Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Welcome to Exo Survival, the co-op mode that you most likely remember from mw3 (which sledgehammer made). As you may already know, this achievement ties into the hidden zombie mode which unfortunately isn't unlocked straight from the start.

How do you unlock the Exo Survivor achievement then you might be asking? Well it's simple. You must play enough rounds of the co-op mode to unlock it!

Let me explain; The map we are looking for is known as Riot (the prison map) and is ranked as a "TIER 4" Map which means we have to go through the previous TIERS to unlock it. From what I've seen the rounds count in private match also so if you have some buddies on, invite them in and start beating as many rounds as possible on each map and you will unlock it.

TIER 1:
Map: BioLab
Map: Retreat
Map: Detroit
Map: Ascend

You must complete 50 "TIER 1" Map rounds to unlock "TIER 2".

TIER 2:
Map: Horizon
Map: Comeback
Map: Terrace
Map: Instinct

You must complete 75 "TIER 2" Map Rounds to unlock "TIER 3".

TIER 3:
Map: Greenband
Map: Solar
Map: Recovery
Map: Defender

You must complete 100 "TIER 3" map rounds to unlock "TIER 4"

TIER 4:
Map: RIOT

Now we have "TIER 4" unlocked, jump into the map Riot and start playing. You must overcome 10 rounds of normal enemies and once round 11 has come around, you will have started the Bonus Round. All you have to do now is survive and then once you get a countdown timer on your screen, run towards the extraction zone and after a cutscene plays, the achievement will unlock.

Edit 1: I have posted a method over here which will help with all Exo achievements and a way to reach riot faster.


Edit 2: If you have a friend or find Somone with the achievement and they have the map riot, you can skip all the above and get the achievement that way but you won't make any progress towards the other achievements (50 matches, Classes, Flip a Map)

It's a good idea to stick together in this spot and to hide behind the boxes ect as you will see in the video below.
Because it's on Tier 4 you may think it's hard but no it's very easy when you work together as a team.
I would highly recommend going where we did in the video as it's a great spot!

Once you've unlocked the tier 4 map, riot, load it up and start playing. Once you get to wave 11 a DNA bomb will drop and turn everyone into zombies. Survive until the countdown begins and then head to the extraction.

Or you can nearly die at the end like me and let someone else head to the extraction. XD

As long as someone makes it everyone in the party will get it.

Here's the method I used to do this solo with very little trouble.

SETUP
After unlocking the Riot map by completing the required amounts of rounds for each of the previous tiers. Start a Private match on Riot with Regular difficulty.

I selected the heavy, but select whatever class you are comfortable with. The first 10 rounds go through the regular progression of all other maps. Round 11 will be the bonus round. You will loose all Exo abilities so use what you can to make it to round 11 (I lost 2 Goliath's).

ZOMBIE ROUND
The only thing you will have to start the round is a pistol. Guns will be on the ground highlighted in yellow. I picked up the shotgun.

The main strategy I used is I ran around the outside of the prison in a circle. Periodically turning around to fire off a few shots to clear a few zombies.

Run a bit ahead to reload when its safe, then run a bit more to gain distance to turn and fire a few more shots.

Run-> Turn and Fire->Run -> Reload-> Rinse and repeat.

The Key is to stay moving. The zombies can jump and will corner you if you camp. Run through the prison, or wherever you have too. Just keep moving.

After a few minutes it will show you the extraction point on the map. Run and avoid zombies, and when you get close to the marker it will show a cutscene, and the cheevo will pop.
