How to unlock the Old achievement in Brotato - Definitive Guide
The map for this is TINY! Way smaller than you would expect.
You can honestly stand in the middle, and with range of about 80, hit everything in the map.
Due to this, items that boost stats while standing still are really helpful.
Since you can’t really go anywhere, having a speed of -10% to -20% isn’t an issue.
Instead, focus on boosting dodge to at least 30%.
You’ll want to focus on Ranged Damage and use guns only. The best way to break up hordes, which you’ll have no room to maneuver, is with explosions and multiple projectiles. I’d recommend a gun list of a shotgun (multiple projectiles), a shredder (explosive), a rocket launcher (explosive) and an SMG (high rate of fire). I’ve gotten Rocket Launchers in the shop somewhere between waves 8-12. For your other 2 gun slots any additional one of those 4 guns should work. Also, if you’ve beaten it with Soldier, the Nuclear Launcher is one of the best weapons in the game, and really helpful for this run if it comes up (it did not appear on my first run).
For additional boosts from leveling up, focus on 20 luck, 15 HP regen, 10-15 armor. Secondary stats would be attack speed and damage. I definitely felt that since there is a much closer proximity to the enemies, you’ll have more materials than normal.
For items, turrets are in range for the whole map, so the More Trees + Lumberjack + Turrets from Trees is a deadly combo on this run. Since the map is small, explosion size and explosion damage boosts are great as well.

You really can't get away from the enemies with a small map and a slow toon. But... they can't get away from you either. I went with the unmoving platform of death approach.
Shotgun is great. I don't like SMG here because it sucks at crowd management unless you get specific items (+pierce). I used shotguns and slingshot until I was offered a flamethrower. It's such a good lifesteal weapon with its absurd rate of fire, combine that with a lifesteal of 10-15%, then you can secondarily concentrate on some other healing methods (HP regen, more fruit, trees, monkey, whatever), but mostly just boost ranged damage and damage and attack speed and crit. I grabbed 'statue' and 'glass cannon' and really anything that would get more damage out there. The boss died in around 20 seconds. Three shotguns, two slingshots, one flamethrower, only one shotgun was at tier 4. I only moved to avoid bullets and pick up some materials at the end.
There's really a lot of ways to succeed on danger 0 here as long as you take whatever it offers you to do the most damage to a lot of enemies at once. Healing is nice, but secondary.

Old is one of the default characters you have access to at the very start of the game. He is slow which can make traversing around the map and protecting yourself from enemies difficult, especially in the later waves.
In order to make things easier, you can go to the settings and in the accessibility section, you can change the enemy health, speed and so on. Put all of it to the lowest (25%) and you can easily complete a run with Old.

You'll need to unlock Old first by killing 300 enemies which also unlocks
Select this Brotato before a run and complete it by killing the boss/bosses on Wave 20. Difficulty or Enemy settings (in gameplay options) do not matter.
For an easier run play on Danger 0 with Enemy settings for Health, Damage, and Speed to 25% which is the minimum setting.
For an average or more difficult run play on Danger 5 with Enemy settings at default.
For survivability be sure to build items/upgrades with Max HP, HP Regeneration, and Lifesteal bonuses. Building items and weapons that synergize with your character's stats is recommended.
