How to unlock the The Midas Touch achievement in Brawlhalla - Definitive Guide
This will more than likely be your last achievement in Brawlhalla. There are two ways to go about this achievement. You can either grind it out or steadily claim dailies and complete bonuses over the course of weeks or months. I will list a few of the ways you can gain gold and the best strategies.
Daily login bonus: Your daily login will give you increasing amounts of gold for everyday you login, before resetting to day 1 once you claim on your fifth day. This was where I got the bulk of my gold and even when I didn't want to play, I would try to log on just to claim. You earn an extra 250 gold if you login around holidays, as well.
Daily side objectives: Everyday, along with your login bonus, you will receive one mission that will reward you 135 gold upon completion. They are easy to complete so I definitely suggest completing them when you log on.
AS OF SEPTEMBER, 2019: They have changed side objectives to now. be one per day and the mission will reward you with 250 gold upon completion, but as mentioned by user AbsolTheDarkOne, they take more time do.
Level up bonuses: When you level up your account receive a sum of gold based on your level. You increase your level when you play matches. However, you can also level up characters. They offer gold after you've unlocked all stances. Then it will give gold about every other level up. I would suggest not switching around characters too much just so you can get this extra gold. I personally would level my character to about level 18 since it would take too long to level them up further.
Completing matches: Lastly, you get gold for every match you complete. There isn't much to be said other than free for all is your best bet. On average, it offers more gold and experience upon match completion. You also get gold and experience from private matches. So you can verse your friends while earning. Apparently, you can also get 300 gold for winning 2 games in the Brawl of the Week each week.
NOTE:
1. There is no way to purchase gold in game. You can only earn it through the methods explained above.
2. You do not need to have all the gold at once! You can spend it and unlock the achievement no problem!
3. There is no way way to track how much gold you have accumulated. So if you want to keep track you need to use a word doc or write it all down on paper.
If I missed anything or you would like to add something, please leave a comment so I can add it on! Thank you and if you leave a thumbs down, please leave a comment why!

@Hythal just to clarify, you only get one mission daily, they're just harder while granting more money. Also, just tested the refund thing, and it didn't work sadly :(

Obtaining 100,000 Gold will definitely take a while. Without level up bonuses and daily/weekly bonuses, you get around 50 gold per Free For All match (highly recommended as it is the fastest method.) It would take around 333.33 hours from 0. Don’t worry, you get 120 gold from account level ups, and certain character level ups (the first being 7, and alternate until 21(last color at 20) but once you unlock all stances/colors each character level is 120 Gold). Daily rewards give from 50 to 250 (EDIT 3/15/19: holidays give a 250 bonus), and daily missions give 135 (Win 1 match as X character or X character OR play 2 matches as one of those characters). (Another EDIT 3/15/19: Brawl Of The Week gives 300 for 2 wins.) In reality, it should take around 100-150 hours from 0, but you will probably obtain over 25,000 going for everything else. I hope I could help by providing useful information. Let me know if I can improve this guide. EDIT: According to SUPER FLY 1988, you do not need to have all of it at once. However, I would recommend levelling each character to around 13 or 15 for gold bonuses.
FINAL NOTE 4/14/19: I just finished this achievement, and it seems to decrease your gold earnings once you reach account level 50. I was at about 99,600 Gold when it drastically slowed down, my final game gave me 2 gold, so it might cap at that. This may vary by player since most will wait until they are really close to start grinding, but I was smooth sailing with about 600 Gold an hour depending on if I took breaks or got a lot of bonuses. I just wanted to add my experience in case you guys have the same happen.
9/13/19: Thanks to AbsolTheDarkOne for the information, it seems that daily challenges have been reworked to take longer and give 250 gold.

Do you need to have 100,000 gold at one point in time? Can you spend gold?

You don’t have to have it all at one time I spend some and still got the achievement

All that the other one says is true, though I'd like to add...
A useful thing is to try playing around holidays. There is a 250 coin per day bonus. This will make all the bonuses be as much as the fifth one not including the bonus you'll get each day.

For me, the Free for All mode is better. I finished it there, but once they set a limit on experience and gold and gave 3-5 per battle)
