Trees will appear over time during waves they will look like a tree with some green gems in it, these usually will drop materials (XP/GOLD) and Consumables (Health) and sometimes items. Simply kill 50 of these over the time of playing for this achievement to unlock

This achievement is cumulative across all runs, and as a result, will likely unlock relatively early. I unlocked it during my second run. Most trees you kill will happen inadvertently, since they tend to spawn around you and enemies.
