You need to get the potion item first. There are 5 different potions (Orange, red, green, yellow and purple). How to obtain them? You need to fall through openings (holes) a certain number of times and the potion will appear. Orange is 20 times, Red 21, Green 22, Yellow 23 and Purple 24 times. But whatever potion you get doesn't matter, each will activate the bonus stage in the current stage you're into (or round, whatever you want to call it) and put food all over the stage.
The easiest way to get the achievement is to activate the bonus round in a stage that is small and limited in space so you can get the food easily. Round 16 (in Classic mode) would be a good one because there is no holes, there's tight spaces and it's very easy to clear the bonus stage. Personally, I got the achievement in Round 24. It's super easy because the stage is so small because there's a big part of the stage that is not reachable (thanks to the BUBBLE! writing). Just get every food and voila!
Of course, it's much, much easier if you got some shoes before. They make you move faster.

I got this achievement while playing two player, it made it a snap. You both collect them, you can split up and get them all pretty easily, and you get the achievement. My girlfriend wasn't signed into her account when we were playing, so I don't know if the second player gets it too, but I did.

I don't get this - how can you fall through the floor 20+ times on stage 16 or 24 when neither have gaps? Either you wrote that wrong, or you are incorrect when you say "will activate the bonus stage in the current stage you're into" - not sure which.
