Right before the very first mission, you will be allowed to customize your initial loadout. There aren't many options to begin with, but you can change your primary weapon to an AK-47, and you will still be able to get the achievement. If you forget to do this for the first mission, don't worry as you will be allowed to customize your loadout at the start of every mission.

i restarted the blops 2 campaign as i finished it on vet because i was looking for mission select to go back and get all the achievements i forgot but now i cant find tht option?-do i haveto play through the whole campaign again?

In Campaign when it shows the mission you are about to do, press Y and it will give you the option to change your class in Campaign. After that finish the level and you get the achievement

Before starting a mission in campaign press triangle and change your loadout any way you desire. eg. Selecting a different gun, adding attachments to a gun etc.

Before starting a mission, you can press to customize your loadout. Do so and keep one customized weapon until the end of the mission. You can also pick up enemy weapons and finish the level with one of them to earn this trophy. You basically just need to finish the mission with anything in your inventory, other than the preset weapons.

You can do this on the first level. Before you start the level you are given the option to change your loadout by hitting . Just add select fire to the FAL as it is already unlocked and only changes your gameplay if you activate it.
