How to unlock the For real this time achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide
You'll get time bonuses for finishing each round as quickly as possible. Set the difficulty to Recruit beforehand.
Note that for "Personal Decorator", one of the medals requires you to complete all Campaign challenges, and one of those challenges is to pass all 16 rounds on Realistic difficulty, and there's another medal that requires you to get at least 35000 points.
Here's the loadout I used:
Primary:
Gorgon (LMG)
-BOA 3 Optics
-Extended Mag
-Grip
-Stock
-FMJ
-Rapid Fire
Secondary:
War Machine
Lethal:
C4
Tactical:
2 EMPs
Tac-Rig:
Repulsor Armor (VERY helpful)
Proximity Deterrent
Wildcards:
Primary Gunfighter I
Primary Gunfighter II
Primary Gunfighter III

Strategy:
Start the rounds as soon as you can every time to get a bigger time bonus.
Simply take down all enemies from where you started the round, and when you need to reload, use the supply box next to you, because it's faster.
When they're all done, rush to activate the next round and refill your ammo. When you get to round 8, you'll encounter a large robot, which you'll need to shoot quite a bit before firing rockets at it, and repeating until it's dead. In the later rounds, watch out for snipers that are on the highest level where the orb is, and take them out first.
The Tac-Rigs I used made it much easier, because there are so many rockets and grenades that will come your way, and it prevents any enemy from coming too close to you. Watch out for the buzzsaws though; they'll still cause you significant damage if they get too close.
And yeah, the Repulsor Armor Tac-Rig isn't perfect, but it helped me out a lot with RPGs, grenades, and the rockets fired by those AGR-type robots.
Simply enter the sim and create a beasting custom load out (you can pick from all guns and grenades). Make sure the difficulty is set to recruit to make this easy. Then just survive the 16 rounds.
You do need to be quick and finish rounds as fast as you can. If you don't you won't get enough points towards the gold.
I did the sim in 24 minutes and passed
My score using this method was 40581, you need 27500.
Followed this, except picked semi-auto sniper (Drogon + thermal) as secondary, trading accuracy for speed basically.
Got through easily in 18 min scoring over 40k.
I recomend you to use the difficulty level recruit, it make it easier, and be as must aggresive as you can in the first waves to get a higher mark.
The training simulator is the Combat Immersion available in the Safehouse, accessible through any of the 4 chairs surrounding a big screen. In order to achieve a gold rating, you must earn 25,000 points. This isn't a hard score to beat, as we've managed to get as high as 45,000. Your score is determined by your killing shot, so if you kill with a headshot you'll get the most points. You'll also get a points bonus at the end of every round based on how quickly you complete it, however you can still easily get a gold rating with absolutely zero speed bonuses, if you're efficient with your headshots. There are 16 rounds total, however you do not need to complete them all, if you meet the score requirement and die it will still count. That being said, it is recommended to try and get a score of 35,000 (which is still possible without speed bonuses), as this is a requirement for a decoration, which is needed for the Personal Decorator trophy.
A good loadout for this trophy is the Gorgon LMG and War Machine (use whichever attachments you prefer), with the Traversal Enhancement and Repulsor Armour in your Tac-Rig. Trip Mines and Shock Charges are also beneficial too, to stop enemies flanking you. You can make this easier on yourself by playing on Recruit difficulty, as difficulty doesn't affect your score. However, if you want the platinum you will at some point have to complete all 16 rounds of Combat Immersion on Realistic difficulty for Personal Decorator, which is easily the hardest part of the platinum.

I created this video to help:
Hope this helps.
He/She uses the Gorgon with a reflex scope, grip, FMJ, extended mag, rapid fire and fast mags. He/She also uses the War Machine for their secondary. For the lethal grenade slot they chose a trip mine and placed 2 EMP's in the tactical slot. For the TAC-RIG they placed repulsor armor and traversal enhancement. Last but not least, primary gunfighter 1-3 in the wildcard slots. Good luck you guys!
Gold requires 27,500 points.
Video guide on how to get to gold.
If you go for platinum, you will need to score 35,000 points. To receive the reward required by the “ Medalist - Earn all awards ” trophy.
When receiving the trophy, as well as 35,000 points for the medal, I advise you to use the Dingo machine gun. It is fast enough, with a capacious magazine and good damage. It helps a lot to deal with little things. I recommend placing Repulsive Armor in the TAK-KOM cells (helps you ignore missiles, they ricochet) and a Sensory Buffer. I used C4 as an explosive. Convenient, threw it where needed, blew it up when needed. I also recommend using the Superiority special card (the main weapon as a second one) and replacing the pistol with a machine gun. Of the kernels, I recommend using Improved Hacking and only hacking all AOPs. He hacked it, took out everyone around him, and destroyed it. Pass on Novobrite. With this tactic, I got 35577 points the first time.
