How to unlock the Fire and Forget achievement in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Definitive Guide


Mission: Fission

Near the beginning of the mission, you're teammate will notify you of the Mobile Defense Turret. Quickly go up to it and enter it. It has two different fire modes, but for the achievement/trophy, you want to use the bumper to "mark" enemies, and then let go for the homing missiles to kill the enemies.

You can stay at the mobile turret spawn, and slowly keep waiting for more enemies, but I recommend going a little forward for lots of enemies (15+) to spawn along with tanks/choppers. Make sure you don't go too far forward, or the turret will break, and you will be kick out. You should have no problem getting 10+ kills with these homing missiles.

I've done this a few times. 20 kills minimum each time, still no achievement. Veteran difficulty. Anyone else having problems?

In mission 4 (Fission) you will come across a mini tank type of vehicle. Enter it and start using your LOCK ON missiles you can do this by holding in cn_RB then after marking men release cn_RB.

Just started the mission 4 you'll be in an open battle. You must runand take the half-destroyed turret quickly and kill 10 enemies with its missiles.

Mission 4: Fission

At the start of this mission you will be in a helicopter, then shortly afterwards you zipline down to the ground. Once on the ground head onto the road and you will see a tank thing, that looks like a futuristic car. This is the mobile turret. Simply go up to it and hold to get into it. Once you have control of it, all you need to do is kill 10 enemies. There are plenty of enemies so don't worry about doing it quickly. Press (PS4) or (PS3) to shoot the rockets. If you are having trouble finding the turret, please refer to the video below.

At the very beginning of the mission, after landing from a helicopter, we run to the turret and kill 10 enemies from it. You need to kill with missiles (you just aim the target designator)
