How to unlock the Ultimate Sacrifice achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Definitive Guide

In the mission "Achilles Veil", when you meet up with Menendez after a shootout you'll have a choice to shoot either Harper or Menendez. You have to shoot Menendez for the achievement.

EDIT: To make it easier if you wait and do nothing for about 20 seconds Menendez will shoot you and the achievement will unlock. Shout out to RockstarELITEXX for the alternate solution.

actually to make it easier you dont even have to shoot any one and after twenty seconds menedez shoots you and pop goes the achievement good luck

I never got this because I hated Harper so much. Worst character in a CoD game. I shoot him every time. :P

Mission 8: Achilles' Veil

Soon after the 8th Mission "Achilles' Veil" starts, you will come to an interactive cutscene with Menendez and Harper. You will then have to decide which one to kill. Press to choose Menendez or wait for a few seconds and don't press any buttons. Either way, Menendez will shoot you in the head and the trophy will pop shortly after the cutscene is over.

In the Achilles chapter, when you are given a choice of who to kill, kill Menendez. But I recommend doing this after completing the story, replaying the chapter, otherwise you will not receive the Showdown / Confrontation trophy

In the mission for Farid (eighth in a row), when selecting the target Harper/Menendez, select Menendez.
