For those doing the Free 4 All path, you get 151XP for coming 4th, 171XP for coming third, 188XP for second and 208XP for coming first.
Afraid I don't know what the values are for any 2v2, or experimental game types.
This popped for me at about the same time as the cheevo for getting 25K gold, running mostly free 4 all matches and guessing around 10 hours play time (roughly 3 matches a day with maybe a few more to bump a character up to the next level).
All match types count (though not the pre-match bouts against bots whilst it is loading) and you certainly should be working on all the level 10 character levels/gold cheevo's at the same time
