How to unlock the Gamer achievement in Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling - Definitive Guide

Probably one of the more frustrating achievements. Please be aware of potential spoilers.

After reaching the Termite City in chapter six and defeating the colosseum for the first time, you gain control of a submarine. Take this submarine to the Bugaria Pier and speak with Queen Elizant II. Once this sequence takes place, you will now have access to the newly built "Termacade" in the Ant Kingdom located next to the shop and directly north of Fry.

To obtain this achievement, you'll need to beat the high scores for both the "Flower Journey" and "Mite Knight" arcade games.

The high scores to beat are as follow:

Flower Journey: 4500
Mite Knight: 9500

Some basic tips and how I achieved my high scores:

Flower Journey - This is a flappy bird clone and can be pretty frustrating at times with subpar hit detection and enemies that are sometimes placed in areas that make them impossible to avoid. Unfortunately, this one comes down to a lot of RNG and luck. You're going to want to take more risks in the early game to collect flowers that stack multipliers for your score. The game moves progressively faster and you will soon find yourself unable to collect these flowers without dying as a result. If push comes to shove and you're on a good run, pass up flowers as needed, but be aware that this will reset your multiplier counter. I had to play for quite a while to get a good run with flowers in my general path and enemies not blocking the way. Patience and practice are key here. Besides just keeping at it, the best advice I can give is to mute the game. I found the audio cues speeding up as you go on made me more nervous and aware that the game was speeding up, so I made some silly mistakes. It's a lot less noticeable without the audio.

Mite Knight - This is a pretty neat dungeon crawler type game and was one I found much easier than Flower Journey. You'll definitely want to do a few runs ahead of time just to get a feel for how the game plays. Once you're comfortable with how the game works, achieving a high score is not too difficult. In late game, when grinding for tokens to buy some of the last medals I needed, I passed the 9500 score consistently around 9/10 times. There are three dungeons to go through and you need to find a key to progress to the next one. At the beginning of each dungeon, wait at the start for just a couple of seconds for the compass to show up and point you in the right direction of the key. From here, head in that direction and search for it while killing every enemy in your path. The key to winning fights is to hold the shield button until the enemy is directly in front of you. For zombie ants, immediately let go of your shield when they are directly in front of you and hold forward without stopping. You should be able to beat them without taking any damage. For the wizard spiders, wait until they throw their arms up in the air and then immediately let go of your shield and hold forward. Again, you should be able to beat them without taking any damage. The timing is very forgiving and, if you manage to get hurt by the enemy you're fighting or surrounding enemies, MAKE SURE TO GRAB ENOUGH GREEN POTIONS TO REPLENISH YOUR HEALTH COMPLETELY. Once you've secured the key and killed everything in your path (it's okay to leave an enemy or two if they are far away), head to the outside edge of the dungeon. The exit will always be in a far corner and you can use the same pause and compass method to see which corner it is in. Be sure to kill the one or two wizard spiders guarding the exits for those extra points as well. The key here is to have at least 5,000 points from killing enemies, full health, and at least around 1:05 left on the clock when finishing the game. The multipliers from your full health and completion time should push you just above the 9500 mark. I wrote a lot here to make this as detailed as possible, but there's not a very steep learning curve and you should be able to get this after a few tries and learning how the game works.

Please let me know if this guide helped and, if I missed a strategy or something that helped you, please comment and let others know! Thanks!

On the flappy bird game if you pick up the honey that appears from time to time the bee will start to flicker and you can eat the wasp for extra bonus. Its pretty useful.

Flappy bee fuckin sucks. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE bug fables, but flappy bee is garbage in testing skill. More luck that anything

Another note on the honey, it makes you immune to all damage whilst it's active, meaning you can fly through the pillars as well, giving you a bit of time to breathe.

For the Mite Knight game, I found I needed closer to 6,000 points before exiting with full health and about 1:00 left on the clock.

Not sure if my game glitched, but I did 9345 point on Flower Journey because I had 2 combo counter at once and one of them never stopped poping combo bonus at random... it started after I passesd through a wall with honey and then killed a wasp.

Great, think I have to do this again, as Comcast's crappy Internet decided to crash literally after I got the second high score. The achievement did pop as I went back online, but since I didn't save the game, and for some reason Xbox made me sign in my account again, which then caused me to have to go back to the title screen, I lost the ingame achievement, which may be needed for the 100% achievement...

Didn't think to save after I got the Flower Journey high score, since why would I expect my Internet to go out and make me reset to my last save point?
