Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Short and Sweet Guide + a video.

1. Load up the shipwreck level and play on RECRUIT!
2. Order your squad to the current point you are going for so go from A to B to C.
3. Do them one at a time since 10 minutes is more than enough time to do this.
4. Try to avoid dying since these mission have no checkpoint system.

This mission is equal parts luck and strategy on Veteran. Your first impulse might be to try to secure each of the sites before moving on to the next. This is a mistake. The timer and small amount of friendly assets mean you have to move quickly on ALL three sites.

The trick here is to move from site A to B to C, dropping your devices as you go. Don't bother stopping to make sure they're successful or assigning any troops to defend the area. Just drop the device and move on to the next point. Your main hope here is that site B is successful above all else. If you're really lucky, you'll end up with site A as your final spot, but there are no guarantees with this level.

Positioning can go a long way here, though. For site A, I like to put the device right at the edge of the crate as you're entering the area. At site B, I put it at the rear of the truck. With site C, I place it on the right-hand side of the target, towards the water. There are no "perfect" areas here, but it does help to shield the devices from as many directions as possible. Once all three sites have been secured, you'll get a prompt to launch a missile at the ship. Just press X when directed and direct the shot at the highlighted area.

Again, this level relies heavily upon luck. I'd say if you're down to three minutes and don't have two sites already secured, you might as well restart. Just dashboard out and come back in so you won't lose any strike teams.

It will definitely take a lot of patience, but it IS doable!

Here is my guide from my channel, Toslow Gaming. Alright strike force team, listen up. Your goal is to destroy the SDC freighter and its cargo of hypersonic cruise missiles.

For those who are playing the campaign on Veteran and want to do this achievement along the way:
I had a lot of trouble using the recommended route A, B, C which is suggested in other guides. I used the video below (not mine) and got it in two tries. The key is to let your squad get trapped in the spawn point so it pulls the enemies forward and let’s you do your thing. The text overview is as follows.

C: Off spawn, change to your pistol (for speed) and sprint to C. Take out two of the soldiers on the crates above on the way and then aim forward. There will be a handful of soldiers to clean up (and a red barrel to help). Plant the EMP on the water side and head to the back crate where the claw is. There will be a claw trying to get through but he can’t so don’t worry. Hold here, shooting any drones and people until the timer on C expires.

A: Use tactical view to switch to a Solider near your original spawn (or die as your current person). Fight your way to A and plant the EMP. Use the plant site as cover and play conservative. Watch out for the drones flying around!

B: This is the tough one, but you should have around 3 or 4 minutes to work with. After finishing A, run through the warehouse North (away from your spawn) and start picking off people around B (particularly drones & people on top of crates). At this point, most of the enemies have grouped up towards your spawn side to spawn trap your pitiful other Soliders which leaves a gap on B on your side. Wait until a good opening and run toward the middle to plant on your side. Run back and watch over the EMP from the side away from your spawn. Play conservative because they are unlikely to disengage from your soldiers in the spawn to go after the EMP.
