Here is a video guide on how I unlocked the achievement. This was done with 2 players.
1. Head to Burgertown by following the signs near the Exo Suit location.
2. On Wave 10 the Goliath will spawn.
3. Kill all other zombies until it's only the Goliath left.
4. Use the roof of the main building to run the Goliath around in circles.
5. When he stops, jump in and melee him. Quickly move away before he hits you.
6. Continue doing this until he dies.
- It's pretty difficult to tell when he is getting ready to die so shoot him some and then stop and keep melee hitting him.
- Exo Health and Exo Medic are both very useful for this achievement.
- The Goliath will spawn at whatever location you are at on Wave 10. I just used the Burgertown area for the rooftop.

This is for solo. It seems that the Goliath regenerates health and so to only melee him to death requires MULTIPLE consecutive strikes. After figuring this out I attempted many times to soften him up with whatever weapons I had but couldn't hit the right time to stop firing and knife without killing him first. What did wind up working (quite easily in fact) was to toss a nano-swarm at him. The nano-swarm paralyzes him enough that you can go to town knifing him in the back to get the achievement. I recommend that you kill all of the other zombies first before you try this.

Just this solo. I was leading a Goliath around Burger Town for about 15 minutes just taking pops at him when he stops swing his club, maybe 10-15 seconds between hits. Didn't need multiple consecutive hits. Didn't try the nano-swarm though, too afraid of it ending up killing him instead of the melee.

Pretty simple. i did it 2 times this afternoon but there were no achievements at that moment. this is my solution:
1) the goliat zombie arrives at round 10. in that moment you should be in front of burger town
2) wait for the normal zombies, run cross this big area and kill them FIRST
3) now it's only you against the goliat, and it's not difficult at all. he 'll attack you, avoid his attack at the right moment using your exo-movement to your LEFT( he has a shield on your Right) and shoot his head.
4)continue to do the third passage untill you think he's going to die, now instead of shoot melee the goliat and you got the achievement.
Little suggestion: A)upgrade your exo with the juggernog B) when the goliath miss 2/3 attacks he 'll shoot a emp missile (just jump to avoid). the emp attack don't kill you but it's very dangerous when the other zombies are still alive. 3) don't upgrade you weapon so much, you risk to kill him with your weapon instead of melee.
I hope you understand my terrible english :)
Finaly i can update my video solution, maybe my worst try but i got it:
***i remember the first time i almost finish ammo of the primary weapon without upgrade including killing the other zombies ( assault rifle i don't remember wich one on specific) . the goliath has much life but he doesn't indicate that he is near to die. so i can say that it has a lot of life.. the second time i used the laser weapon(don't remember the name but the one you need for the easter egg on the first map) and i have the 13% of laser at the end. i hope it can help

Goliaths are like boss battles. One will spawn every 10 rounds. As the trophy states, the final attack that kills him must be a melee attack.
Tips & Strategies:
- Make sure you have Exo-Heath first (and Exo-Medic if playing solo).
- Run your circle around Burgertown on round 10. Turning around occasionally to kill all the zombies while the Goliath and zombies are chasing you.
- Once the zombies are dead and no more are spawning in; "soften" up the Goliath with a few shots or grenades. Then just try to get the last blow to kill him be a melee attack. Punch once then get away to regain health as he no doubt will punch you back. When not seeing red, go in for another punch. Keep repeating this until he dies.
- One method would be to jump up on the Burgertown roof. Turn around and wait for him to jump up after you. When he does, punch and retreat back down. Let him follow you down then repeat the process of punching him while he's jumping up.
- This can be done in solo, but it's much more easily done in co-op with a buddy. If the Goliath knocks you down then you can have your partner revive you.
