How to unlock the Zombie Fanatic achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Definitive Guide
Okay, before we get into what is required for this achievement, please take a moment to read through some tips and FYI's that I've listed down below:
1. The Shadowman is not required for this achievement.
2. All of the requirements, for any particular character, need to be unlocked in one game--not two or more.
3. The Blightfather only spawns in Graveyard and is a random in-game event that is on a fortnightly rollout.
4. Zombie spawn locations: https://imgur.com/gallery/3M6Ys4w
(Nuketown Island also spawns zombies as of 14/11/18)

Now, for the characters:
Dempsey
1. Find 'Juggernog Bottle'.
Inside Nuketown Bunker/Mystery Box/Blightfather Event.
2. Kill an enemy with any grenade. This includes: Frags and Cluster Grenades
3. Finish the match with Juggernog Bottle in Inventory (any rank).
Video Guide:
Nikolai
1. Find 'Russian Tanker Hat'.
Inside Graveyard there is a locked mausoleum, throw a cymbal monkey at the door to open it revealing the item. Can also be earn't during a Blightfather Event.
2. Place Top 3 in Squads, Top 5 in Duos, or Top 10 in Solos with Russian Tanker Hat in Inventory.
Video Guide:
Richtofen
1. Find 'Blood Vials'.
Have the 'Russian Tanker Hat' or 'Letter To The Emperor' in your Inventory and then interact with the Blood Fountain in Asylum and the item will turn into the Blood Vials. Can also be earn't during a Blightfather Event.
2. Place Top 2 in Squads, Top 3 in Duos, or Top 5 in Solos with Blood Vials in Inventory.
Video Guide:
Takeo

3. Place Top 4 in Squads, Top 8 in Duos, or Top 15 in Solos with Letter To The Emperor in Inventory.

Bruno
1. Find Mug Shot.
The mugshot is found in a supply drop or by killing and looting the Blightfather in the Graveyard.
2. Down an Enemy with a melee attack (not clean up).
I suggest the Brawler Perk, this will one hit melee kill someone even with armour. Otherwise, I recommend shooting someone once or twice when up close--and then melee them to finish 'em off.
3. Finish match with it in your inventory (any rank).
Video guide:
Diego
1. Find Pulp Magazine.
The item is found by killing and looting a zombie, or the Blightfather in the Graveyard.
2. Get 1 headshot.
3. Finish Match with it in your Inventory (any rank).
Video guide:
Scarlett
1. Find Racing Goggles & Scarf.
The item is found by killing and looting a zombie, or the Blightfather in the Graveyard.
2. Kill an enemy with a vehicle.
Must be a kill and not a down. Solo's works best for this in my experience.
3. Finish match with it in your inventory (any rank).
Video guide:
Shaw
1. Find Alchemal Set.
The item is found by killing and looting the Blightfather in the Graveyard, or from the Mystery Box.
2. Kill 2 enemies with either a Wraith Fire or Acid Bomb.
These items can be dropped by killing zombies. The items aren't so much unique, as they're just a re-skined molotov and cluster grenade.
3. Finish match with it in your inventory (any rank).

That is correct. On the official COD patch notes, it states that the "Origins crew is now available (PS4)". So no Xbox release yet... this is BS. Cant wait to uninstall this crap.

When are they going to add the blightfather event back? It would really help with getting bruno

*Special Thanks to MineTrapCraft for helping fix incorrect information on all my character solutions!
In order to unlock the zombie characters for Black-out you need to complete certain missions within a match. most of them include finding a "special" item. Below and the characters and the how to unlock them
you can hover over the item in your inventory and on the right you can see the challenges, with checkboxes. Once checked, you know you finished that challenge. Except for the 3 perk challenge for Prophet, that can un-check itself once a perk expires.
Shadow Man (DLC character) is NOT required for this trophy
Bruno
• Find Mug Shot
• Down/Kill an Enemy with Melee (Clean Ups do Not Count)
• Finish Game with "Mug Shot" in your Inventory
- "Mug Shot" Found in Supply Stashes, Supply Drops or Dropped by Blightfather in the Graveyard (Asylum)
- You Must Kill an Enemy and (Down & Finish), Clean Ups DO NOT Count
*Update by InfiniteUnrest*
Currently, the Mug Shot mission item for Bruno appears to only drop in the final supply drop for the map. It can also sometimes drop from Blightfather when that event is active.
Some recommendations:
1) Consider holding on to 1 or more concussion grenades to help get this trophy.
2) Also consider holding on to a Dead Silence perk when you try to get this trophy.
3) Use Brawler perk, or hold on to a combat knife as one of your weapons, so that you can one-hit kill your target.

Hi, I understood that I do not need the new ones but may the Richtofen from the blackmarket replace the first one ? Especially as I do not see 2 different richtofen in the character list.
By DJ_PLK_ on 23 Dec 2018 19:07
No, the Richtofen on the Black Market is Merely a Skin, You Still Need to Unlock the character, as far as i am aware
By N7_Maxxi on 23 Dec 2018 19:10
One of the two most annoying achievements for the completion, you must unlock all of the above characters, and some of them are tough. They all require you to obtain an item, some of which are rare spawns, complete a task then finish the match with the item still in your inventory.
Some of these are linked to the spawn of Zombies on the map. Zombies spawn in two random places at a time signified by a blue light in the following locations: Asylum, Graveyard SE of Asylum; Nuketown Island, Diner NE of Nuketown; Boxing Gym in between Turbine and Fracking Tower; Lighthouse and the Farm by Firing Range. You can land at one of those locations and hope zombies spawn there or head towards the light once it shows up. Zombies drop items upon dying, and has a chance to drop a character item. Once you kill all the zombies in a location, the mystery box will open which will contain a few items and possibly a character item. Once the box is emptied or is consumed by the storm, it will despawn and respawn somewhere else. Only one character item drops per round of zombies, and while this hasn’t been confirmed, it is likely that some of these items are on rotation (ie the likelihood of them dropping fluctuates), so if you’re having absolutely no luck even finding an item try again another day.
These characters are also boostable (to an extent). If you queue at the same time as somebody else in the same region, 8/10 times you'll find each other. From here you can look for the items together, get the specific kills on each other or help each other survive. I never got banned while doing this but I can not guarantee that you won't be.
As a final note, any alternate versions of these characters such as the IX variants are not required for this achievement, nor can they substitute them (for example, IX Shaw does not count for Shaw).
Below is a list of all characters, their requirements for unlocking them and tips where necessary. Any position finishes are listed as Solo/Duos/Quads. All items must be kept in your inventory until death/victory.
Bruno: Obtain the Mug Shot item out of a supply drop. Down a player with a melee attack, then finish them by any means. This can be tough in the regular modes, since only a few supply drops spawn per match and they draw a lot of attention and even if you do get it, it can be tough to down someone with a melee weapon. Your best bet would be to doorway camp as melee weapons are one shot downs, or you can boost it. If the Alcatraz map is available, it is much easier here as the item spawns in regular supply stashes. A lot of the prison is close quarters and you have people redeploying with just a pistol so it's easy to catch someone out.
Diego: Obtain the Pulp Magazine from a zombie. Down an enemy with a headshot, then finish them off by any means. Another one that’s easier with boosting.
Scarlett: Obtain the Racing Goggles and Scarf from a zombie. Down an enemy with a vehicle, then finish them off by any means. This one isn’t too bad once you get the item, drive around and you’re sure to find someone to run over. More experienced players will be good at dodging vehicles but you’re sure to catch someone out eventually, of course this could also be boosted.
Shaw: Obtain the Alchemist Set from a mystery box. Down two enemies with Acid Bombs or Wraith Fires, then finish them by any means. In my opinion, this is the hardest one to do without boosting, since they’re pretty hard to get kills with unless you catch someone unaware or stick them with an Acid Bomb, on top of this being a harder item to obtain in the first place. I strongly suggest boosting this with two other people.
Dempsey: Obtain the Juggernog Bottle from the mystery box or the Diner in the Nuketown Bunker. Down a player with a grenade (frag or cluster) then finish them off by any means. Since there is a regular spawn for this, you'll have more frequent chances to get this so you may not need to boost this one. However, this fact always makes it the quickest to boost so it’s up to you.
Takeo: Obtain the Letter to the Emperor by interacting with a typewriter in the Asylum office, the Boxing Gym office or the penultimate floor of the Lighthouse. Do not use any equipment after picking up the letter. Finish in the top 15/8/3. This is one of the easier characters to unlock and won't need to be boosted. If you’re not confident getting good placements yet, take your chances hiding until the required people are left.
Nikolai: Obtain the Russian Tanker Hat item by throwing a Monkey Bomb at the Mausoleum gate on the north side of the cemetery. Finish in the top 10/5/3. Another fairly simple one that can’t really be boosted. The Monkey can only be found in areas where zombies can spawn. Once you have it, it's just a matter of surviving.
Richtofen: Obtain the Blood Vial by sacrificing either Dempsey's, Takeo's or Nikolai's item while playing as their character in the Blood Fountain in the center of the Asylum. Finish in the top 5/3/2. Takeo is the easiest for this one, as you can just grab the letter from the Asylum office then go grab the vial. The placement requirement is the most difficult thus far but as you get better at the game, you'll get it eventually.

Bruno's photo on the alcotraz now drops from random zombies. Well, we need to look for supply boxes.

Most characters are much easier to knock out in the Alcatraz eclipse. The funny thing is that having picked up any item for a character, you don’t have to reach the end of the game with it. You can pick up an item, die and fulfill the required condition (for example, kill 2 of them with a shotgun) WITHOUT his presence. This bug still works, and most characters can be knocked out here. The main thing is not to throw this item away yourself, but just let someone kill you)

The photo portrait for Bruno is in the air drop, and only towards the end of the game. I may have fallen with zombies before, but not now.
