This achievement can be unlocked whilst playing the game, you will get this naturally by just playing the game consistently, there really isnt any tip for getting 20k materials fast.

These achievements are all cumulative across all runs (win or lose). Despite sounding pretty high, they will all unlock relatively early in your time with this game. To put it in perspective, I unlocked Gatherer 2 (2G) in my first run, Gatherer 3 (3G) in my second run, Gatherer 4 (4G) in my third run, and this achievement only a couple runs later. Considering you need to do 44 successful runs for the completion (one for each character), these achievements will all unlock naturally along the way.
