How to unlock the Overachiever achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide

Simply complete the following personal tasks in any order during a single game of Origins:

1. Headshot 115 normal zombies. By normal, any zombie that does not appear when a generator is being converted or compromised counts (specifically, glowing zombies don't count unless it is in the Crazy Place).
2. Capture 6 Generators. You don't have to do all 6 the first time through though it is recommended. For it to count, ensure you receive 100 points when the generator is captured.
3. Spend 30,000 points. If you're having trouble with this one, re pack a punching bullet based weapons helps.
4. Fill all 4 chests to capacity. This one counts for all players in a coop game. The chests are located near Gen 5, by the Excavation Site, near Gen 4, and by the Church. If a robot steps on the chest, it will close and reset any progress made. This particular task is required for the Little Lost Girl achievement.

Once the last task is completed, the achievement is yours. No need to grab the reward from any of the tasks although they can help in attaining the other tasks.

I did this twice and it’s not unlocking. Is this a know bug?

*UPDATE:
I went on to do the Small Consolation achievement on shangri-la after this wasn’t unlocking and it didn’t unlock either. At this point I was starting to get pissed off and so I restarted my console and upon restarting the game, both achievements popped. Not sure what the deal with that was

*Spend 30,000 points - Awards the player Double Tap Root Beer. Cannot be taken if the player already has Double Tap.
If you still need more points spent at the end of your run, just continiously re-PaP your weapon.

*Perform 115 Normal Zombie Headshots - Awards the player a Pack-a-Punched Galil, STG-44 or SCAR-H (Black Ops II).

*Capture 6 Generators - Awards the player a Max Ammo.

*Fill 4 chests to capacity - Awards the One Inch Punch, which is a strong melee attack.
The 4 chest locations are in the first right footstep of the middle robot (from the robot's perspective),
then the second left footstep of the same robot,
then in the third footstep of the middle robot once again
and the final chest is in the first footstep you'll encounter when entering the Church area, this footstep belongs to the Church robot.

You gotta be quick to fill the chests, if the robot steps on it while you're in progress, it resets that chest.

You fill the chests with zombie souls, so kill zombies around the chest.

You might get this trophy naturally while going for the Easter Egg of this map, as the EE requires 2 of the challenges to be completed.

There are 4 challenges to complete in Origins, and unlike the newer Black Ops III zombie maps, these challenges are the same every time you play the game. One small note though is that each player has their own set of challenges, and only 1 of them is shared between all players, so every player will need to do the other 3 themselves. You can tell if a challenge is done by pressing the touchpad and looking for an icon in the space provided. You can claim rewards from the box at the spawn or outside the Church in the back corner.

Here are the 4 challenges in no particular order:

  1. Activate all 6 generators.
To do this, you will need to spend some points (200 points times the number of total players) on each generator around the map to activate them. You will then have to survive for a few seconds while templar zombies swarm you. If you are standing on the pad when it finishes, it will count for you. But if you step off or get downed when the process finishes, it will not count for you.

If all generators are active and you missed one, fear not; Every few rounds later on will spawn some templar zombies that run to each generator to break them down. Let them break the one you need, then reactivate it to complete the challenge.

The generators are all in plain sight, but here are the locations of each generator (in order of number listing):
    1. Spawn room.
    2. Tank Station. Right outside the station. Accessed from the right side door in Spawn.
    3. Left exit from Spawn. Located right before the Bunker, near a mystery box location and Speed Cola.
    4. No Man’s Land. Near Juggernog on the left side of the area.
    5. No Man’s Land. Near Stamin-Up on the right side of the area.
    6. Church. Go through the upper floor of the Church and it’s hidden in the back corner of the map.

Finishing this challenge grants you a Max Ammo from the box.
  2. Get 115 headshots.
Self-explanatory. Make sure you use a bullet weapon and not the Ray Gun (I recommend the MP40). Once you get 115 headshots, you’ll get an icon on the HUD to show you did it.
Also note that zombies killed during the generator activations and zombies killed during Insta-Kill do not count for the challenge, despite the game increasing the total headshot number when doing so (Thanks Molasar for the info).

Finishing this challenge gets you a free PaP weapon from the box.
  3. Spend 30,000 points.
Self-explanatory. You might get this naturally by simply buying doors, perks, weapons, and generators.

If not, either waste your money on Gobblegums each round, or keep buying ammo for a PaP wall weapon (like the MP40 for instance), as ammo costs 4500 points. You’ll see an icon on your HUD once it’s done.

Completing this challenge gives you a free randomized perk from the box.
  4. Fill the 4 chests with zombie souls.
This is required for the EE, so you’ll get this one done naturally. It is also a co-op challenge, so everyone will complete it at the same time regardless of who does the work.

There are 4 chests in No Man’s Land, all of which are located in a footprint of the giant robots. You just need to kill about 20-30 zombies in each footprint and see their souls fly into the box. Once the chest is done, it will shut and souls will no longer fill the chest.

Repeat at all 4 and you’re done!

Note that if a giant robot steps on the chest while you’re working on it, it will reset the progress you made on it. So sometimes it’s best to wait until the robot passes before starting each chest.

    Here are their locations:
    • In the back corner footprint behind Juggernog.
    • Located in a footprint on the left as soon as you enter No Man’s Land, near the Excavation Site.
    • Located in the footprint next to Stamin-Up.
    • Located in the footprint just before entering the Church area.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Fist power, which is a 1-hit melee weapon until round 19.

Once you complete all 4 challenges, the trophy will pop.

You need:

1) Take 115 headshots
2) Capture 6 generators
3) Spend 30,000 points-money
4) Fill 4 chests with souls

1) There should be no questions regarding this test. Executed in progress. You can buy the Deadshot perk in the Wundersphere to aim at the head or take chewing gum for “All fired bullets fly to the head.” Can be combined with step 4. Statistics can be viewed on the touchpad, the last column is headshots. ATTENTION! I ran into a bug and took 135 headshots, but the test didn't count...

2) To activate the generator you need to spend points, but don’t worry, they are returned after the activation is completed. To complete this test, you need to be near the central mechanism so that you are nearby when activation is completed. If you fell or did not grab the generator, then you can go do other tests. From about the 10th wave the generators will be attacked and you can repel them and activate them again.

3) Just play and follow the rest of the steps. Buy perks, weapons, upgrades, etc. If anything, you can buy chewing gum (you don’t have to take it) until the chewing gum costs 8,000. But it’s better to get perks and spin the chest. Opening doors also counts.

4) There are 4 chests on the map. They are all on the robots' tracks. Where robots become. You will immediately see them when you run to the generators. Just stand in this area and kill everyone with any weapon. When the chest is full, it will disappear. Be careful! If you do not fill the chest, leave and a robot steps on it, it will be canceled and you will need to collect souls from this chest again.
