How to unlock the The dreamlike investigation achievement in Call of Cthulhu - Definitive Guide

At the beginning chapter 10, while you're in jail, Chief West will be called away to a riot. Afterward, you will be visited by the Leviathan. Feel free to select what you like as the first response (Struggle, Try to Speak or Submit). After that, you will have another choice, either to "Accept the Knowledge" or "Refuse the Knowledge". Simply select "Accept the Knowledge" and the achievement is yours.

The achievement did not unlock when i picked "submit" during the first choice and then accepted in the second choice. When playing again and choosing "Struggle" as the first choice and the accepted on the second - it did unlock.

I picked "try to speak" for the first choice and "refuse" for the second. I then got it when the Leviathan came back and I had to choose between six R’lyehian dialogue options. Not sure if it matters which one I chose, but I went with the bottom right, and that's when the achievement popped.
Yeah so I'm really confused because I guess you DON'T need to pick "accept"...? Maybe it's due to other choices I made throughout the game.

I believe if your sanity is low enough, even if you "refuse", you'll be forced in game to go along the "accept" path, which is what I think happened here.

Choosing "accept" should of course automatically unlock the achievement. Not sure what happened with the poster above -- could be a unlock glitch, this game has a LOT of that going on (see other achievements for examples)

At the beginning of Chapter 10 you will be visited by Leviathan in the prison. You will be asked point blank to accept or refuse his knowledge, obviously choose to accept for this achievement.

Missable.

In Chapter 10, you’ll be locked up in a cell and will eventually be talking to Leviathan. He will ask you to “accept the knowledge”, make sure to choose to accept it to unlock this trophy.
