I used Gladiator (unlocks with 20,000 kills) because the character rewards you for having different weapons. Only drawback is you can't use ranged, but they don't show up in the store so it's no obstacle for this achievement. Bought one different weapon per round and got this on wave 6 without trying. You could get this sooner with shop rerolls.

Baby is good for this too, you get +1 weapon alot after every wave so you'll have PLENTY of space to spam cheap weapons

I went into this update with 100% completion and no knowledge of what unlocks the update characters. You need to get the Fast Learner achievement to get Baby but I went for this first.

This achievement is as simple and straightforward as it sounds. You will always see six different weapons available in the shop throughout a run, so just make it a point to have six different ones at once. Personally, when I play ranged, I tend to always have a Pistol, Shredder, Revolver, Laser Gun, and Medic Gun anyway, and it's easy enough to just keep it varied with the same weapon type (ranged vs melee).
