How to unlock the Generalist achievement in Brotato - Definitive Guide
You'll need to unlock Generalist first by collecting 300 materials which also unlocks
Select this Brotato before a run and complete it by killing the boss/bosses on Wave 20. Difficulty or Enemy settings (in gameplay options) do not matter.
For an easier run play on Danger 0 with Enemy settings for Health, Damage, and Speed to 25% which is the minimum setting.
For an average or more difficult run play on Danger 5 with Enemy settings at default.
For survivability be sure to build items/upgrades with Max HP, HP Regeneration, and Lifesteal bonuses. Building items and weapons that synergize with your character's stats is recommended.

Why all the downvotes? This solution makes sense. Guess everyone was expecting a detailed guide explaining the entire game. Some people just aren't too bright.

To unlock this achievement, make notes of the perks and drawbacks offered by the Generalist character that you can work around and make the most of for your build. For drawbacks, you can only equip 3 of each both melee and ranged weapons. For perks, for every +2 in the Melee Damage stat you gain +1 in the Ranged Damage stat, and +1 Ranged Damage for every 2 Melee Damage. Yep, the way it sounds looks like you'll get the most in terms of boosted damage from your melee weapons, but your range weapons still get some nice boosts in that department too, just not as much.
With that said, pick the Ghost Axe for your starting weapon, and stick with it for the whole run, buying up to fill the three available melee weapon slots and to upgrade as you rummage through the store between waves and with rerolls. The Ghost Axe will build up your damage rate, adding 1 for every 20 enemies you kill. Have your damage buildup be done primarily through this method, you can also boost this through buying select support items if you like. For ranged weapons, use the Ghost Scepter as they'll add +1 to your Max HP for every 20 enemies killed with it, and that will be how you boost your HP similarly to the damage rate, and you can buy support items to further raise it with materials acquired as you wish. By using the two Ghost Weapons exclusively, you can focus your level raising opportunities on other stats, especially on healing skills (HP regen, life steal), defensive prowess (Armor, dodge), more effective attack rates (Attack Speed, Critical Rate) and XP and material boosts (Harvesting). Successfully finish up through Wave 20 to unlock.
