How to unlock the Dwarf achievement in Brotato - Definitive Guide

The Dwarf hits slow but strong while their turrets and other structures do most of the work.

Start off with the mace, the mace gains more damage with lower attack speed so the -100% attack speed you start with is going to help you. You start off with -20% dodge chance so we're also going to completely avoid a dodge build with this character and instead bulk up with armor.

In the first few waves you want to really kite your enemies. When you kill 6 enemies in one hit you'll gain +1 engineering which is going to buff up the turrets we get later, but also every 2 points of engineering increase your melee damage which will make your mace and other weapons stronger. Do this for the first few waves, run around with the enemies and when there are 6 or more run right in and get the kills then repeat. You'll only be able to do this a few times per round in the early ones since the rounds are so short but the stat bonuses will add up fast.

As turrets/engineering gear pop up in store whether it be weapons (wrench, landmine, etc.) or items (healing turret, sentry turret, etc.) you'll want to buy those. This will start to fill the field with a bunch of allies helping thin the numbers and their damage will be really good since you'll be gaining engineering points through efficient killing and also other items. Pump up your engineering whenever it appears as a level up bonus and also buy all items that strengthen it as that will in turn make your mace stronger.

As you own more weapons they'll be competing with each other and you won't be getting 6 kills in one attack as frequently. It'll depend by round on if it's a high quantity of weak enemies vs stronger but fewer. At this point though your mace is really your high close distance damage dealer and your engineering related gear should be pulling the rest of the weight.

Keep your attack speed low, keep your range low. Higher range means you'll be attacking from further away and ruining chances to gather up 6 enemies for one strong kill.

Grab some health and armor when you can for level up bonuses if there is nothing else.

I always recommend leaning into a curse related build, especially if you get the fishhook. The fishhook will have a chance to curse items when you lock them in the shop and progress, which will make the item stronger. Every run where I've grabbed a fishhook and locked some of the items that would benefit my build the most while waiting for them to become cursed has led to a success. The stronger enemies may seem scary but the more powerful build you get from it will outweigh it.

When you reach wave 20, bring the boss over to wherever your turrets have gathered and they should melt the health bar while you smack away with your mace that should be putting out a great deal of damage.

Good luck, have fun!

This character is a bit slow and boring to play as. Basically, focus on structures - get more Turrets, Mines, etc. Beef up Engineering and damage. It's going to be you slowly attacking along with all your structures, making for a run that I didn't really enjoy much.
