How to unlock the Admiral achievement in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Definitive Guide

Got this playing solo--make sure early on you get the new weapon LZ-52 Limbo. This will be your main gun throughout the run. The main area I camped in was the cargo hold--I just ran in circles around the map getting large trains of zombies and then using the LZ-52 to mow them down. Just make sure you don't waste ammo and use it when you get a larger group of zombies. Since the LZ slices zombies in half you'll almost always be guaranteed a crawler at the end of the round. With one or more crawlers left make sure you upgrade the LZ at least once per round in the later stages in the armory room (will refill ammo when you do this) and make sure to get all orbital drops. For the bomb diffusing make sure you get to the bomb area as fast as possible and spray the LZ-52 at the soldiers as quickly as you can. They will drop a camouflage icon every time you kill one giving you enough time to diffuse the bomb and then make a b-line back to the cargo hold. For infection rounds I tried running the trains as long as possible in the cargo room and retreated to the moon room when I would get infected. Then just run trains in the moon room and if you get infected again just cure yourself until the round ends.
Toward the later rounds you'll need to start using the LZ the entire time so make sure you have enough money saved in case you need to run to the armory for a quick ammo refill and upgrade.
Good luck!

There are a few things to do for this achievement in order to make it simple.

First of all, I suggest getting as many perks as possible, preferably Health and Medic if on solo. Also, try to get yourself some Distraction Drones as well as the new Stockpile perk to get additional Drones.

If you want to do this on your own, a couple of good places to train are in the Moon Pool and in Cargo. The reason for these two areas are because they offer plenty of open space, they both have traps available for use and they both have a wall weapon that you can purchase and upgrade to which you will have unlimited ammo whenever you need it.

In the interest of making this as simple as possible, here is a couple of glitches that we have found to be quite useful. The links below will lead you to our Youtube Channel.

(We don't recommend using these glitches in public matches for the sake of banning possibilities, however, the achievement can be obtained from private matches which are fine.)

Absolutely. We would be more than glad to help. Just add one or both of us on xbox and we can set something up. Col Coffee and Aaron Levi 91 are our gamertags.

Yeah they were patched not too long after we posted the solution. Just haven't had time to come remedy the guide. Hope it helped at least some people though. I have some other manual strategies if people are interested, also we would be more than glad to join and help anyone out who needs this achievement.

This guide uses a glitch to get out of bounds and not be hit.

NOTE: it’s to my belief that being in this glitch for round 29-30 voids the achievement for being in the radius of this glitch spot. Leave the glitch when it’s about to be round 29 and finish the last one in the moon pool or cargo room, both very safe areas. I prefer the cargo hold (where your exo is) because it has Chompy that kills and distracts zombies, it is a spawn for Sentinel/Atlas drops, and the multiple crates make escape from the horde easier. The area out of bounds is also very easy to die to death barrier when you move at all, so don’t move, just aim. Aim the telefrag up towards the ceiling and throw to get out and only defuse bombs that are in the hangar, unless your going for the defuse 5 achievement

Skip to 1.50 or look at the screenshot.

Make sure to note that he is going into the spot with two teleport bombs, meaning he can teleport out whenever he wants. Also look at where Ashley is aiming when he’s throwing the teleport frag. This positioning and low aim in the middle of the fence are crucial to not messing up.

The best guns to do this with are #1 the Cauterizer shotgun (kind of like AWs ray gun), and #2 being the S-12 or the Limbo WW.

On round 1, shoot zombies in the leg 4 times and melee. On round 2 shoot 7 times, and round 3 shoot 8 times before you melee. Use the grenade disposal to get some free points and keep in mind you get a free grenade every round, no matter what round it is. The wall is very good for opening up the doors to your exo a lot sooner.

Here is a list of things that don’t matter or hurt you when you’re in this god spot
Zombies
Infected
Dogs
Goliath (AST) enemies
And..
Every other bomb EXCEPT the one in the HANGAR. Defuse this one quickly since it will infect you, flushing you out of your hiding spot and push you through tight hallways to disinfect. (Hint, this is where the S-12 pays off)

In order to earn the trophy, you have to complete the first 29 waves and enter into wave 30 for it to unlock. The game is increasingly more difficult depending on how many people are in your group and how much you communicate. If you're trying to survive until wave 30 then I highly recommend getting contact grenades and either the Cel-3 Cauterizer or the S-12 or the new LZ-52 Limbo Gun. Upgrade whatever gun you choose to run with as soon as you can. The contact grenades are 750 credits and replace your frag grenades. Teleport grenades are a new tool that is also useful for clearing out hordes of the undead, or getting you out of a tricky area. The LZ-52 Limbo gun, Cauterizer and S-12 guns must be obtained via the 3D printer.

Tips & Strategies:

  • Avoid narrow areas where you can become easily trapped, and run around a big area in a circular fashion. For example run around the outside perimeter of your area. I recommend the Cargo Area where the Exo-Suits are.
  • You can only take two hits before you are downed without the Exo Health Upgrade. Use Exo-Boost to fly out of dangerous situations.
  • Use the area traps to help you thin the herd.
  • If you are playing solo, the Exo Medic upgrade allows you to self revive, and can be repurchased and used 3 times in one game.
  • Upgrade Exo-Health first. Unless you're playing solo, then get Medic first for the self-revive.
  • If you are playing in co-op, pay attention to your group and communicate.
  • Be sure to pick up Atlas Drops as they appear on your screen.
  • Note that you receive one free grenade of each type that you carry after completing each round.
  • Buy the new perk in Med Bay for 2000. It will let you carry 5  grenades and 3  grenades, in addition to this it will also allow you to carry extra ammo for whatever gun you have.
  • Remember to pay 2,500 to upgrade your guns to help kill zombies, especially in the later rounds.
  • If you get stuck and swarmed, look down and shoot a contact or teleport grenade at your feet to clear away the zombies.

It's probably easiest to defend in the cargo compartment, there's plenty of room for maneuver. Constantly activate "Zhevastik", zombies will be distracted by it.
