How to unlock the Live Laugh Hut achievement in Bugsnax - Definitive Guide

You need to furnish every editable section of your hut, and some sections are only available after completing a select number of requests (i.e., 50 requests unlocks your second floor). You need to complete approximately 66-74~ mail requests (check comments) to fully furnish your hut. Mail requests can be seen in the mail tab by pressing cn_back, in between your map and tools tab.

You can only work on 5 requests at any given time, and there are more than 71 requests in the game. It is highly advisable to start doing these requests as soon as possible and keeping your active ones in the back of your mind while progressing the game to lessen the grind later on, as this will probably be the last achievement you get. Due to you having 5 requests at a time, you can effectively "skip" hard/annoying ones while focusing on the others.

The following site can be used to help you with those tricky requests:

https://www.thegamer.com/bugsnax-hut-customization-guide-all...

Edit: mine unlocked when I completed 66.

Edit#2: After unlocking your second floor, your inner wall paint job and/or outer wall furnishes (curtains) may reset. Some people on Reddit have mentioned that their achievement popped after re-furnishing those sections, so make sure to check your windows.

I've gotten the flag (you get this at 80 requests) and still have not unlocked this achievement.

I went around without collecting any more and went around to each of the decorating spots, just changing stuff. It finally popped when I put wind chimes in the windows (I had curtains at the time). So this may be a little finicky.

I guess, in addition to making sure every spot is used for something, to also be sure to change existing decorations periodically.

Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, definitely seems to be finicky about the windows as it only popped for me once I redid them. Adding that second floor does seem to remove anything that you’ve put there.

Unlocked after 74, which happened to be the first sidequest after getting Eggabell to Snaxburg; might be a coincidence or a condition precedent. As we know the number isn't fixed, anyone unlock it prior to getting Eggabell back so we can pinpoint a more definitive solution here?

Got it at the 69 mark (NICE). I suppose, I could have gotten it earlier, because the achievement popped after I placed the Billboard (reward for 66) into the only empty spot remaining (the half circle above the Curtains spot on the outside).

Got it at 57. One I'd got the second floor I still had a few quests to hand in and a few auto-popped when I received them. Went and fitted out the second floor and couldn't see any locked items left so went around changing things. Think it unlocked when i put a satellite dish back on the roof

.
The "EDIT #2" in the guide did the trick.

After unlocking the 2nd floor, I had to refurnish the 1st floor walls and windows and BLIP!, achievement unlocked.
At 54 mail quests done (only because my next 4 we already done, like catching all snax in one biome).

Thumbs up #17 from me.

Had most of my hut furnished and it unlocked just after getting the 2nd floor. I had to do everything again after getting the 2nd floor though.

Checked how many requests I have and is at number 55 after mostly completing the game with 2 achievements to go.

Finished mine at 50 after unlocking the second floor, didn't do any extra. Must be story related. Main quest I'm on is Filbo Brings the House Down, which is right before point of no return.

Mine doesn't even have curtains like others have suggested. Don't see a slot for them and my windows are plain and empty.

It took 75 missions for me and this took several hours after all the main and side quests so its not connected to that. One part of the house wouldn't unlock until I hit 75 completed (small half circle on outside walls of first floor which was called the “roof”. Needed a satellite dish or billboard for it)

51 for me. Took awhile after the 2nd floor was built changing a bunch of things around multiple times and sleeping until it popped.

Muito agradecido pela ajuda de todos.
Para mim também tinha bugado, mas realmente basta ir trocando as coisas da casa que a conquista cai.

Huh, interesting. Are you sure you furnished every bit of your hut? There are some tricky spots, like on top of shelving you place down and on the ceiling (hanging lights, etc.). Also, I believe your outer wall and/or paint jobs get de-selected when you get your second floor added. It happened to me but didn't affect anything, but according to a Reddit post, once they re-selected it their achievement popped.

Additionally, my hats achievement did bug out on me and I got it at 8/10 hats, so maybe there is a bug here, too.

It's hard to say; I noticed that on various forums including trophy websites, 71 was the sweet spot (even explicitly mentioned in guides, where confirnation bias allowed my 66 completed+5 active mentioned in the guide to believe it was true), but I don't think that number has any correlation to what type of item you receive from the request. The main thing is having every spot where a furnishing can be placed down filled in with an item all at the same time, and it seems most people obtain this around the 66-74~ mark.

For me, the last item I needed was on the outside of the hut near the curtains. It was red and had a lock on it until I hit 66 completed quests and received my 71st (active) request. Assuming all requests give the same item upon completion (seemingly confirmed), the only definitive answer I can think of is that a player will need to have completed at least 50 requests to get the second floor unlocked. After that, it depends on whatever order they've completed/accepted requests in order to obtain one of every item slot.

I'm curious to know of anybody unlocks this around the 50~ mark.

Once you get Chandlo to return to Snaxburg he will rebuild your hut. Once that is complete Filbo will let you know about the mail request system. These are sidequests that reward you with stuff to furnish your hut with. The achievement is for fully furnishing your hut, not necessarily completing all of the requests. You will have to do at least 50 of them to unlock the second floor. Once you have the second floor you just need to place an object in every spot and you'll get the achievement.

The spots you are trying to fill are:

  • Garden (front of the hut)
  • Lawn (right side of the hut)
  • Decor (porch to right of front door)
  • Exterior (from large blue icon on left side of but)
  • Wall (lower blue icon on left side of hut)
  • Roof (upper blue icon on left side of hut)
  • Rug (hut floor)
  • Bed (right side of hut interior)
  • Furniture (2 places inside hut)
  • Trinket (3 places inside hut. 2 on furniture and 1 on window seal)
  • Interior (blue icon on inside back of hut)
  • Hanging (2 spots on inside hut walls)
  • Ceiling (roof on the inside)
  • Second floor is furnished separately.
  • Rug (on floor)
  • Furniture (2 places)
  • Interior (blue icon to left of entrance)
  • Trinket (3 places. 2 on furniture, 1 on shelf)
  • Wall (2 placements)
  • Ceiling (roof of second floor)
There are 105 mail requests. You can have 5 active at a time. Once you complete one you will get a new one. They are gated by main story progression so the further along in the story you are the more you will get. There might even be more than 105 but these are all the ones I got throughout playing.

They fall into several categories. I will list them out with their rewards. This is not necessarily the order you obtain them.

Whilst playing the main game, you will receive requests from the villagers at your mail box and you will be rewarded with an item for your hut when you turn it in. You can then press triangle.png at your hut and press on any of the blue patches to add your chosen item there.

There are over 80 errands in the game. You will need to complete 71 errands in order to fully furnish your hut and 5 tasks can be active at once. It is best to attempt this after you have obtained and completed Broken Tooth as a chunk of the objectives will be obtained naturally during this. When the errand then pops up, it will be automatically completed.

You can view your outstanding requests in the mail tab in the main menu. Some will be straightforward whilst others will require a bit of thought. These are the errands I completed:

Story Progression
Errand Notes
Get everyone back to Snaxburg Main questline
Tell ghost stories with friends      Main questline
Find all the sauces Each sauce will be collected will attempting to catch the snax

Scanning
Errand Notes
Shy Weenyworm with ketchup on it This is found in a cave just before the Sweet Fryder at Scorched Gorge. Throw ketchup on one and scan away
50 environmental objects If you haven’t completed this naturally, scan any objects that pop up with ?????
Basketball Hunabee Go to Chandlo’s court at Sugarpine Woods, grapple a basketball, throw it at a Hunabee and scan it. It may take a few attempts
Crapple carrying another Crapple At Simmering Sands, lob chocolate onto your buggyball and lead one crapple to the one further down the beach. Throw chocolate onto one crapple and the other will carry it

Flaming BBQ Burger This was a bit annoying. Lure the Bunger to the Scorpenyo with ketchup and then throw hot sauce on the Bunger. The Scopenyo will spit fire which should hit the Bunger. It took me a few attempts for the Bunger to be hit instead of me
Sandopede hanging from a Lollive Throw some ranch at the Sandopede in Flavour Falls so that the Lollive on the higher area (where the inchworm is) will grab part of it

Picantis caught in Flapjackarak’s whirlwind At Sizzlin’ Sands, get the Flapjackarak to chase you to a Picantis and then throw chocolate on the Picantis. It should use the whirlwind attack sending the Picantis in the air.

Donate mystery snax at Gramble’s Barn
You may have completed some naturally depending on what you had previously donated
Errand Notes

Catch one too many snax with a fully expanded Snakpack Donate snax to the barn until your pack reaches max capacity, then catch more snax than you can carry and you’ll have to choose to replace one
Complete all sidequests required for trophy_platinum.png
Interview Eggabell for the 2nd time Find her by the closed door at Frosted Peak
Get launched out of bounds by a bugsnak Frozen Peak – stand by the edge of a cliff by the Scoopy Banopy’s route. Throw some chocolate on the ground near you so that it actually notices you and it will freeze you, the impact of which should knock you off
Stay on fire continuously for 30 seconds The easiest place for this is the lava pool at Boiling Bay
Capture all Bugsnax required for trophy_platinum.png
Fall from uppermost levels of Frosted Peak to the bottom You don’t actually have to fall to where the Sodie is, the level above will do it

Broken Tooth
Errand Notes

Purge a Spaghider One of two snax that isn’t required during the story progression. Cover shrink spice in cheese sauce to shrink it then use the snak trap or trip shot to capture it and finally donate at Shelda’s box
Capture all Bugsnax The only one left now, unless you went out of your way to capture it, will be the Deviled Eggler. Throw hot sauce onto the Millimochi which it will then attack, melting it’s spicy exterior. Throw some shrink spice at it and capture with the bug net.

Find Lost Items
Errand Notes
Beffica On top of tree by her cave at Garden Grove, you will need to launch yourself with the lunchpad
Filbo Go to the top floor of Lizbert and Eggabell’s hut and jump across the trees to reach it
Wambus Flavour Falls – at the far north area, go through a gap to see a platform which you’ll need to launch yourself to be able to reach. The fertilizer is on (or beside) the platform
Wiggle At the left side of the beach, in the sea, there is a rock formation which holds this sack. You will need to use the lunchpad a few times to get to the top.
Triffany Climb Frosted Peak to Eggabell’s camp site. You won’t be able to see the bag, but you’ll have to use the lunchpad on several ledges to get to the tip of the peak and collect this
Cromdo On top of the rock formation near the BBQ Bunger. From the small bridge, not the windmill side, launch yourself onto the outcropping rock that is mounting a log. You will then be able to climb the rest of the way

To improve the house you need to carry out the instructions of the hrumbs. If you completed the game, you will probably complete about 30 tutorials at once.
You will be given various furniture.
In the process, the hrumbs will make the walls and then the second floor.
When you fill in all the cells that can be changed, you will receive a trophy.

I had to complete (complete) about 15-25 assignments to completely complete the house.

Most likely, after finishing the story and all the slides, you will be missing a couple of decorations in front of the house and on the second floor. First, find the type of item you need using the guide above and remember what quests you need. The game gives out 5 random quests at the same time, so we carry out the easiest of these 5 until the quest you need appears.
The second floor will be built for you for a reason, but for completing any 50 tasks from the box

A very inconvenient trophy, especially if you've already beaten the game before.
Not only did I have to go through the game almost completely (to the point of no return, but with all the additional tasks) a second time, but I also had to struggle for a long time with the assignments.
The list of orders can be seen in the journal.

Text guide (en) with a list of all improvements and the tasks for which they are given.
Video guide (en) with a minimum set of additional instructions for opening all types of improvements, taking into account that most of them will be given for the plot and additional ones. quests.
The problem is that orders are given in a random order. therefore, how much you have to do to open the necessary ones is for luck.
Video guide (en) on all orders like “donate an unknown yum”
for those who don't want to solve these riddles.
Video guide (en) on all assignments like “feed the unknown yum.”
Video guide (en) on how to catch 5 different yums in 60 seconds.
Video guide (en) on how to catch 5 crunch packets in 30 seconds.
