How to unlock the Keep Close achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide
One part always can be found in Mob of the dead or Origins (flag/steering wheel). I often find that part hanging on the wall in the cafetaria, next to Mule Kick.
-It can also be found in Origins close to the area where you can actually summon the keeper protector (opposite the mystery box and double tap).
- It can also spawn on top of the excavation site.
One part can always be found in Der Eisendrache or Kino Der Toten (pink crystal). I've found it:
- Laying against the pyramid
- On top of a table on your right hand side when you enter the room with the statues (also where the mystery box is at)
- On a table near the Gubblegum machine in Kino der Toten, and next to the jump pad which takes you to Verruckt.
One part can always be found in Verruckt (Skull). I've found it on a chair next to the jump pad when coming from Mob of the Dead.
- On top of the stairs on a wheelchair, in between the mystery box loaction and the corruptiopn engine.
- On a Shelf next to Speed Cola
Here's a video for that if you prefer so:
Next, you'll need to build the keeper protector. You can do so in Verruckt (upstairs), Origins (near the box) and in Kino Der Toten (on the stage). After doing so, you can summon the keeper protector for 5000 points in any of these 3 areas. The keeper protector will then follow you for a minute or so, killing zombies and other enemies on it's way.
Now in order to assist a keeper in killing every type of enemy, you'll need to damage an enemy, and then let the keeper finish him off. (E.g. hit a zombie with one bullet, and then wait until the keeper kills him).
When I went for this achievement, I did not activate the corruption engine in Verruckt yet, but I did do the other 3. A perkaholic gubblegum will definitely help. Otherwise, get yourself Juggernog, quick revive and Mule Kick. Mule kick is necessary as you'll be keeping your starting pistol. When I had collected the parts and had enough cash to summon the protector, I did so at Verruckt and then assisted the keeper protector in killing both Furies (Kind of look like dogs) and keepers. I did more then one of each just to be sure.
Keeper
Fury
Then I caught the beast in Nacht Der Untoten, which allowed me to go inside the beast. I did one more round and activated the Keeper again at the start of the round after that. I immediately ran for the beast. Now assist the keeper in killing a regular zombie, but more importantly, shoot a spider or a parasite which spawns inside the beast, once with your starting pistol, and then let the keeper finish him. Reason that you need your starting pistol is that shooting them with any other gun will instantly kill them. If you fail to kill those, try again some later round. Parasites can also spawn by shooting an eye from a margwa or by getting a "special round". This can also spawn keepers and furies.
Regular zombie
Parasite
Spider
Now, you''ll have just 2 enemies left. If you stay for long enough inside the beast a margwa will spawn. However, around round 12-13-14, a margwa will spawn as well. Just shoot one of the eyes from the margwas, and then keep running in circles, killing off regular zombies and letting the keeper finish off the margwa.
Margwa (either the purpe or the regular margwa)
Now the Panzer will spawn somewhere around round 17-18-19-20. When he does spawn, immediately head for a summoning spot for the keeper protector and call him in. Now shoot one or two magazines into the panzer, and then let the keeper finish him off.
Panzer
Now by the time I had killed the panzer, I did not assist the keeper in killing a spider yet, as I had killed 3 spiders with my starting pistol (probably due to having deadshot daiquiri), and the other spiders which spawned where killed by the keeper before I could damage them. Therefore, I think that there is a possibility that the spider is not required, but I'd assist the keeper in killing him just to be sure.
Let me know if, and so how I can improve this guide.
Regular zombie;
Parasyte;
Spider;
Margwa;
Panzer;
Keeper;
Fury.
that being true, you are missing the rotten zombie
how to build the keeper:
The enemies that need to die are
panzers: spawns round 18 and above
“furies”
which are the small creatures that crawl towards you
the red keepers
which start spawning consistently above round 15
spiders
which are always found in the apothican stomach
margwas
(you only need to make sure he kills any 1 type either purple or orange
the rotten variant of the zombie
which is always spawns in the apothican stomach which is accessible through the pack a punch step
and the parasyte
which are small flying red/orange creatures that spawn every 5 rounds
make sure you have some extra credit gobblegums to get some more points for the keeper between rounds or some reign drops since he is quite costly (5000) points per keeper.. he is infinite though so you can summon him as many times as possible as long as you have the points
the keeper helmet can also help as it gives you 30 extra seconds with the keeper
how to build the helmet:
This trophy can be a pain as you need to get lucky with enemy spawns. You need to spawn a Keeper from any Summoning Point (costs 5000 points per spawn), and it needs to kill 1 of every type of enemy. The trophy description is a bit misleading as you don’t actually have to shoot any of the enemies, the Keeper just has to be the one to kill them. Note that if you are playing co-op and multiple people contribute to calling it in, only the one that finishes the fund and summons the Keeper will get the kills counted.
To summon the Keeper, you first need to find parts scattered around the map, then build them at any Summoning Point.
Here are the part locations: (Note that there are 3 parts, and each has 3 spawn points)
-
- Verruckt – On a chair as soon as you land from the Mob jump pad.
- Verruckt – On a shelf near Speed Cola.
- Verruckt – Near the electric trap on a chair.
-
- Der Eisendrache – Near the Primis statues on the right.
- Der Eisendrache – On the side of the Anti-Gravity Pyramid.
- Kino – On a table near the jump pad to Verruckt.
-
- Origins – On a corner of the giant footprint.
- Origins – On top of the Dig Site on the left side.
- Mob of the Dead – Next to Mule Kick.
A lot of the enemies only tend to spawn inside the Apothicon beast, so you will need to stay in there most of the time to get the enemies you need.
Here are the enemy types you need:
- Regular Zombies
- Apothicon Stomach Zombies
- Parasites
- Spiders
- Enemy Keepers
- Furies
- Margwas
- Panzersoldats (called Mech Z in this map)
The spiders are the toughest ones to get as they only spawn inside the Apothicon and there is no set way to get them in when you need them. The Furies and Keepers can be killed easily during a special zombie round.
The best thing to do is save up your points and only spawn a Keeper during the special waves and whenever you see a Margwa/Panzer spawn in. The other kills come naturally, especially in higher rounds.
Note that sometimes the Keeper glitches in a good way where he won’t ever de-spawn. It is unknown what causes the glitch, but if you get fortunate enough to get it then you can just stay inside the Apothicon beast until the trophy pops.
Then he must kill 8 different types of enemies. (one call costs 5,000 credits, you can deposit the loot several times and at any point, in a co-op everyone contributes the loot to the common cash register)
1) Guardians (appears when the decay cannon is hacked and in later rounds)
2) Furies (like dogs - appear when hacking the decay cannon and in later rounds)
3) Margva (any orange or purple - you need one (appears somewhere on wave 11-12 and above)
4) Regular zombie
5) Rotten Zombie (spawn inside a worm)
6) Spiders (on some waves they appear only inside the worm)
7) Flying parasites (on some waves, and almost always inside the worm)
8) Panzersoldat (usually appears on waves 18/19/20 and 26/27/28)
