I found out a way where you can get both gold and xp easily, first, go to the custom game room, then choose private room. Get in then enable the bots and make them all on easy, open the settings using the Y button make it 99 lives and 300% damage and make the game 15 minutes long. This may take a while but it will give a ton of xp.

Does your amount of kills matter? Does your amount of deaths matter? What is a good map to do this on? is there an idle kick? Is this still viable for the lvl 40 achievement? How much time are you approximately looking to spend on this?

Of course kills and how many times you die matter, but it's not gonna significantly affect it
The best Map to do this on would be fortress of the lions. For the 40 achievement your looking at least 10 hours if your character is already level 25 but it's much much faster than regular matchmaking games.
