If you're playing with the easy settings on (enemy health etc..at 25%), and find it impossible to die, simply recycle every weapon at your next available opportunity (i.e. after completing a wave). You start the next wave with no weapons. Just stand still and let the mob consume you.

PS: This solution was contributed by my 10-year-old son. Go easy, please
