How to unlock the Pest Control achievement in Bulletstorm - Definitive Guide

XCVii007r1 made a youtube video showing you ALL the Electroflies in Bulletstorm. All you have to do is shoot all the little Electroflies in the swarm and that will count as the Electroflies destroyed in that spot.

Below is the chapter the flies are found in, and then the time on the video to see where you kill them.

2-1: 0:03
3-1: 1:00
3-2: 1:45
4-1: 2:20
4-2: 2:35
4-3: 3:55
5-1: 4:14
5-2: 4:37
6-2: 4:57
7-1: 5:13

Thanks to Jon The Hoff for giving me the info for the times.

Well, you can always go back and repeat chapters to find the electroflies. And their not too hard to find.

So if you destroy a swarm in one area you don't have to go back to that area correct? You can just choose the chapters you missed them in and get those ones?

So can you just destory the swarm / bot and then quit, and load the next chapter that you're missing? Or you actually have to complete the whole subchapter? Or just upto the next checkpoint?

For future reference, yes you can just kill the swarm and then quit to the main menu and it counts.

Hey Games, here is my video guide that will take you through both sets of collectibles, the Electro flies and the NewsBots as they appear in each level so you will be able to collect them in the order they appear.

Electro Flies - there is a total of 21 swarms you have to shoot and are they are blue.

Newsbots - there are 28 of these bots to destroy, they make noices and broadcast so listen out for them.

If like me, you find video guides tedious (no offense to the other posters) the link below is a single page text guide, with pictures.

Electroflies are scattered throughout the whole Single Player Campaign and you should unlock the achievement in Act 7, Chapter 1.

To kill the swarm you'll need to shoot and kill all the flies. So just aim and take a shot at all of them. This can be a bit tricky as some fly around fast, but all will slow down for a second or two at some point so use that as an advantage to get a quick kill. Once all are down, the counter in the top corner will pop up telling you you've killed another swarm.

You'll need to destroy a total of 21 swarms and for a full list on their locations please go HERE.

These are blue fireflies that are very quick-moving that are scattered across the planet of Stygia. There are a total of 21 of them that you must exterminate. Since these fireflies are quick-moving it's best to shoot at them with your automatic Peacemaker Carbine. These are actually easy to spot as long as you're looking for anything that's blue and flying around in a swarm like pack. Killing the entire swarm that you see will reward you with 100 skillpoints and once you exterminated all 21 Electroflies in the game you'll earn the Pest Control trophy. If you missed some of these Electroflies while you were playing for the first time, then don't worry because you can use Chapter Select to go back and destroy the Electroflies that you missed. Not only that but Chapter Select also tells you the Chapter(s) that you missed them on. Use the following video for guides:

Just like new bots are found throughout the game, these flying, bright blue flies, about 8 of them circling in the air, are not so easy to hit with their machine gun, so be patient and some of them can’t even be hit with it, so you need to take a sniper rifle and shoot explosive bullets. There are 21 swarms of them in total.

In those places where flies fly close to the walls, you can use the “Brush Thrower” (a barrel that shoots a bunch of grenades). Just shoot at the wall next to the flies, the bunch will stick to the wall, then press fire again to explode. Usually the explosion is enough to kill an entire swarm of flies.

Each fly circles along the same trajectory and at the same time hangs for a second in the same place. Point your sight at the fly's hovering point and wait for it to appear there. Killing flies this way is not very difficult.
