally if you play enough 1v1. I unlocked this before I got the 100 wins achievement, so for me this came quickly. Happy hunting.

This achievement is for winning a Ranked 1v1 when your damage is in red. There's a lot of confusion as to knowing when you're in red, so here's my guide to getting this achievement without boosting. If you find a way to make this boostable, I'm certain you don't need a solution.

How is it determined you're in red? When you get hit, your characters body flashes a colour. This is something implemented by the developers to let you know what sort of health you're at, without having to direct your eyes to the top right.

Once your body gets hit and it flashes red, this means you're now eligible for the achievement.

One of the ways I boosted this was by bringing my opponent down to their last stock in red, using moves that don't increase in knockback (examples are Sword Down Light, Bow Side Light, Katar Neutral Light) to damage them without killing. When you've done this, kill yourself then let them bring you to red, just be careful about doing this process. Once you get hit and your body flashes red, kill them, just be careful about doing it, remember you're close to death too and any heavy move is gonna kill you.

If your opponent leaves, this is your prime time to make use of the bot, as it will still count. Do the same as before, keep damaging them then start using moves with low knockback to continue damage (I brought bots into deep red so that regular moves anywhere on stage would kill) then bring yourself down, let the bot damage you then kill.
