How to unlock the I did not want to resort to violence... achievement in Broforce - Definitive Guide

For this, you have to kill all the seagulls on the map by flying the chopper into them. This will take some time because they will run to the top and bottom of the map, where you can't fly. If you chase a few of them and they run to the places you can't go, just circle around and they should be coming back down/up onto the map.

One thing that will make you have to restart is if you accidentally fly over a level, so make sure to know where the levels are and don't chase after the seagulls if they fly over the levels.

I think you can get it after the first mission, but don't quote me. Whenever you can start flying around the map in between missions, you should be able to get this.

I would recommend concentrating on one seagull at a time after a small amount of time the seagull will run out of stamina making it easy to hit.

I was able to get this before even the first mission. Just start a new campaign and you spawn into the world map and can get all the seagulls then. Takes a few minutes. Try to funnel them away from the poles of the earth where you can't fly.
