How to unlock the Team Player achievement in Bulletstorm - Definitive Guide

** Update 3/21/11
As of right now some people are saying this is glitched for them... If there is a workaround I will post it as soon as I know! **

In Anarchy mode, whenever you see an enemy that is glowing blue and has the words "Team challenge" above him, you and your team must perform the given action to that enemy in order to get the team challenge. (See full list below)

Tip - If you don't know what a particular challenge means, hit the BACK button and it will give you a short description of the challenge.

Examples:

Double Penetration - Have two or more teammates shoot an enemy at the same time to kill him.

Slam Dunk - Have one teammate use thumper and make the enemy fly into the air, and have another teammate use thumper on the airborne enemy.

Some challenges involve hitting the enemy into an environment hazard.

Example:

Make a wish - In Grand Central, have one guy either kick or leash the enemy into the air, and have another teammate kick him into the fountain in the middle of the map.

These really aren't too hard if you are playing with a halfway decent team, and the achievement will come in no time.

Here is the complete list of Team Challenges:

Double Penetration - Kill an enemy with a teammate while both firing bullets.

Bullet Kick - Have a teammate kick an enemy and another teammate shoot him while in the air.

Bullet Slide - Have a teammate slide-kick an enemy and another teammate shoot him while in the air.

Pricked - Have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into a cactus.

Voodoo Doll - Have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the walls with pointy objects sticking out of them.

Shocker - Have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into any electrical object.

Feeder - Have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into a Venus Man-Eater

Vertigo - Have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him off a huge drop.

Tug-O-War - Two teammates must simultaneously leash and pull at an enemy.

Blood-Bath - In the level Turbine, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the Juicer.

Make A Wish- In Grand Central, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the fountain in the middle of the map.

Man Crush - In the level Junk Yard, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the giant car crusher down on the lower level of the map.

Not In Kansas - In the level Dead Rock, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the giant tornado in the center of the map

Blood Fountain - In the level Waterworks, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the river.

Ground Chuck - In the level Power Plant, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the Grinder.

Das Boot - Have two teammates simultaneously kick an enemy.

Slam Dunk - Have a teammate thump an enemy into the air, and have another teammate thump the airborne enemy.

Nom Nom Nom - In Dead Rock, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the giant dinosaur skeleton head.

Meatspin - In Grand Central, have a teammate get an enemy into the air, and another teammate kick/leash him into the revolving doors in the corner.

Trapshooting - Have a teammate thump an enemy into the air, and another teammate shoot the airborne enemy.

Mercy - Have a teammate shoot an enemy in the balls, and another teammate kick/shoot his head off when he is kneeling down.

Trip Wire - Have a teammate shoot an enemy in the legs while the enemy is running, and another teammate kill him while he is on the ground.

** Again, if you forget these, they all can be seen in the game if you press the BACK button. **

just for clarity do they have to be done in one game? do you have to be physically involved in getting it or if two other team mates get it do you get it as well? do you get a green check mark when each are completed? thanks!!

@ Thee Bert

1) No they do not have to be done in one game, it is cumulative.

2) If you receive the points for the challenge, then it counts for you. Every time I have gotten points, I have been a part of the challenge. I will find out for sure ASAP.

3) If you get a green check-mark, it is only for that game session. Once you quit and play another game session, the check-marks are gone. Don't worry though: the challenge count does carry over.

Is it possible to do some of them locally with a dummy account signed in?

By Brock M Rambo on 10 Mar 2011 15:57
^^ it is posible to do them locally but i'd have a mate round to help as most of them will require two playrs to do something at the same time.
@thee bert you have to physicaly be one of the people involved i.e. tug-o-war you have to be one of the two to leash him but you dont have to be the one getting the kill. stuff like double penetration everyone can get at the same time

@defrosted Jay. Which ones can be done with only 1 player?

By American RN on 06 Jun 2011 00:11
@ Gam3r xUSAx I think all he means is that some can be done with 2 controllers and one person like Bullet Kick (1 person kicks, then 1 person shoots), but other ones need to be done at the same time (both people simultaneously leash the victim). Most of them could be done with 1 person/ 2 controllers, but it would pretty difficult.

I would highly suggest boosting these, random people online are total idiots.

One day I was just playing casually: played with over 20 people only ran into 1 that had a mic, then everytime a team challenge came up people don't even go for it, they just kill him. It took until Wave 10 (with retries in between) to net my last 7 :/

Popped right on 200 for me

This may be a dumb question, but how can you even possibly attempt to do this with 2 controllers since the game does not have split-screen support?

By spacedvest2 on 06 Oct 2011 22:24
@Rogue, yeah I know, others were mentioning using two controllers, but like you said, that is impossible

Anyway again some of the comments here are wrong. You have to get these online, that is what makes it difficult because random people are dumbasses and often mess up getting the challenges. Also, you don't have to be one of the people directly involved in a challenge. If your team gets one and you are just standing there, everyone on the team gets points, and you get credit towards the 200 total.

yeah i know what everyone means about randoms being idiots, so many times i've seen challenges like "das boot" and "slam dunk" and i've had teammates just open fire on them. about 1 out of 4 people seem to do this. it's taken me roughly 5-6 hours to get about 120. playing with randoms the whole time.

I just kept searching for games until it let me be host. Then I let the game sit there for a few hours. Randoms will complete challenges once in a while and when they do, you get credit for it. I did this method for about 3 hours a day for 1 week and went from 120 to 199 and got my achievement.

if you have 4 people in a game and 2 people go for the challenge would everyone in that game get credit for that challenge? just asking since having everyone go for it at once will most likely mess up the team challenge.

By L1ttlemike on 02 Oct 2011 18:46
@ space: I don't think you can do it with 2 controllers, you have to either play online with friends or randoms to get this done.

@ L1ttlemike, I believe there is an option under the stats menu somewhere where it says how many you have done :) It's been a while since I've played this game but I remember there being an option like that.

Poped as soon as I hit 200 ( I had already got anarchy master however not final echo ( lvl 66 chevo)

We done it over 2 sessions as I had some already from years ago useing/trying serval maps as doing just dead rock got boring.

we found water works was far superior faster by far also it was easier to goto lvl 9 instead of lvl 5 them restart as you get mupitible challenges in one round after lvl 5 and with that map it's a lot simpler as we mainly seemed to get bullet slide and two other of the easiest ones.

You can check how many you have by going to barracks and look under challenges completed.

So Chunkykong and I came up with a boosting method for this, but it takes probably somewhere between 8-11 hours depending on your skill..

Private match, 2 players on dead rock.
Timings : 2-4 minutes per round.

Method:
Play through to round 3 just killing everything, don't upgrade anything other than your PCM power.

At round 4 you will have 2 Team Kill opportunities before the end of level Team kill, and generally they will be the lower difficulty ones such as Bullet Kick/Slide and something like team shocker/pricked/vertigo etc.

So, kill all the guys in the level until you hit the first team Kill. Complete the kill, then carry on until the next team kill and complete that one.

At this point, drop controllers and let the baddies that spawn kill you. The player hosting the match hits a and you start again, carrying over your skill points in the process. Continue to power up your weapons as up like, but just rinse and repeat the 2 team kills and then allow yourself to die.

Notes:
Don't upgrade your kick power or armour
Be careful with upgrading explosive weapons as you can accidentally take out the team kills when they appear in crowded areas.
Team Bullet kick/slide is safest in front of the feeder plant and the rock with cacti/bones on it.
Vertigo should be done on the platform at the far side of the map, and is also handy for shocker.

Finally, you could play through to the later levels where there are more team kill opportunities and therefore reduce the time (and increase your skill point count) however the baddies are harder to kill and really can get in the way..

I have attempted this numerous times and only ever had the team kill at the end of round 4. Round 5 however has multiple challenges.

we found water works was far superior faster by far also the challenges were so simple on that map instead of going to 5 and restarting it was just as easy on that map to goto 9 then restart allbeit you mention a different method of all the maps we tried over time water works was deff the easiest for this chevo mainly due to the challanges on that map mainly being bullet slide and double penetration all the way up to lvl 9

You can check how many you have by going to barracks and look under challenges completed.

WARNING!

AS OF JUNE/JULY 2014, ALL ONLINE TROPHIES HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED!

EA and NetherRealm Issue GameSpy Updates
The flags on this game were never changed but GameSpy Technology shut down so the servers to Bulletstorm closed. This makes it impossible to get any online trophy, so it's now also impossible to 100% the game.

COMPLETIONISTS BEWARE: THIS GAME CAN NEVER BE COMPLETED.

When playing Anarchy and fighting through a wave, you'll notice that some enemies that spawn will have Green Text above their head and a Blue Glow. When you see this, it means its a Team Challenge and the enemy requires a certain Skillshot death by you and your teammates.

Each one is worth 2,000 SP, so make sure look out for them! Its best to leave said enemy until the rest of the wave is clear and your team can concentrate on him and only him to make sure the Skillshot is pulled off successfully! The last enemy in a wave is normally a Team Challenge, so look out for them near the end of a wave spawn.

If you or your teammates don't know how to do the Team Challenge, press back to go to the Skillshot screen and have a look at the explanation or a little side message will pop up on screen with the much needed info.

For a full list of all the Team Challenges you'll come across please go HERE.

*Please note that the servers for this game have now closed, meaning that this trophy is now unobtainable.*

See Anarchy Master. This will come naturally while you're boosting for the Anarchy Master trophy. This will take a longtime for 200 is a long number of challenges to perform. By doing the Anarchy Master method successfully you'll earn an average of 30-40 Team Challenges for completing a game across all the 20 waves. I recommend trying to get this trophy out of the way 1st before you start solo boosting to level 65 by yourself. This is because you'll end up in high levels around 40-55+ before you and your partner receive your final 200 team challenges completed.

When you play "Anarchy" you get a kind of challenge for a team like "Finishing" (one kicks the other and shoots Actually, you need to complete 200 of these team skillshots.
The number of things done can be seen in the statistics.
Actually, there is no way to do it alone.
