Use the Mutant for this achievement, he has -66% XP required to level up, and I'd recomend go for Danger 3 because there will be more enemies, and you can get this until Wave 5.

The same for me as rhmdy said. I got in wave 5 playing on Danger 0.

This would be extremely RNG-dependent to try to do with most characters. Thankfully, the character Mutant from the base game is very well suited for this achievement. It needs 66% less XP to level up. Stick with fast weapons, like Pistol and other ranged weapons, and you should be able to hit level 10 by the end of Wave 5. Keep an eye out for any items that improve XP Gain, but prioritize getting weapons just so you can take out more enemies faster.
