Story related but might be missable, use Mr grabby remote at the start of the ship collision to grab the other mog ship while mother is at the controlboard. Switch character and talk to the mother and a dialogue option will be available saying you had good reason to grab the ship, don't skip dialogue for best results as some achievements bug out like that

Shay and Vella Finale
This trophy is missable. First, you need to control Shay. Use the Grabbin' Gary remote so that Vella's Ship grabs his Ship. At this point, Shay's Mom will disable the Boom Arms and set them back to Automatic.
Switch to Vella. She needs to talk to Shay's Mom and exhaust all of the dialogue options. Amongst them will be a line where she suggests that Shay has his reasons for grabbing the Ship. This is the dialogue that you need to hear to earn the trophy.

This trophy you can get in the Finale and has to be done with Vella. To get this you need to be in Shay's perspective and use the Grabbin' Gary controller to use the arms on the other ship. Now switch to Vella and talk to Hope about it, when given the option choose that you think Shay is controlling the arms, when the conversation ends the trophy will pop.
