How to unlock the Power Changes Everything achievement in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Definitive Guide

READ THIS BEFORE READING THE REST.

Now if you bought the "Call of Duty:Advanced Warfare Altas limited edition" you get a code to get a "Single player EXOSKELETON upgrade token" now if you used this code you WON'T have to collect all Intel just 20 max but you still have to do all challengers. BUT if you DIDN'T use the code you will have to COLLECT ALL INTEL AND DO ALL CHALLENGERS.

Kills 1600
100 headshots
Kill 320 enemies with Grenades
Collect all Intel (45) (Read above to see if you need to collect all but I would recommend doing this as it's for another achievement.)

YOU NEED TO FINISH THE MISSION FOR THE PROGRESS TO COUNT! DON'T QUIT YOUR GAME! FINISH THE MISSION

I would recommend doing the Second mission "Atlas" for Kills and Grenade kills. At the Grenade training spot just keep spamming the smart grenades there after activating the activity. You will finish the challengers in no time.
If you want some more info on the Grenade spot and how it works please check my following guide here.

Now If you have finished the game you should have killed enough people with headshots if not just go play some missions and it’s pretty easy but do it on a easy difficulty so it’s easier.
Now with the Intel I would recommend watching a video on YouTube and follow along.

I need one more (1) point slot to fill in the Exo suit and have completed the headshots, grenades and kills challenges and it did not unlock. So it seems as though some intel is required.

you need some intel, just not all. If you max out all 4 categories you have 1 extra point.

Strange. I actually needed all of the intel. I wouldn't give me the last (2) points necessary to fill out my remaining slot until I found the last piece of intel.

I have figured out the problem why people have to collect all Intel and why some didn't please read the VERY START on the guide.

Take care! :)

Great guide. I would say that the grenade training spot is a real grind for those kills compared to doing other locations and just reloading the checkpoint.

The amount of headshots one needs is merely 100, with kills being 1600, grenade kills being 320 & the intel being 45.

I would recommend the very end of 'bio lab'. Just before you reach the hover craft in the room where you need to place the jammer. If you stay in there and ignore the objective enemies will keep spawning and there is a place to refill your ammo. Very easy to rack up the grenade kills in this room, probably easy to get regular and head shot kills as well.

I was able to get all the upgrade points via one-and-a-half playthroughs and completely upgraded the exo no problem. However, the cheevo didn't pop. It was showing as unlocked on my console, but not here or Xbox.com. Three days later, I started AW, and, lo and behold, it popped.

Thanks for clarifying. I actually have the Day Zero edition which gives you the Bullet Brass exoskeleton and another cool weapon. I know I've already completed the headshots challenges. I also have already collected all of the intel. Now I just have to farm grenade kills. Your location looks excellent.

Anyone know why this is partially discontinued/unobtainable? Is progress tied to your profile or something so you can't reset it if glitches?

I started the game last week and just unlocked this today. I can 100% confirm this is still unlockable. I have also left a post in the flag submission page so hopefully TA takes the discontinued/unobtainable flag away soon. Happy New Year and Happy Hunting to all!

Still completely obtainable, completed it all in one day. I had even spent some upgrade tokens previously because I got the "spend your first upgrade point" achievement 8+ years ago. However when I started this game again today I had no challenge progress and no upgrades

I had all head shots and intel completed and had 1500 kills down and 100 left, and 270 grenade kills out of 320 left. And still needed 2 more points which was the final kills and grenades. And did a video to show i had everything completed and got my last 2 points with it. So i dunno, probably should just say that you need to do everything including all intel to get this achievement to be honest.

I have a question, if I beat the game and start a new game on veteran for example will the progress reset? Or do I have to do it by mission select?

Apparently this ones bugged because you need a certain special edition with the free upgrade token, but i've never encountered this issue, across the four platforms i've played this game, and none of them have been special editions (Beyond the day 0 xbox 360 copy which didn't come with the code), so it makes me wonder why its flagged as discontinued, maybe it needs removing.

Above guides are great, I would just like to add one helpful tip. For the grenade kills, using the MDL will count towards that challenge which definitely helps. I just played the mission "Armada" twice(after I had completed the game on Veteran) as its a rather short mission and the MDL is given to you as your secondary when you start the mission from scratch. Also, there are two-three ammo crates located throughout the ship were you can refill the MDL. Each playthrough I got about 30-35 grenade kills so it wasn't too shabby.

This is much more helpful because the grenades are very limited so using the MDL will help you complete this challenge quicker.

I found that you can get 55+ grenade kills during the mission Crash. There's an MDL at the beginning of the level. Along with ammo crates and a bunch of guys, in the first section. Later, in the cave section, the game refills the ammo for the guns you have. Giving you 9 more rounds, I believe.

To get this achievement you have to completely upgrade your Exo suit in the campaign. In order to fully upgrade your Exo suit you'll need to complete Exo challenges to get upgrade points. The challenges and there Max out numbers are
Kills-1600
Headshots-175
Grenade Kills-320
Intel- All 45

If you complete all of them you'll have enough points to max out your Exo suit. All the challenges are pretty easy, they can NOT be farmed by reloading checkpoint though but here are the easiest ways I found to get them done.

Kills 1600- After the campaign you should have around 1400 kills, simply replay a few levels to get the remainder.
Headshots 175- this challenge is pretty easy, I got it midway through the campaign without even going for it, if you don't have it by the end of the campaign, simply reply a few levels aiming for enemies heads.
Grenade kills 320- I recommend using your smart grenades whenever you have some throughout the campaign. Also kills with the "MDL" gun count as grenade kills so pick one up whenever possible, if you don't get it by the end of the campaign, Load up the mission "crash" on recruit, After you land there should be a MDL sitting besides the box in front of you. I used this gun and smart grenades throughout the mission to earn heaps of grenade kills also refilling ammo whenever I could.
Intel All 45- the intel is fairly simply to find, use a guide on youtube if you're having trouble, most of the intel is pretty obvious though. I only had to look up a guide for 1 intel.

After all the challenges are done, upgrade your Exo suit between missions on the main menu. :)

Tip for easy & quick gathering of Kills & Granade kills ....just do the granade training over and over again ....is counts towards both. Just don't forget to end the whole level or you will lose all kills :)

You can upgrade your soldier in the SP-Campaign. These are the challanges:

Kill 1600 Enemies
175 Headshots
Kill 320 Enemies with Grenades
Collect all Intel (45)

So i would recommend to do headshots as much as you can. 175 are not much and i had it in Mission 10 or so. Another advise i would give is to do the 320 Grenadekills during Mission 2 in the Grenade-training-section. You can restart it as much as you want and you get 14 kills every time. After i had completet everything i still needed 120 Grenadekills and 340 Kills. So before you have to go back to this mission again i would say do it directly because it will make your way much easier because you have alot of upgrade points right at the beginning and you don't have to focus on grenadekills anymore and kill all the enemies easily with your guns. But if you already have done the campaign and you still need kills, feel free to go back and and do Grenades/Kills here. If you still need Headshots after you did everything else i would take Mission 4 "Fission" There ale alot of enemies right at the start of the level and on recruit you can do Headshots without problems. Another thing to notice is that you have to play the mission until the and to upgrade your suit. I didn't found it anywhere else.

Possibly Glitched!

This trophy is possibly glitched for both versions of the game. There's a glitch that sometimes does not process your challenges, thus not giving you upgrade points. As of November, 5th, 2014, there has been no known solution to resolve this matter. We recommend that you back up your save data regularly after completing every mission to avoid this glitch. For more info:

Impossible to fully upgrade

To earn this trophy, you will need to fully upgrade your Exo suit. Unlike previous Call of Duty games, this one gives you the ability to use "upgrade points". You earn upgrade points by completing Exo challenges. All challenge progress is tied to your player profile, not your save file. Therefore they carry over throughout all your playthroughs and save files. There are four types of Exo challenges:

  • Kills - 1600 total kills to complete the final challenge.
  • Headshot Kills - 100 total Headshots to complete the final challenge.
  • Grenade Kills - 320 total Grenade Kills to complete the final challenge.
  • Intel - Collect all 45 pieces of Intel to complete the final challenge.

(The image above shows the upgrade menu.)

There are a total of 22 upgrades, and you will need to complete all four challenges. In order to upgrade your Exo, you must have upgrade points. You will need a total of 33 upgrade points in order to max out your Exo suit, so you will need to complete 33 challenges. One challenge rewards you with an upgrade point. All four challenges are tiered, so you'll complete challenges while making progress towards the final challenge in each of the four challenges.

You can only access the upgrade menu in between missions, so you'll have to complete a mission before you can use your upgrade points. In order to unlock certain upgrades, you'll have to upgrade a specific upgrade at least once. Also bear in mind that Saving & Quitting, or dying, does NOT save your stat progress.

  • Kills - can be farmed throughout the campaign. The best method to farm kills though, is in the final mission, "Terminus". You can use Chapter Select can farm kills on Recruit difficulty setting. If you kill every enemy you can easily get over 100+ kills and the level can be completed under 10 minutes. Please also bear in mind that Saving & Quitting after a checkpoint, does NOT save your stats, so you will have to complete the mission from start to finish to save your stats. Dying also resets your stats, so it's recommended that you play on Recruit.
  • Headshot Kills - This is probably the easiest challenge as 100 headshot kills isn't a whole lot, and can be completed before the 5th mission. It's recommended that you always aim for the head to kill your enemies more efficiently.
  • Grenade Kills - This is probably the hardest challenge in the game as you'll need a total of 320 grenade kills to complete the final challenge. However, there are a farming methods:

In the second mission, "Atlas", you will come across a section where you have to complete a grenade training course. After you complete it, you can retry the course as many times as you wish. Start grenade training and spam the button (PS3), button (PS4) as you have unlimited ammo. Kill everything. Enemies, drones, and targets all count towards this challenge.

An alternative method, is in the 10th mission, "Bio Lab", you will reach a section towards the end of the chapter where you have to plant a charge. Ignore this task and kill the enemies with grenades. There is an ammo crate in the middle of the area right next to a van. Resupply your ammo to kill your enemies with grenades. The reason that this section is good to farm grenade kills is not only because you have unlimited ammo, but because the enemies constantly spawn. They spawn fairly quickly and you can easily get over 50 kills in this section. Grenade launcher kills, also count towards grenade kills, so use use it as much as you can. EMP grenade kills on drones also count towards this challenge. It's also highly recommended to play this on Recruit setting, as dying won't save your progress. You will also have to complete the level to save your progress, so don't Save & Quit after a checkpoint.
  • Intel - every mission has a total of 3 pieces of Intel, so you'll complete this during the final mission. For locations of all 45 pieces of Intel, refer to Ferrum Absconsum.

Once you upgrade your final upgrade, the trophy will unlock.

During the story mission, you can pause the game and look at the 4 scales of exo-tests.

  • Murders
  • Headshots
  • Kills with grenades
  • Number of intelligence collected. data(laptops)
The more actively you complete these challenges, the more points you are given, which you use to upgrade your suit.

The exo suit has 22 upgrades in total.

When you are closer to the end of the game, you will have already completed headshots and collected all the laptops, then select the Armada mission, you will immediately have a grenade launcher to kill with grenades and just complete the kills 2-3 times and all tasks will be completed

He created headshots and grenades in the training camp, where he threw headshots. Shine the sensor and shoot at the heads. And EMI grenades against drones also count as murder. Twenty minutes and all that remains is just murders (only 1600 of them are needed, but it should be enough for the company) and Intels, 45 of them.

In the eighth chapter there are endless enemies. When they ask you to push the container onto the plane, don’t push it.

There the enemies are endless and you can finish off headshots, kills and kills with grenades, for example.

It is not necessary to complete all tasks. I completed everything except the kills, I received the last EXO update when the kills were between 1250 and 1400. Also, for those who did not manage to finish the trophy during the game, after the credits in the main menu you can click “Continue” and the last mission will load with the saved progress and All that remains is to complete it the required number of times in order to achieve the required number of EXO points and receive the trophy.
