How to unlock the Exo Flip achievement in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Definitive Guide

Right, so basically, it's not as complicated as it sounds. To acquire the achievement all you have to do is complete round 25 on any Exo Survival map. When this occurs, you'll learn that the map will now be "flipped" and the round number will revert back to 1 (but 12), to start again.

I'd suggest that you play in a 2+ session (I'm clueless as to how solo pans out) and choose different classes - so one would be Specialist whilst the other's Heavy. This way, you'll gain different scorestreaks which will help you to get by. The enemies will get harder (and more tactical) after the flip, but that doesn't really matter as you'll have the achievement! Yay.

Tips:
-The map I used was "Retreat", playing Co-Op. Me & my friend camped (...I'm sorry) on top of the stairwell that is positioned inside the building next to the Armory, in a "back-to-back" fashion, ensuring we didn't become the victims of flanking. Note that enemies also possess Exo abilities and can therefore jump up to you, so be careful. When it came to the Objective rounds (that cycle between defusing bombs, collecting tags, retrieving intel from fallen foes & getting 'defend' kills), my friend would kill them off whilst I was completing the objective, so I had protection. Also note that if you fail an objective, you're going to come across some form of setback - which, I've seen, can be pistols only, enemy smoke grenades, a system hack & nano strikes - so I'd suggest you make an effort to complete the objectives.
-Goliaths/LMGs are useful when "Mechs", a.k.a Goliaths, arrive. They can also be taken out with 4 melee attacks (using your knife) so if there are two or more players, just gang up on the poor soul. I'm unsure if the amount of melee attacks needed changes but it's 4 for quite a bit.
-Pick a weapon and stick with it! The points you would otherwise use on buying new weapons could be spent on something more beneficial, like the damage/armor upgrades and also upgrading certain scorestreaks (UAV FTW).

Good luck, and I hope you succeed.

edit: props to bballer420 for helping out.

You'll only need 2 players min but, 4 is even better.

I recommend selecting the Heavy class as it can take the most damage and it's default laser weapon has unlimited ammo and is powerful enough to keep the entire game.

Keep this weapon and never change it at all, not once.

Now, the map I recommend is 'Terrace' cause on this map it's got a special cave-like area close to the exo suit upgrade terminal where 2 or more people can pretty much camp inside and control the only 2 points of entry for the AI to enter.

I would also recommend ignoring the objectives rounds that pop up as it's not worth the risk and the penalty is usually pistols or distorting of the screen for only a few minutes. By all means, do the ones that are close to you or when all the enemies have been dealt with.

Upgrade weapon proficiency and armour every time you have a chance to their max levels (10).

If you need to take a break etc, you can leave 1 drone in the sky and hide inside any room and the game will continue on until you kill the drone.

Cheers!

P.S. Following these methods, should allow you to get up to 50+ rounds easy.

You only need 1 player. You can do this solo easily. This is not hard at all

This Trophy is one of the more harder trophies on this game in my opinion, but I came up with a pretty good strategy to get it solo. First off in order to flip a map you have to beat round 25, after round 25 you'll be reset down too round 1 but the enemies will be abit tougher. Getting this first flip to happen will give you the trophy, There is also a trophy for beating round 25 a second time, called "Flip Flop"

Now the strategy I used to get it Solo was to play on the map bio lab on regular difficulty, using the Light class, and to keep circling around the map, while stoping briefly to take out enemies here and there, I strongly recommend to NOT camp or stop in any place for too long, Enemies will surround you so quickly if you don't keep moving, only stop briefly. I also recommend to not put to much focus on objectives (dog tags, intel, defusing bombs) they will give you more upgrade points if you complete them but your main focus should always be surviving, Also if there's a round that turrets spawn, try take them out as quick as possible, even during rounds work on getting rid of them.

Now for upgrades, Only upgrade between rounds. I always wait until round 8 before I use any upgrade points, I sometimes have to use some upgrade points to refill ammo if I get unlucky and enemies don't drop one of those green ammo boxes, but I try avoid that if possible. So anyway on round 8, I purchase the ARX-160 over my pistol and also got the Extended Mags attachment on it. I found that gun to be very effective for me personally.
Then after fighting through to wave 10, I then went and purchased as much Armor as I could and also put a couple of upgrades on weapon proficiency in Exo stats of the Exo upgrades console, and continued to upgrade them both until they were both maxed out at 10. Focusing on armor first but also giving some love to weapon proficiency. Once you have them both maxed out you should notice a huge difference in how strong you are and how quickly you can drop enemies.
After they're both maxed out you can finish upgrading your weapons with stock and grip upgrades.

Just keep circling the enemies around the map as best you can until the map flip happens, It was challenging for me at first as enemies can swarm you pretty quickly at points, if you notice its happening try just sprint away, but after you understand Exo survival its really not to bad.

Good luck all :)

Was gonna write a guide today haha. Good job. Yea 25/50 is a little annoying but it really is fun and deff doable with more people. Bio lab is best choice also imo and ho for armor and weapon proficiency, also choose contact grenades so you could just toss em out and not have to cook em.
I myself go for supply drops/objectives just to have the better help asap(perks/extra streak)
Good luck all; +1 from me

Flipping a map means, that you have to play 25 Waves. Then the whole thing begin from start but now the enemies are stronger. My recommendation isto use the light class and save all your Upgradepoints until round 10 and then spend the, all for more health. Now whatever the level of your health is, upgrade the Weaponstrength to this level too. (Should be 7 or 8) And then upgrade your health to 10 and then the weaponstrenght. So, my Weapon-recommendation is the start MP and the Bal-27. Both with Laser-Marker, Rapid Fire and extended magazine. So, now to the map. I used the map recovery. It's the best in my opinion. You can hide in a building and you can nearly kill everything there. Sometimes you have to get away, but not often. If you play in Co-op with 2+ people you can sit there forever and you will not die. I also recommend that you play it with at least one extra person. Now the Setup for the game: Private Game, Difficulty: Normal, Supplies on. This is actually a very easy Trophy. You shouldn't have much problems with it.

As soon as you complete Wave 25 the map "flips", which sends you back to Wave 1. This pretty much resets the game, but the enemies have better guns, armour etc. You keep all your upgrades, perks and guns though when the map "flips". The trophy will unlock as soon as you complete Wave 25.

See Flip Flop for more info.
