How to unlock the Boosting Around the World achievement in Burnout Paradise - Definitive Guide

The boosting into a static object or in a circle no longer work since the bike patch. If you want, you can look up how to remove that patch and do the achievement offline, but that wasn't my thing.

The easiest way I found to do this was to use the Nakamura SI-7 Hydros Custom and go to the stunt event just west of the stadium (SE corner of the map). When you start the stunt event it causes there to be less traffic on the road. Go west and then south to the I88 entrance and go into oncoming traffic. Being in oncoming traffic will keep your boost refilling.

Then just boost away watching out for the occasional car and those annoying toll booths.I would recommend tapping the brake after each burnout to keep the speed reasonably low to ease the dodging.

***Edit : Per the comments, please note that since the patch the SI-7 doesn't work well. Try the Hydros Custom.

My advice would be to not freak out when it looks like you're in the lane of an on coming car. Also watch out for toll booths, i managed to get to x46 (which yeah, it doesn't matter as long as you went over x20) but it all ended hitting a toll booth.

An easier way to get this is to start a long race online with traffic off. I-88 in the oncoming lane (still renews boost with no traffic.) with any slower speed boost car. Also, you can let off the gas but not the boost and it still works-keeps the speed very manageable. An occasional drift doesn't hurt either. I did this without even telling the other racers what I was doing and my father-in-law did the same and had time to get a 14X before hitting a toll booth. He still had time to get back to 20X before the end race timer hit zero.

Thanks for the tips! Thumbs up. I used the GT Nighthawk, I'd advise using that one to everyone who has the legendary cars expansion pack.

Worked perfectly, got the achievement 1st try using Hydros Custom, many thanks. Only crashed at 42x, which motivated me to get the 1 million points achiev using this method (takes around 45x). That one took me 5 tries or so, kinda frustrating, but eventually I got a 67x burnout combo and more than 2M.

Excellent technique. Without Stunt Run, I could only get 3x or 4x. During Stunt Run, I got 20x on the second try. (And it feels less cheap than the gas station method.)

Great advice. Worked absolutely perfectly.

I did it on freeburn which really limited the number of cars

Great tip! Trying this with the fastest cars is almost impossible. No matter how good you are, in a split second you crash. With this trick I succeeded on the first try laugh

Bonus achievement. If you do this during a stunt run and string together a 46X chain you'll get the Millionaire's club achievement.

I found that using the Hydros made this incredibly easy. No need to even type the brakes, just drive and don't hit anything.

I don't have reflekses to do this in high speed for too long.

I found out I could get this by holding accelerate, brakes and boost buttons alltogether. This makes the car unstabil, because it's sliding, but I'm better at control something uncontrolable than highspeed chases.

Just FYI for those who feels the same way about the high speed thing.

About the millionaries club achievement, it's not a 46x string boost, but just 1 mio. points all together, so if you mess up (like I did) just keep going with a new string till you've got 1.000.000 or more points (showed at the top of the screen)

Works great. When you first pick up some billboards in stuntrun, you get a multiplier and don't need x46 or so for the Millionaire's club achievement. I got 2.8 miljon point with a x33 boot run.

Sweet Solution. Got it first try this way. One thing for other people that go for this achievement using this solution is make sure that you take the turns wide. Avoid hitting the walls straight on. +1 from me.

This method no longer works as it was patched since title update 1.9.

If you are playing on an Xbox 360 console, you can delete the title update, load the game, decline the update, then play the game offline and earn the achievement using the method above.

And if you wanted to try this online...

Freeburn Online method no longer works due to online services that closed as of August 1, 2019, at 12:00 AM UTC.

Online services are still running in Burnout Paradise Remastered on Xbox One where this achievement is obtainable in Freeburn Online (host sets up a custom race with no traffic).

Since they've patched the game you can't chain boost in open spaces (stadium, quarry, airfield) anymore (at least not more than 3 burnouts anyway).

The next best solution is to find a friend - set up a race with long start and end points, turn the traffic off and go boosting into oncoming 'traffic' on I88. You can tap the brake every so often to maintain control, but the chain quickly grows.

This achievement was quite easy to do. I just changed the daysettings to night (=less traffic and a better view imo because you see the front lights of the oncoming traffic), then I grabbed the Gt concept carbon. This car is a fast car but you should be able to handle it. After selecting the car, I drove to the I-88 and started to boost in the oncoming traffic. I didn't press RT the whole time and sometimes I had to press LT, to reduce the speed. The first two times I didn't reach the 20X boost but on my third try it worked and I got a 43X boost. After that I crashed into a toll gate.

I ended up using LT a lot. Just be careful, because if you ride LT too much you might not get another burnout (or worse, come to a complete stop).

Also, be careful LTing anywhere but a straightaway; I crashed several times because I went into a drift unintentionally and lost control.

Amazing how much nerves play into this achievement. It took me four or five attempts to actually get up to x20, but then afterwards I stopped hitting LT at all and was able to get up to x34.

Grab a friend and start a private freeburning match. Then have the host start a race with a start point close to the freeway (the end point doesn't matter). Change the settings to no traffic and pick any speed car (the slower the better). Then with your friend, get on the oncoming side of the freeway and start boosting. You should keep getting burnouts as long as you don't leave the oncoming side. And watch out for the toll booths. Good Luck

THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE TOY CAR PACK.

a good way do do this is to get a toy car( I used the toy Kreiger WTR) and drive along the I-88 in the oncoming lane. Toy cars are are harder to crash than regular I had to slow down a couple times in order to not cash into the toll booths or another car.

This achievement can also be won by using the Hydros Techno (upgraded version of the Hydros Custom) and driving against traffic on the I-88 freeway. I got the chain up to 35X before crashing.

The I-88 is the big yellow roadway on your map that encircles nearly the entire city.

Here's a REALLY easy way to get this. Just set up a freeburn online, (note: you may need to let one person join to create a race), set up a race anywhere, turn traffic OFF, then simply boost around I-88 (the highway) on the incoming lane to constantly fill your boost. You don't even have to deal with traffic.

I did it this way and got the achievement on my first try with extreme ease.

I saw this in a youtube video sometime ago. What you do is uninstalll the V1.9 patch (move to a flash drive or delete it) go to the wildcats baseball stadium, and do a boost donut inside the stadium and you'll get a 20x boost chain in no time. That's how I got and it was easy if you don't have a friend to help. Aslo be sure you use the "Carson Fastback Special" for this achievement and it's yours.

In my opinion the easiest way to complete this is first select the Hydros Custom and then pick the Stunt event that is close to the Stadium because as "NighthawkJoV" said it causes less traffic. Then i drive left until just before the gap over the bridge where i turn south so i get to the I-88. Then just keep driving and boosting in oncomming traffic. I got a boost chain of 57 before it got too boring. So i think this is one of the easiest way.

Note if you get a high enough boost chain you will eventually get over 1000000 Stunt Points so you also get the Millionaire's Club Achievement.

SO THERE'S A VERY EASY WAY THE EVERYONE'S MISSED.

Basically pick the slowest car and go from there. I got this achievement 10 after starting the game.

The first car is the Nakumura S for speed i believe. As it is front wheel drive you can hold down the brakes and the accelerator at the same time and cn_A to boost so ( cn_RTcn_LTcn_A ). Now just drive around avoiding traffic and walls and you're golden.

Just pick a route or go around the map. I will post a video shortly

Kitano Hydros in sector I-88 ONCOMING at night. Good handling and medium velocity because don't break the boost chain and is very easy to control them. Just hold the A (boost) and take care with cars oncoming. I did this and reaches in the first try. (BR)

Using the same technique as described in "Millionaire's Club" achievement, you should be able to reach a x20 burnout while driving around the I-88. I started a stunt run and then chained burnouts around the freeway into oncoming traffic. The only reason for using a stunt run is so there is a reduced amount of traffic.
