How to unlock the Personal Decorator achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide

If you're viewing this on the TrueAchievement app on your Xbox One, please view this solution on your computer! The rest of the solution doesn't show on the app.

This achievement has a bug that forbids you from unlocking it. Please be aware: if you get the bug--which at this point no one is quite sure about how you get it--you will not be able to unlock the achievement, ever.

Okay, before we get into what is required for this stupid achievement, there are a couple-of-ground rules and info; FAQ's and un-realistic/realistic expectations if you will:

1. If you cannot finish the 'training simulator' on 'realistic' first, then don't even bother going for this achievement.

2. The list is in order of appearance, not in-order of how you're going to get the decorations, however, I will give an idea of how you'll unlock them as you progress.

3. Be prepared to join some gaming sessions -- if you don't like people this achievement probably isn't for you.

4. This achievement will probably take you (depending on skill and luck) somewhere between 40-80 hours to complete.

5. Go and finish the game before reading this solution, please. I've kept it spoiler free, but you'll understand it better after the game is over.

6. This achievement can be glitchy.

7. Now, I'm only human, which means I'm sure there's a bucket-ton of spelling and grammar mistakes that I didn't notice amongst all this writing, and I'm sorry.

8. Please send me a Private Message with any questions, info, details and problems instead of spamming them in the comments section, thanks (make sure to click the drop-down menu underneath my Gamerpic): left 4 zaneage

9. Finally, a special thanks to everyone that made this solution possible: OdinElite, Whaticles, Tweaky666, SwelterinBeaver, Gavitize, EaseAndInspire, Spiderrichard, xx Kenshira xx, FEAR LEGEND81, A Devient Hero, KillerZ x Ace, WACKY WOOKlEE, Lucas Jai, Sighris, DinDono and everyone that commented!

You will earn (well, at least should be earning) these decorations in-order as follows ("1." being the first decoration, and "12." being the last (the last 3 decorations all unlock at once)):

1. Chronicler
2. Legendary Service
3. Heroic Service
4. Tried and True
5. Dedicated to Excellence
6. Armament Superiority
7. Grim Reaper
8. Immortal Fame
9. Above and Beyond
10. Master of Arms
11. Duty Calls
12. Full Honors

Anyway, lets begin:

Okay, so this achievement is a big one, and is going to take you a while -- so, prepare for tediousness. To start off, this achievement is very similar to Black ops 2's 'Giant Accomplishment' achievement, in which you were required to do challenges throughout the campaign, Black ops 3 however has upped the ante.

Here are the requirements for this achievement (PS if you want to check the status of the achievement, go to your room in the mission briefing area (the area where you can edit your weapons, play training, upgrade Cyber Cores, etc), go into your room and you'll see an empty cabinet (unless you unlocked one of the medals already) and click cn_X, you will see these requirements):

If at any point you want to check how many kills/collectibles/mission scores/accolades without having to go into a campaign game press cn_start from the main menu of multiplayer/campaign/zombies, then cn_RB twice so that you get to Barracks, press campaign, press weapons/collectibles/mission scores/accolades for any information on what you've missed or what you need to get done throughout the campaign.

Master of Arms: Earn all Campaign Weapons, Attachments, and Camos.

Earn is the key word here. Unlock all the weapons and unlock all the attachments/camos associated with that weapon. So for example on the Kuda you'll need to get to the max rank to get all attachments and 650 kills for all camos. For the rest of the weapons you'll need to rank up throughout the campaign. The last weapon you unlock is at level 20. In total you'll need a whopping 17,750+ kills for all the camos on all the weapons. Secondary weapons count! The weapon level will come to you naturally as you go for the camo's.

Below I will list 3 places where farming kills is most effective:

"3." is without-a-doubt the fastest method on the internet: you can get 3 guns finished in an hour. Please use this method over all the others -- the other methods are there in-case you get bored.

1. In the mission 'Rise and Fall',
If you need ammo there's an ammo cache right next to the door you walked out of at the start of this section in the mission.

2. In the final mission, 'Life' you'll come to a section where there's a lot of enemies, after dropping down from a crashed aeroplane head left (make sure to avoid all enemies until you get to a room with an ammo box), the room is located in the middle of the area on the left, walk in through the door and they'll be another door in front of you. now enemies will be dropping down from above so just slightly peak out and shoot them as they drop. This should net you a fair amount of kills while still being safe, if you need to change classes at any point run back to the area where you dropped down from and change classes there.

3. In the same area as previously mentioned kill the big mech thingy (forgot what it's called) at the start of the area (from where you dropped down earlier). As soon as it dies you'll get a checkpoint, from there run all the way to the left (as far as you can go), and you'll reach a little room with two entrances, the robots will be coming out of the two spawn stations in front of you. This method is extremely fast, however it is very risky. Do it at your own risk, beware of the talons that fly in from time-to-time. Special thanks to OdinElite for pointing this out in the comments.

If you die you will lose all progress since the last checkpoint!

Special thanks to Whaticles for pointing this out in the comments: "Saving and quitting saves progess. If you die, you can even press start quickly and save and quit to save any progress"

Special thanks to Tweaky666 who reports that, the Annihilator Pistol and the War Machine are required for the decoration. If you're unsure about how many kills you have -- go to the 'Barracks' (refer to above).

Special thanks to SwelterinBeaver for pointing out that if you wanted to knockout 2 birds with one stone, you can: "Wanted to point out two things that may help with the kills for the camo, if someone uses the overkill (think it is called that) wildcard available at level 20 you can work on two primary weapons instead of a secondary weapon. (Could be worth adding how to select this as it took me a while to find it, go to the armory select which the five set ups you want to change, move down past the tactical and lethal grenades and select the wildcard)"

I highly recommend doing 'Duty Calls' and 'Master of Arms' simultaneously.

I'd finish 2-4 guns (roughly 1500 kills) before saving and quitting, just to be safe.

For anyone encountering glitches with this decoration:

Special thanks to Gavitize for pointing this out for anyone that doesn't have this decoration: "I finally got it :) lets go, If you do not have the camo accolade, start up a combat immersion and get a kill with the Annihilator and then kill yourself. Then restart your console and then load the game back up. Once loaded enter a safe house and it should work."

Dedicated to Excellence: Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores.

For this you'll need to upgrade each Cyber Core twice at the Cyber Core table. You'll need a total of 42 fabrication points, which can be earned through playing the campaign, unlocking accolades and unlocking camos. The three classes you'll need to max out are: Control, Martial, and Chaos with 14 points in each. You'll know they've been fully upgraded when there's two yellow arrows pointing up on each of the Cyber Core's.

Armament Superiority: Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.

Do the same thing you did in Dedicated to Excellence for this one. You will need 38 fabrication points to unlock everything. The last weapon you unlock will be the 'Gorgan' at level 20 (Max level).

Unlock all the weapons first, then lethals and tacticals', and then finally the CyberCombat Abilities.

Heroic Service: Complete the Campaign on the Veteran difficulty setting.

Just finish the game on Veteran, simple. Recommend doing this with a group of 4 people to make it easier.

Is stackable with Legendary Service and Immortal Fame.

Read Legendary Service and Immortal Fame for some tips and tricks.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Legendary Service: Complete the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty setting.

Take it slow, very slow; make sure you kill all the enemies in the area before advancing throughout the whole game -- this doesn't work in some areas, however.

Everyone should equip 'Emergency Reserve'.

Have a player at the back reviving players, don't run off, always stick together, equip 'Emergency Reserve' in the create-a-class menu, it is possible to do this solo but I strongly encourage you to team up with 3 other players.

There will be sections of the game where it seems impossible, e.g. the end of

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Immortal Fame Complete every mission in the game at least once on Veteran difficulty without restarting from a checkpoint.

I've (with the help of others) included two methods to tackling this decoration: one being a solo method and the other being a co-op method, obviously I recommend co-op, but the solo one is there if you need it.

Solo Method:

Recommend following the tips in 'Legendary Service' to make things a little easier.

Special thanks to EaseAndInspire for this helpful tip for solo players: if you save and quit the moment you die, you can resume game from the main menu and it still counts as never using a checkpoint. Now of course this only works if youre playing on your main playthroughs and getting the "progress has been saved" at the top of the screen when you hit a checkpoint. And also the emergency reserve thing works wonders too, as you get a new one every time you reach a select Loadout box during the mission. Anyways just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who might be having trouble.

Co-op Method:

Do it with 4 players and in the event that you all die, restart the mission. Recommend following the tips in 'Legendary Service' to make things a little easier.

Be prepared for un-expecting glitches that randomly pop-up and stop you from continuing through the level, or evening finishing.

Its been reported by users in the comments that this decoration hasn't unlocked for them. The general consensus has come to the conclusion that:

1. The host got the achievement, and the other 3 players in the party have not got it (some users have reported 2 out of 4 players getting it). If you were one of the people that did not receive the achievement, replay the first mission and/or replay any mission you think might not have counted.

2. If you lag/disconnect from a game at any point during your run-through this decoration then restart the mission from the main menu.

3. If you all die during a mission it's best to restart from the main menu.

If none of these are helpful unfortunately you'll have to wait until the latest patch for a fix.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Above and Beyond: Complete all Accolades for all Missions.

At your home base/mission debriefing place, go to the 'Mission Record Vault' (always located right next to the door before a mission) and press cn_RB so that you go to 'Accolades'. Here you'll see all the upcoming accolades for the upcoming mission. I suggest you do most of these on the easiest difficulty. For the points, difficulty doesn't matter, just aim for the head often and play on solo and you should get it every mission.

All credit goes to Christopher Buffa at PrimaGames.com for the text guides, and all credit goes to NonStopTrophies for the video guides and all credit goes to Spiderrichard for the video with speech guides.

Special thanks to xx Kenshira xx for pointing out the Prima Guide and FEAR LEGEND81 for pointing out the video guides in the comments.

All the guides together:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO51oYEMWYBcky6quDFJS... (Video Guide with speech)

The three different guides I listed above all serve a different purpose and cater to different peoples needs, preferences, and helps them better understand the accolades at hand. It is highly recommended that you watch both Youtube guides before the mission to get a good idea of how to get the accolades.

Its also with mentioning: read most, if not all the comments in the comment section of the vides -- there's some incredibly useful alternatives to some of the ones' shown in the videos.

If you miss any accolades, don't worry, this can be done on as many playthrough's as you like.

This decoration is one of the longest ones -- I suggest mixing up with 'Master of Arms' (read above).

Special thanks to A Devient Hero for an incorrect link!

Duty Calls: Complete all Campaign Challenges.

From the multiplayer/campaign/zombies main menu's press cn_start, than cn_RB once, then click on campaign to see three different categories: Missions, Tools of the Trade and Career.

Missions:

Very simple, just finish every mission in the game on either Hardened, Veteran or Realistic. This will come either naturally or when you're going for Immortal Fame

Tools of the Trade:

All credit goes to KillerZ x Ace who has made an extensive guide on this section of the challenge:
Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III

My only recommendation is to do some of these challenges while doing 'Master of Arms'

Career:

Basically the section where you are required to complete an X amount of things in order for completion: accolades, decorations, fabrication kits, etc.

Don't worry! One of the challenges requires you to get an X amount of decorations in order for it to unlock, it skips one when (whatever your second or third last decoration is) unlocked and just unlocks all of them at once.

Now, the training simulator…:

There's a lot of ways of tackling this challenge, but this should be the first thing you get out-of the way:

Special thanks to WACKY WOOKlEE for pointing out this guide in the comments. All the credit goes to BeatminazYT for the video and the setup:

Setup:
Primary: Gorgon with 6 attachments - Reflex, Grip, Quickdraw, Stock, Extended Mag, FMJ
Secondary: War Machine
Lethal: Semtex
Tactical: Shock Charge
Tac-Rig: Traversal Enchancement & Repulsor Armor

Video:

Special thanks to Lucas Jai for this helpful guide he posted in the comments: "Combat Simulator on Realistic (Invincible method) - You need a friend, or a second controller, I'll speak from a second controller POV, but just sub a friend in instead if it applies.
Go into the campaign menu (not in a safehouse) and load in your second controller for co-op play. Choose to "Select Mission' and select 'In Darkness', you should now be in the "reply mission" menu, just hit to begin. You'll go through the cutscene and end up in the safehouse for that story-arc. Now, bring both controllers over to the combat simulator and set it to Realistic difficulty, YOU sit first, on whatever chair and have your dummy sit, (AFTER YOU'RE SEATED AND IN THE MENU TO CUSTOMIZE LOADOUT/BEGIN) on the same chair. You'll see a weird animation glitch (not super noticeable) where you'll see the inside of their head/eyebrows. Now, click start on both controllers at THE SAME TIME, if done correctly you'll get a white-screen for several seconds and when the game loads the person who sat first will now be invincible. How do you tell? If you can't see your ammo/open your core powers. You'll still be able to activate the rounds, so just go through killing your way to the achievement, remember to pick up a rocket from the ammo-crates if you forgot to bring your own. Now, what about your dummy? Personally, I had some problems with the challenge unlocking with the dummy there, so, I jumped the dummy off the cliff at the beginning and just had him sit in the 'you failed' screen without exiting the combat simulator till I finished. I don't know if they can actually fully leave or not, but, why risk it.

Note: Sometimes for whatever reason I was unable to start the first wave with the invincible controller, so keep your dummy alive to start the first wave, and then you're fine.

Note: Another plus to kill your friend/dummy is that, it's not MEANT to have two people in there, so the game puts TWO objective spheres, and both CAN be activated for double the wave, it gets frustrating/confusing, so it's easier to just kill the dummy off to let you focus and guarentee you're waves finishing and not theirs."

Here's a glitch method posted by Sighris -- all credit goes to him: Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Here's another legit method posted by Purple DinDono -- all credit goes to him for this solution: Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III

If none of this is helpful, read the comments for this solution; some users have posted some good and helpful tips for anyone struggling.

Special thanks to user xx Kenshira xx for pointing out that: Challenges are not accolades (stupid me).

Tried and True: Earn a score of 35,000 in the Training Simulator.

Again, all credit goes to PowerPyx for this guide:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Grim Reaper: Neutralize 2000 hostiles.

This will come naturally if you're going for the achievement, however if you wanna farm kills read the 'Master of Arms' section above.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Full Honors: Earn all Campaign Decorations.

After you've earned all of the above decorations you'll receive your well deserved achievement, congratulations, I applaud you for getting this ridiculous achievement.

This'll be you when it unlocks: http://giphy.com/gifs/UkhHIZ37IDRGo/html5

Anyway, thanks for reading. If you have any comments just post in the comments or send me a PM. Happy Hunting everyone!

I hope someone finds a cheese for the training simulator on realistic, i didn't think it was too bad till i saw that was one of the required challenges for a decoration. I don't think something this grindy/difficult is a wise way to spend my time especially with other great games so close.

^This

I have no idea how the hell someone is supposed to dodge every bullet on realistic difficulty in the training simulator.
It's fucking outrageous to say the least!
I hope in the near future they come out with an update to let you play with a buddy in the simulator. I'm sure that'll be doable. I managed to get to round 12 on realistic before I got double teamed by 2 heavy armoured guys with machine guns... I nearly broke my xbox over that bullshit!

For me, if I cannot do the training simulator on Realistic, then there is no point going for accolades or Immortal fame. I have done campaign on Realistic, but having to survive 16 waves on the training simulator on realistic difficulty seems a bit too brutal to do solo.

Immortal flame is not a problem, you can do it in coop. The training sim is the biggest issue of all. 16 waves on realistic is just retarded. That's an impossible task, even in coop.

I managed to get to round 16 but then i made a stupid move and died. Only the ASP was still there and they are easy if there are no other enemies around. My biggest problem are those Talon drones. But i think i can manage it again and then i will be more carefully with my next move.

I've hidden in the same corner, got to round 9 and died from a talon, as they can still get you there. Still that is the best place to go. My other advice is to wait until you are level 20, so you can swap between cybercore trees, while in the training simulator.

Another great place for kills is on life in the open area where you fight the asps before going into the building. In the back left there is a room with two machines that spawn robots as the other one is killed. Try it out. Probably the fastest way in my opinion.

Make sure to really abuse the active camo core ability. I always hide while the camo is recharging, then attack enemies while under camo to ensure they cannot target me. This method takes a while longer, but also avoids unnecessary risk (I always get shot right away when I peek my head out from cover when I don't use camo by the ASP or PAWWS so this method simply made the most sense to me). That being said...I keep dying on Round 16 due to my own doing (I usually will panic when facing multiple PAWWS and accidentally kill myself from the War-machine...happened too many times for me to admit).

My Gorgon LMG is maxed out from playing the simulator and dying in that, so it keeps your kills in simulator, maybe at the end of a wave?
If that's the case, then combat simulator would be best place as you can choose whatever you want and put it on recruit difficulty.

What? The combat simulator would take way too long to grind out kills on lol. Not sure why anybody would even consider that. Rise & fall despite the time it takes to get there.

https://youtu.be/Ff42RFMQxJo For those who are having issue with the mortar tanks. Stay away from walls and don't move. I've killed myself with a deflected blast a billion times until I thought to watch how it deflects.

In the clip I try to stay near the edge so they deflect where they can't explode on me while making sure I'm not visible to enemies the other "tower".

One last tip. The mortar tanks will fire missiles up that will chase you and then fire ahead usually hitting a wall and then fire up again. Remember this pattern, use camo wisely, don't go camo'd and run out when it just fired ahead, you might catch an unexpected missle from above ruining your run.

Is anyone else having problems making some decorations appear on your service records. I just completed veteran without dying and complete all accolades and neither of them are appearing on my wall but all my other decorations are still there all I'm missing is challenges, accolades, veteran without dying, and unlock all camo for all guns. Here's a pic of what I see sorry for poor quality https://gyazo.com/3f0f738d39e672b680d7643625d1f707

Just wanted to clarify some things with the glitch I posted earlier. I did make one mistake in saying that person 2 can start the combat simulation on any difficulty. You must do the first round on realistic and make sure the person joining your game is on realistic as well, otherwise, even if you are in the same game and do switch it to realistic, it will not count because the game was started in another difficulty.

As well, this glitch does not work every time, even if you do everything perfectly it is actually likely to fail a number of times before it does work. From my findings it only seems to work about 10% of the time, you'll know it's not working if it doesn't let you sit in the same chair as the other player. If this is the case just keep re doing the glitch until it does work. Hope this helps and good luck!

1. I wanted to say thank you for this very comprehensive guide.

2. I wanted to ask a couple questions.
First, when farming kills for weapon camos, do you have to reach a checkpoint to save the data or can you not just save and exit? I understand dying obviously resets your kills but I am not saying that. I mean just going to the start menu, hitting quit, and then save and exit.
Second, is there a box to change weapons that I am not seeing in the 'Rise and Fall' level? You say the drawbacks to method 1 and 2 are that you can only do 1 weapon. But I just cant find the box to change guns on Rise and Fall.
Third, has anyone discovered what the green box next to levels when you go to select levels means? It is only by level 1 for me, whereas all other levels have the gray X in the box. Does it mean anything?

Thanks!

1) No idea. I'm assuming that if you "save" and exit that it saves your progress...
2) There is no mobile armory on "Rise & Fall" to change guns. This is usually a preferable level due to the capability of funneling enemies through the right-side door on the far side of the map in the beginning (before completing the first checkpoint).
3) No idea. Cannot confirm anything since I have completed all missions on realistic and have all collectibles.

The green boxes on the left side of the missions listed have to do with campaign progression. If you "resume" the campaign, you will get a green box next to each level completed in order from resuming. You will get an "x" next to each mission that was completed out of order, or from not "resuming" campaign from the tittle screen.

I think they might have written the challenges incorrectly..
One of the challenges is complete all decorations..
One of the decorations is complete all challenges..
Once completed all decorations besides those 2 you will sit at 10/11 decorations completed.. Meaning you can not complete all challenges which will give you all of the decorations...

I only have camos left now an says 9/11 decorations left for the challenge.. Once that's done it will be 10/11.. Don't think it will unlock though as it seems to be a stalemate.. Let me know if anyone else has noticed this???
Looks like Gavitize is in the same boat but I have no spoken with him yet to confirm this..

You can go down but you cannot resort a checkpoint. Which means if you have emergency revive and go down the first time it's ok but you go downed a second time or go downed without emergency revive then you have to restart the mission.

Another good place to grind kills if you get bored with the other methods is on the level "Demon Within". Once you get to the section with the wolves, don't move up. Kill the ones in your way first and the ones that run after you. Don't move too far ahead or they will stop spawning infinitely. (I didn't walk any further than where the 2nd pack spawns) If you look left, you will notice a wolf (Sometimes two) running to the left on an upper ledge. Quickly kill the wolf and look left, then once you look right, the wolf/s will be there again. So kill, look left then right again, kill, repeat. There's ammo to your left once you run out.

@xQuesoo - If someone goes down, revive them before they bleed out. You can go down, you just can't die completely. This includes friendly fire, falling off the map, ect. Basically anything that reverts you back to your last checkpoint. If someone else dies, you need to restart by quitting out to the menu and starting the level from there. If someone lags out or leaves, if they come back and help finish the level, they won't get credit for no deaths.

There's a decoration for completing all challenges and a Challenge for completing all decorations. Don't worry about it, as you can tell, people have the achievement. Complete all other challenges and you will get the challenge related decoration last after doing all the other requirements first.

All of this should be mentioned in the solution somewhere. Like I said before, don't worry. Finish up your camos and you will unlock your 10th decoration, it will unlock the challenge for 11 and complete the decoration for completing all challenges at the same time. The War Machine and Annihilator don't have camos or attachments but you still need the kills for those weapons.

For the glitch where you get stuck at 1 accolade left, you might need to finish the mission when you get the last accolade. I did that and completed the challenged. Don't quote me on it though, I might have gotten it for another reason, or may have just gotten lucky.

I unlocked the Stun and Gun accolade thanks to this post:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/call-of-duty-black-...

I loaded up the game in split screen with a second profile as controller 1. I loaded up mission 10 and went through to the area for the accolade and it popped first try. This was after numerous tries for over an hour without it unlocking. I'd imagine that you could get it in a friend's game as well as long as they don't have the accolade if you don't have two controllers.

the achievement is glitch or not? it is therefore possible to unlock it today?

if glitch where the error?

I noticed something unusual. challenges in the campaign to get me all decorations are 9/11 medals.

I have yet to complete master of arms: 650 kills with a weapon ext

Duty Calls: complete all the challenges, that I personally remain only to have all the decorations are 9/11

Full Honors: this is to get all the decorations.

let's pretend who has obtained master of arms, I would get 10/11 decorations.
but how do have complete it requires all the decorations and the maximum possible is 10?

descriptions are inconsistent. I hope I was clearly and that you have followed my thought

thank you

Hey guys, I found out that if you die, and restart at a checkpoint, the kills you have for the guns will stay even if you disconnect from the servers. If anyone is having server issues, like I was, this is great to use. In Rise and Fall you get a check point after destroying each little section where you have the spike launcher. So you can get a ton of kills, plant a spike, detonate, wait maybe 5 seconds, than kill yourself. This is useful only incases of server disconnects.

Sorry for this rather stupid question, but I am trying to do Immortal Fame on solo, and I am just wondering if Immortal Fame has anything to do with the "Untouched" accolade? I keep assuming that getting the "Untouched" accolade would be the same thing as getting progression towards the Immortal Fame medal. Could someone please confirm if the "Untouched" accolade has anything to do with Immortal Fame?
0
0
By edwiitos on 15 Jan 2016 03:14
To answer your question edwittos, it has nothing to do with the medal unless you are completing a mission on veteran then it would. You'll earn the accolade "Untouched" as you aren't dying in the mission at all and like you said you're going for "Immortal Fame" which is to not die in a mission.

Is there anyway to tell if a mission counted towards the immortal flame challenge? In attempting to do it solo and I know there have been occasions so far where I have revived myself using emergency reserve and continued. I don't want to get through the whole game and find out it doesn't count haha

There is no way to tell what missions you've done, so I'd recommend writing down the missions you done without restarting from a checkpoint. If you et downed and revived by the emergency reserve then it will still count as long as you don't die.

@Marty Thanks for the reply and I'm glad that's the case. Would rather two quite difficult runs than one run which adds the stipulation of sitting in a bunch of loading screens.

I just collected the last accolade on Sand Castle (completed all accolades on all previous missions too), and Above and Beyond unlocked?! 158/176, 2 missions left... This either means I'm really lucky, or this will end up screwing me over somehow. Glitchy game!

Nevermind, only the decoration unlocked and not both the decoration and the challenge. I had to get all the accolades for the challenge to unlock. So if this happends to you too, make sure you unlock all accolades anyway...

Just got this achievement, finally...
In my opinion the two hardest things were the "No Survivors" accolade and completing the combat simulator on Realistic, luckily I discovered they're actually ridiculously easy.

No Survivors - You need to kill one guy. One. That's it, one. One. Upon exiting the lift, make sure you have the "Enhanced over-drive" core-power (martial-arts) equipped and run past everyone (obviously put this on Recruit), run until you are about the turn the corner that has the ammo-crate in the opened doorway, turn on over-drive. Hard left, through the open door, this door won't stay open long. Now, rapid-strike anyone ahead of you for an extra boost, and sprint forwards, through the room. You'll see the door that you normally help Hendricks force open, open. There is a single guy standing in the doorway, kill him (I used a Man-o-War with quickdraw just in case). Bam, done. Only guy.

Combat Simulator on Realistic (Invincible method) - You need a friend, or a second controller, I'll speak from a second controller POV, but just sub a friend in instead if it applies.

Note: Another plus to kill your friend/dummy is that, it's not MEANT to have two people in there, so the game puts TWO objective spheres, and both CAN be activated for double the wave, it gets frustrating/confusing, so it's easier to just kill the dummy off to let you focus and guarentee you're waves finishing and not theirs.

Hope this helps, certainly takes the pressure off two harder parts.

I think the new update has messed things up a lot. My game has been crashing constantly on campaign on all different levels at different points. Only thing that seems to help is not skipping cutscenes. Second mission used to crash anyway and the fix was not skipping cutscenes so try that.

By xQuesoo on 24 Apr 2016 21:11
I've tried not skipping the cutscenes, yet, it still crashed, at random times also! Do you think if I did it on multiplayer instead of solo, it might not crash? I'll be really pissed off if I do all the mission without restarting from a checkpoint apart from this particular one.

Just tried it with a friend, each of us took it in turns to host... and we both froze. As of now, I have no idea how I can get this achievement when this is the only mission I'm having troubles with...

By UtdRhys on 25 Apr 2016 16:36
The only way I know of to lessen the chance of crashing is not skipping cutscenes. Like I said though, the new update (came out in the last 5 days or so I think) I believe has messed the game up a bit. There's a specific error which is ruining zombies (triggerstring something or other), my campaign has kept crashing on various levels at various points since the update and multiplayer games have been kicking people off the game due to crashes. I have however completed the second mission since the update but it took a few times due to crashes.

Only thing I can suggest is to try and complete it without skipping cutscenes and also going as quick as you can so there's less chance of a crash. Hopefully another update will be out soon fixing these things.

Just a question. Has the patch stopped the "Saving and qutting" exploit for the Veteren run through? Only asking as in 2 of the 8 missions I have done so far I used it and I never got given the accolade at the end. Ofc I will carry on until the end and will know,

Also I have no clue on these "glitches" for the combat simulator. I havent actually tried it since I reset my WHOLE CAMPAIGN accidentally, was nearly the way through on Realistic and will have to do that again after I do the solo veteren run thought.

Combat Simulator glitch still works.

Run through on Veteren without dying done. Dont worry if you are not getting the untouched accolade using the save and quit method, you still unlock it at the end.

If anyone wants to go through on realistic hit me up. I know there will be bitch points on solo.

Just throwing it out there since there was no mention of it. This method is easily the safest and most efficient way to get kills for master of arms. You are basically invincible and the enemies walk up to your face and stand there. Ive used this method for the medals and am almost complete in about 7 or 8 hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzSsL8cRvMU

Basically, I have everything unlock but the last 2 medals wont unlock for some strange reason, do I have to restart it all ? No need to say that I wont do it again, ever. I also have pictures that can prove it.

I have completed the entire campaign. I have 10/12 accolades.
The two I'm missing are 9 and 12, Duty Calls and Full honors. For Duty Calls I have all of the medals except for Decorated, which is stuck at 10/11.
I have reset the game, gone into the safehouse several times, run through combat training, and did a level, and nothing has fixed it.
Any help is appreciated. I have done too much to be stopped now

I recently completed this after slowly slogging through it on and off and have some thoughts tips.

The "Life" mission with the robots is the easiest way to finish camo challenges as it is consistent and fairly safe.

The way I beat Realistic and Veteran (Immortal Fame) is basically the same except obviously you have to quickly save or restart if you die for Immortal Fame.

Loadout:
Primary: Drakon with Thermal (a must) and extended mag/quick mag
Secondary: War Machine usually but Haymaker with extended mag for the zombies/wolves in "Demon Within" makes it significantly easier and safer
Lethal: Frag or Semtex
Tactical: EMP as backup for rogue robots
Tac-Rig I: Emergency Reserve is a must - unless you are a masochist this will save you so many times and you can "reload" it at every mobile armory you find
Tac-Rig II: Repulsor is excellent for quality of life as many deaths come from errant grenades or rockets if you don't equip it.

As in the solution - Richard Rowley's guide is pretty good for the most part although I would suggest running through the campaign/accolades first on Recruit to get a feel for spawns and the sections with infinite spawns.

Pretty much the only cyber core abilities you need are:

Control: Mass Shortout/Mass Paralysis and Remote Hijack all for robots
Chaos: Fireflies (humans) and Adaptive Immolation (robots)
Martial: Active Camo especially for infinite spawn sections

Fireflies is the real MVP - any area with human enemies you should be constantly dropping it since it will seek out and kill or distract enemies that you may not see.

Go slow, learn the levels/spawns and trigger points for checkpoints and where the various mobile armorys are.

This might go against some the advice here but I found this significantly easier solo. With co-op you spend a lot of time reviving each other and trying to coordinate. Plus some people have reported not having it unlock properly when doing campaign co-op.

Frankly I just made myself sit down and get through a level or two a day and it wasn't bad at all. I spent more time on the camo and accolades when all was said and done. I am by no means an expert CoD player so it is totally doable with practice and patience.

There is a cheat code for fabrication kits
Guide
I can attest it does not prevent you from getting achievements.

@Kingslayer. No, I would not recommend the no checkpoint and one-hit-kill runs at the same time. You will definitely die at least once during defend sequences. Separately each achievement is quite easy. Takes probably 8h for each run.

Okay coming back around to this
For anyone interested, I can confirm that if you quit out of a level you have already completed, after getting an accolade, it will show as completed on the Mission screen and also on the counter for getting all of the Accolades.
However, unless you finish the level again, you will not see it on the final unlock screen after you beat a level, even if you do another level. I just tested that today.
I do not know if this affects Personal Decorator! All I do know is that I'm sure I did that the first time around and I did not unlock it, but I would imagine that plenty of people have done that and it still unlocked.
Just a warning to all of you! :)

Just a nice tip for the following Accolade in the mission Rise & Fall.
Epic R.A.P.S. Battle:
Hijack a R.A.P.S, run over 2 enemies, and then run into another R.A.P.S.
SparrowTheKing said:
An Epic RAPS Battle tip: I got it 3rd time doing this.
Hijack a RAPS and kill 2 friendlies, then procede to kill the enemy RAPS.
Killing 2 friendlies also counts and avoids u exposing yourself to getting damaged and eventually, destroyed. But be carefull, if u kill 3 friendlies the game tells you "friendly fire will not be tolerated" and take you to a checkpoint.
Kill 2 friendlies and be carefull not to run over another one by accident.
To kill the RAPS, just keep jumping on him.

This is the last achievement I need so recently I decided to actually go for it. This last week, I spent a lot of time getting every accolade, and then did combat immersion on realistic.

May have been for nothing. Turns out one of my campaign challenges is glitched. "Running the gauntlet" is stuck at tier II. Nothing I do will get tier III completed. It's for getting a gold rating in combat immersion which I've definitely done several times.

I've submitted an Activision support ticket for it. Don't know if I can expect much after all these years. I might have to reset stats and start all over.

Just finished. A few notes:

- You may unlock a decoration early. Ignore that and complete it anyway (specifically Master of Arms.)
- For Martial Mastery III, use Weapon Breakdown on human enemies when farming the 500. You don't have to kill them. Just use the ability.
- Life level robot turnstile farming is absolutely fastest for Master of Arms.
- For annoying weapons, put a few bullets on the robot and melee, it is quicker. Melees count for all guns.
- If you get bored of Life farming, just do the Rise and Fall Farm. I found the human enemies are quicker for submachine guns.

For anyone experiencing this “glitch” you can reset your campaign as if you’d never played it before. Go campaign-> select mission -> press the start button and then it will ask you if you want to wipe your campaign data. Bit shit, but at least it’ll guarantee you the achievement if it glitched. Personally it hasn’t glitched for me. I’ve done this on ps4 back in 2015 and then this year on Xbox one

I was also in this spot but i did this a bit different.
Right at the beginning of each round i used controll to get 2 of the Talons on my side. Then i jumped in to the corner down there. Now i listened if there are more Talons and waited for them. After all Talons were killed i used cloak and get out of cover and killed around 2 enemies and got back in cover. The heavy machinegunners are pretty easy. I lured them with cloak aa bit down to my spot, then i used the controll special to hack his exo suit. The gunners is stunned now and can be killed very easy.
For round 14 and 16, the ASP is used some sort of mortar. If it shots, run along the wall so the rockets won't hit you. If you manage to kill everything besides the ASP, go up (Only if you have the last tacticspecial equip in your class. Sorry, i don't know how it's called in english).
From there wait for his mortar, block all rockets and use the little time window with cloak special and shot him.

That's how i did it. Took me around 66 minutes. Hope this help and sorry for my bad? englishsmile

Anyone know of a good spot to grind out 300 Vehicle kills for the Black Cell secondary weapon? I don't want to have to play mission 1 100 times to blow up the 3 cars at the end.

I can't get the Clean Sweep accolade in level 6 "the alley"

I have walked back and forth through that place multiple times, spamming the bee swarm, no way anyone could have lived.

PM me if you have any ideas/this is happening to you??

Immortal Fame is giving me a lot of trouble. I went through the whole thing twice on Veteran without restarting checkpoints (this was 4-player co-op), and only those who'd hosted at least 1 mission at some point (not necessarily with us) got it. For example, one guy hosted mission 1 & 3-11. Then, I did mission 2 with another guy from the team, but this time he hosted mission 2. He got the accolade, exactly because he hosted at least one mission. I didn't host any, and for some reason my NAT and/or connection makes it impossible for me to host a lobby. Therefore, I haven't gotten it yet.

When I get the chance, I'm going to try replaying the first mission solo on Veteran without restarting a checkpoint, and I'll see if that gives me the accolade. If not, I seem to be SoL.

Just finished farming all my kills. I used the far back right on the last mission instead of the far back left as mentioned in this guide's "4.5" farming location.

I think this is the best overall spot for farming for a couple reasons. First, it's very safe. I'm not sure what the guide says in 4.5 about Talons bothering you, because the never entered the room on the right. In one session i got in excess of 4000 kills and finished off camos for 10 weapons without ever coming close to dying. Second, there is a loadout crate at the beginning of the area, so when you finish one loadout you can just switch to another.

Here's a clip of the farming where I was working on both weapons and the "Tools of the Trade" campaign challenges:

For "immortal fame" do I have to complete the entire campaign ? or can I just select a mission and then complete ? on veteran.

You need to kill the Warlord at the start of the mission, any pistol is fine, i used the Annihilator, and your AI cannot touch him or it's void, just keep resetting that checkpoint until you get it.

Two more accolades to go and they are killing me lol, blowing up the trucks on the first stage... I just cant get enough always at least missing 1 truck or 4... Never a different number. Multiple K.I.A. is destroying me too. I just don't get enough kills. Anyone have any sugeestions for either or seen a video with the trucks numbered so we can see where to shoot. Its so dark I think is the problem. Also thanks for the annialator gun tip on the other accolade that did it for me.

Hello, is anyone experiencing the same glitch as me? All I have left is completing the campaign without restarting from a checkpoint, I've done mission 1 and 3 today. However, I tried to do mission 2 but it would only freeze and make a really odd noise which would often lead me to the dashboard or sometimes it would restart my xbox. I have only tried this solo, so I do not know if is the same for multi.

If anyone else knows how to fix this, please message me. Cheers.

This is the greatest guide I've ever seen on TA, it demonstrates the comprehensive dedication to achievement hunting as much as the achievement itself.

Thank you for this guide, yes I'm still after this achievement in 2017! laugh I had to take a break from this one, but I'm back to settle old scores and couldn't do so without a guide such as this one! smile

@Lighted I realised that after doing both! Realistic wasn't too bad, but getting into the Coalesence building on Life was a pain. No deaths was a breeze, only had to save/quit like twice.

Can anyone confirm or deny if you have to finish a level once you unlock an accolade? I played hypocenter and only got the sniper kills, and then a week later played it again all the way through and I got the unlock for the sniper accolades at the end. I'm curious if that might stop you from unlocking this achievement. If you have one specific accolade that can only be registered as unlocked once you finish the level....

I know that I have 4 posts in a row now but I just wanted to give a final update.
Not sure what I did differently between my first run through and my second but the second time I did in fact get the achievement to unlock! So what the solution says in the first line about it being locked forever is not true. I filmed a video of it glitched for me three years ago and you can check my profile, I just got it.

To get it I made sure to end by finishing a level completely, and I only had one thing left to unlock and that was one of the challenges (getting 100 overwhelming force kills).

I did use the combat immersion realistic glitch as well as the fabrication kits cheat code, so don't be afraid to use those!

I wish you all good luck, and I am very glad that I am done with this game!

So I ended up resetting my stats, and now I've discovered a simple glitch that I haven't seen anyone else mention.

So it's been said that when you're going for the veteran without dying medal, you can save and quit as soon as you die. This will count for the medal but will not count for the Untouched accolades.

Well, instead of saving and quitting, pause the game as soon you die and manually close the game by hitting the xbox button, highlighting the game, pressing start and then quit. Now you can cheese the Untouched accolades as well.

The "Running the Gauntlet" campaign challenge has glitched on me. It's only given me credit for completing the tier 1 challenge, but tiers 2 and 3 are refusing to unlock, even though I've attained a gold rating a few times. I've researched extensively and unfortunately it appears the only way around this glitch is to either reset your campaign data, or start a new save in online mode instead of offline or vice versa. If this is the case, I would strongly recommend anyone starting the campaign and going for this achievement is to play through the campaign until you get access to the safehouse. Then GO FOR THE Running the Gauntlet Tier 3 campaign challenge BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE. That way, if the challenge screws up on you again, you can always reset the campaign data without losing much progress.

@Defecate The mission 'Rise and Fall' when you are meant to plant the spike launcher into the ground is the best place to get all weapons except for one rocket launcher.

@Sunhize Some people have had it unlock even if they aren't host but i would suggest hosting if you want to be completely certain

Guess I'm waiting on a patch to fix it. That rocket launcher that can't get camo. The all accolades not showing up.

I was worried from the beginning because it requires 11 medals, to get that 11th medal you need to have the 11th medal. Treyarch logic.

This achievement is very doable once you get combat immersion realistic one, it just takes time. Campaign veteran without deaths on each level and realistic would be the next two challenging steps, but with 4 players shouldnt be a problem at all
0
0
By T Dawg182 on 17 Nov 2015 18:54
The achievement is unobtainable at the moment, hence why no one has popped it. A rocket launcher won't register kills so you can't get the the camoe's for it, a lot of peoples 'complete all accolades' does unlock on medals board and the challenge to earn decorations is impossible because you need to complete all challenges to get one of the medals but to do a challenge you need all medals

Attention everyone! There is a glitch that currently works which makes beating combat immersion on realistic possible. I have tried multiple times to do this legitimate but there is no way in hell it can be done. Here's how this glitch works.

2 people are required. Only one person can do it at a time though. Person 1 is the person doing the glitch and person 2 is required to activate the glitch.

Person 1 needs to go into their safe house solo and just sit in a combat immersion chair. With their cursor hovering over “begin combat simulation” but do not select it, just wait there.
At the same time, person 2 is going to go into their own safe house solo and begin a combat immersion in any difficulty. Complete round 1 and then let the enemies kill you on round 2. This will take you back to the combat immersion menu, hover over “begin combat immersion”
Now person 2 sends person 1 an invite to their game, which person 1 accepts.

Person 2 does nothing, just stays in the menu and person 1 will spawn into the safe house.

Now person 1 needs to go up to the same chair that person 2 is in and keep holding cn_X while they move around the chair. No prompt to enter the chair will appear, but if done right you should enter the same chair that person 2 is in, clipping into their body as you do so.

You now will both be in the coma t immersion menu. Person 1 needs to select “begin combat simulation” and about a quarter second later person 2 does the same.

You now will both be in the same game. You'll know you did it right if person 1's HUD is gone and they are unable to crouch. If this is the case person 1 is now invincible!

Make sure that person 2 switches the game difficulty to realistic. And then kills themselves. Person 2 will be kicked to the menu. They need to stay here without hitting any buttons.

Person 1 is now free to complete the combat immersion, they are invincible so it is very easy. However you do not have access to DNI abilities but can shoot their guns.

If you're like me and not a god at the combat simulator then I highly recommend you do this glitch. As well u can pretty easily get the 35000 points if you haven't yet. I recommend you get going with this ASAP in case it is patched soon. Hope this helps getting this ridiculous achievement

Regarding this comment about Weapon kill farming in the mission Life:
This method is extremely fast, however it is very risky.
It is not that risky at all. You can equip Emergency Reserve and whenever you go down (which should never happen anyway), you can run back to the Weapon's Supply Crate in the beginning where you dropped down and refresh your Emergency Reserve, by re-selecting your current or a new load-out.

I can confirm that War Machine kills are NOT needed. The achievement popped when I started a new mission.

UPDATE: The Immortal Fame run was a joke. Whisperin Clown and I blasted through the campaign in 10h. Only needed to restart 2 missions. Anyone who is worried about this challenge... don't be...

UPDATE 2: Realistic was even faster than Immortal Fame. Took Lonewolf81083 and I 7.5h. There were two annoying parts where we had to restart check points constantly (Sand Castle boss fight and Life plaza), but otherwise a joke.

I'm getting caught up on this damn "Immortal" challenge in the missions master section of the campaign challenges. I've completed several missions without dying on hardened, but the challenge will not unlock. I got the accolade to unlock for some of the missions for not dying though. I've bled out, but I recovered with auto revive. Any one else having trouble with this challenge?

Immortal Fame. I had trouble with Sand Castle because if Maretti downs you and you are in the open, even if you have revive it will reload the checkpoint. The only way I was able to get past him was to use the charge ability to shoot from one side to the other.

Also if you happen to have used up your revive, switch your loadout to one without revive and then back onto the class with revive. It resets it so you can revive again.

No, I'm not going after the "immortal fame" decoration right now. I'm going after the "duty calls" decoration, which is complete all campaign challenges. One of the challenges is called "immortal". You get it by completing any level on hardened, veteran or realistic without dying. What I'm saying is, I HAVE completed several missions without dying on at least the hardened difficulty, but I'm not being awarded the challenge completion. I know I'm doing it cause I'm still getting the accolade for not dying. I'm only asking if anyone else was having trouble with this campaign challenge because it might be glitched. The only thing I can think of that's preventing it from unlocking, besides it being glitched, is that it's counting the times I've bled out as dying. Does anybody have this challenge completed?

Honestly for training simulator, I prefer draken sniper with recon sight, fmj, rapid fire, extended mags and whatever else you want on it for primary. Does more damage than gorgan and you can take down a pawws in less than a clip, warlords within 5-7 shots if mostly headshots

Did you go down and bled out at all? I just completed that mission on hardened, but I still didn't get the damn challenge. I bled out at the very end but then I auto revived.

I finished it on realistic earlier, anyone having problem with avoiding the Mortars you should follow my strat here:

https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/gameclip/c91cd818-3a88-47d9-a...

As for the set up:

Primary: Locus sniper rifle: Ballistics CPU, Extended Mags, Fast Mags, FMJ
Secondary Weapon: Gorgon Light Machine Gun: Reflex, FMJ, Rapid Fire

Lethal: Trip Mine
Tactical: EMP

Repulsor Armour
Traversal Enhancement

Everything fully upgraded (All Tac-Rigs and cyber core abilities)

Pretty much camp in the camp spot as shown, and snipe everyone. Pop out, Snipe kill a few enemies, then pop back into the camp spot. Whenever there's a round with Talons, activate the round, run to the back towards the stairs and hide there, then camo after 2--3 seconds, pop out of cover and LMG the Talons and kill them all. Then from there jump down into the camp spot, proceed to snipe kill everyone (Except for machines or Wardens)

For Wardens, once all enemies are dead (Use the XM-53 rockets on the Tanks and Robocop enemies). Camo then locate where the wardens are, once they are located, navigate around the map and get behind them. Once you're near them, camo and approach them from behind and then punch them 3 times and they die, get back, then re-camo when it comes back up and do the same for the second warden. If you camo and run infront of them, there's a chance they may shoot at you.

For the Mortar ASP, do the tactic in the video above for rounds 14/16, obviously if there other enemies, kill them first, mainly the mechs with your rocket launcher. Once they are dead, kill the soldiers, then the ASP and finally the wardens (because the wardens then to stand still). For the ASP just LMG it then rocket it. If yo need more ammo, instead of running out jump up the side of the wall and get to the ammo box during camo then get back to the camp spot.

For human waves, sit in the camp spot and spam fireflies till everyone cept the Robots/wardens dies. For Round 9, watch out because the RAPs may roll into you and rek you, so kill them first before you camo and start sniping the rest of the enemies.

There is currently glitch to beat combat immersion on realistic. The glitch will make you invincible. I was able to also get the 35k decoration at same time. Below is step by step process.

(Rewrote for simplicity)
Player 1 = host.
Player 2 = player 2.

1. Have host invite you to a campaign game party.(at menu not in safe house)

2. Have host load up mission 3. (It'll put you in safe house after cutscene)

3. After both load in, looking towards the combat simulator from the barracks, player 2 sit in the right hand chair, then exit chair and host sit in the chair.

4. Have host hover over Begin Immersion while player 2 leaves the game.

5. Player 2 Join back in through your friends tab in the social menu.(hit Y from black ops menu, don't use friends/party snap)

6. After loading in, walk over to the host. If the chair they are in spins towards you like it is empty, you can sit in it.

7. Both players hit Begin Immersion at the same time. Both should load in.

8. Player with God mode will not have an ammo counter on their hud. Player without God mode should die during wave 1 so the God mode player can finish the combat immersion.

9. After God mode player finishes combat immersion, reverse the steps, having your friend do everything you had done so you both finish it.

Ah this has been discovered now, however you can also do it splitscreen. you know you have done it proper when you are in the simulator with your friend or splitscreen guest. here is a video of me doing splitscreen from the begin combat to entering the game. Notice top player (player 1-me) has no ammo hud yet p2 does.

Some people down vote because they hate glitches and exploits in games, some do it to be assholes. This is for those who have little patience or just fed up of reaching like wave 15 or even 16 and just getting popped from no where and dying.

I can confirm this works 100%

why not just make every game like fallout 4 pc or avatar. Why bother achievement hunting if the first sign of an actual achievement your just going to cheat. The point in this site should be stat tracking forums and sharing strategy not spreading bullshit ways to get a number you don't deserve pop up.

thats just my opinion and its no more right than anybody else s.

^Please, shut the fuck up. We honestly don't care. We aren't hurting anyone. Just because we rather do a 'glitch' than do it legit and waste valuable hours... smh.

Still works as of 23rd of April. Just got it done. Now all I have left to do is veteran without restarting from a checkpoint... Cheers for this guide!

CONFIRMED Still works Feb 20, 2018.
If one of the chairs wouldn't let me sit two people in it (I did it split-screen) I simply tried a different chair. If no chairs worked I would save & quit to the main menu then start back up the mission to the Singapore safehouse in mission 3.
Thank you very much for this. This solution is great, thumbs up from me!

here's the secret to the splitscreen glitch: this can be done on any safehouse in any chair, but the way to know the trick will work is if the first person gets in the chair **as it is in the process of spinning**. not before it spins, not when it is done spinning. if you catch it mid motion with player 1, then it will work.

also, for the 35000 score, don't focus on time or what difficulty you're on. take it slow and get as many headshots as you can. that's what the score is based off of.

I never said it wasnt cheating lol,but using a guide ( e.g collectibles) can be construed as a form of cheating as you technically aren't doing it yourself. It just annoys me that there are some gamers who think they are god's gift to gaming and like to put down others who maybe aren't as good and maybe will take any small advantage they can to gain achievements. At end of the day, they not doing anything illegal like hacking it,it is a glitch whose blame lies with TREYARCHsmile

Still works in split screen, confirmed. I did this method: Load "In Darkness", watch entire cutscene. Once loaded into safehouse, use P2 to go to the right-most seat from spawn. Sit down with P2. Once menu for P2 has fully loaded, move P1 and try sitting down on P2. There was NO button prompt for me, and the chair did NOT swivel. So just keep exiting to the main menu, then reloading the whole thing from scratch it until it works. Took me around 15 tries.

Then begin simulation at the same time, if P1 doesn't get godmode, quit to the combat simulator loadout screen and reload it. Do NOT get out of the seats. Once P1 gets the godmode, just run P2 off the edge and have him wait at the score screen. Don't click back to the loadout screen. Then with P1, go wild.

working april 2018. doesnt appear to matter which level or watching cutscenes. the way I do it almost flawless is go near a chair, look away. then look at the chair and quickly press X. the chair will still be sliding. then quickly run with the second controller and press X to sit on the same chair. first man to sit will have no hud and god mode

It's a bit hit and miss however it is doable via split screen. It may take a few attempts but you'll eventually get it. I was in the same position took me 40 minutes to do it at one point but I managed to do it.

I haven't seen any guides about getting the "Tools of the Trade" challenge done yet, so I'll try my best giving you guys some tips how to get this done.

I have also posted a video of me farming kills for weapon camo's at the bottem of this guide. In my opinion it's the best spot for farming weapon kills (and CyberCore ability kills). It's in the mission "Rise and Fall" where you're supposed to use your Spike Launcher. At the end of the video, I'll show you that I had 200+ kills within 5 minutes. Obviously, play on Recruit difficulty to make your life a lot easier.

I have written down a list with all the challenges needed for this assignment + the best way to get them. My advise is to use your abilities as much as you can throughout the campaign when you are going for: Accolades, a certain difficulty or farming kills for your weapon camo's because this will narrow down the process significantly. The best place to farm your ability kills is in the mission "Rise and Fall" when you get your Spike Launcher and you have destroyed 3 tunnel systems, because the enemies will spawn infinitely (there are multiple ammo crates around the place if you need ammo).

NOTE: Once you have reached level 20 (maximum level) in the campaign they let you switch to different CyberCore abbilities during your game. This makes this challenge much easier, because you can switch right to another ability when you have finished one. You can upgrade your Core abilities at your safehouse by selecting them in the CyberCore station. This makes your abilities significantly stronger/better and it reduces cooldown times.

You can check your progress by pressing cn_start in the main menu --> Challenges --> Campaign --> Tools of the Trade. Unfortunately, you can't access this menu while being in your Safehouse.

In order to use your CyberCore ability hold down cn_down to choose your ability and hold down both cn_LB cn_RB at the same time to use it.

The list:

Control Core Mastery III - Use Control CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.

Martial Core Mastery III - Use Martial CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.

Chaos Core Mastery III - Use Chaos CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.

It doesn't matter which Core ability you use, as long if it is from the right Core tree.
The best abilities to use are: Terminal Breakdown (Control Core), Mass Weapon Lockout (Martial Core) and Mass Overload (Chaos Core). These abilities target multiple enemies at a time. Easily done while grinding weapon kills, just use your ability as soon as it is available.

Commandeered III - Kill 100 enemies using Remotely Hijacked robots.

Remote Hijack is a Control Core ability. Simply hijack any robot (Talon, Cerberus, R.A.P.S, A.S.P, P.A.W.W.S or Turret) and get 100 kills total.

Fast as Lightning III - Kill 100 enemies with a follow up Rapid Strike melee attack.

Rapid Strike is a Martial Core ability. For a kill to count, it must be the second or third kill in sequence - the first rapid strike doesn't count. Therefore, only use it when there are several enemies in close proximity. You have to be set to the Martial Core to be able to do this, it doesn't matter which ability you have it on however.
There is an achievement you can get with this ability: "Bliff! Bap! KaPow!" it requires you to kill 3 enemies in a melee combo (a rapid strike) - worth 10G.

Inferno III - Kill 100 enemies in the explosion from Immolated enemies.

Immolation is a Chaos Core ability. It sets robots on fire causing them to explode, and if upgraded to Adaptive Immolation, it will blow up the explosives on human enemies. The immolated enemy doesn't count, only the enemies killed by the explosion, so use it on groups of robots or humans. The best place to do this is in the mission "Hypocenter" when you are trying to kill/save Diaz. The robots will spawn infinitely as long as you don't blow up the 3rd core. You can train them behind you to make them easier targets and simply use (Adaptive)Immolation on the center robot.

Juiced III - Debilitate 135 enemies with an electrostatic discharge.

For this, you must use Homing Surge, Terminal Breakdown or Ravage Core, which are Control Core abilities. Use Homing Surge and Ravage Core on robots in groups to debilitate multiple at a time. Can be stacked with 3 Laws Compliant III.
Use Terminal Breakdown on groups of human enemies to fry their brains.

Shockwave III - Knock down or kill 100 enemies using Concussive Wave.

Concussive Wave is a Martial Core ability. Simply get kills with it or knock enemies down, nothing special.

Pulverized III - Pulverise 100 enemies using Overwhelming Force.

Overwhelming Force is a Martial Core ability, which becomes Unstoppable Force when upgraded. Charge through groups of enemies for this one.
There is an achievement you can get with this ability: "Rolling Heavy" it requires you to kill 5 enemies using one burst of Unstoppable Force - worth 10G.

3 Laws Compliant III - Using Ravage Core, debilitate or kill 100 enemies with a volatile power core.

Ravage Core is a Control Core ability. Press cn_RB when near a robot to rip it's core out and throw it like a grenade. Only enemies effected by the core will count. You have to be set to the Control Core to be able to do this. Just like Rapid Strike, it doesn't matter which ability you have it on. The best place to do this is in the mission "Hypocenter" when you are trying to kill/save Diaz. The robots will spawn infinitely as long as you don't blow up the 3rd core. You can train them behind you to make them easier targets and simply use Ravage Core on the front robot and throw the core between the other robots.

Swarmed III - Kill 125 enemies while they are blinded by Fireflies.

Firefly Swarm is a Chaos Core ability. Use it on human enemies to distract them, then kill them.

Demolition Expert III - Earn 150 kills with explosives.

Self explanatory. Grenades, launchers, barrels, anything that explodes. You will automatically get this while playing campaign.

My video:
If you are having trouble and you're dying a lot, try to take it slow. The enemies will spawn infinitely. I was a bit to greedy and that almost lead to my dead. Use your invisibility wisely and if you are hurt and have no invisibility, take cover behind the concrete blocks on the right. You can also use your Firefly Swarm instead of your invisibility, it might even be more effective. Before you start this mission, make sure you have the Tac-Rig "Copycat" in your active slot. Now, you will be able to pick up any gun from the ground and level dat gun as soon as you are finished with your primary weapon. Why? Well, there is no mobile armory in that place so it would be a waste of time to quit the mission and start it all over with a new weapon. If you press cn_back during your game, you can track how many kills you have. Remember, you also need 150 kills with the Annihilator and 300 kills with the War Machine (the camo's for these guns are invisible but they do count for the assignment). IF YOU DIE WHILE FARMING KILLS, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR PROGRESS! SO MAKE SURE AFTER YOU FEEL YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR WEAPON, YOU TRIGGER THE NEXT CHECKPOINT! Blow up all the tunnels and you will spawn next to a mobile armory, your checkpoint will trigger right there. You can safely quit your game now.
So in total, you will need the following amount of kills with every single gun in the game:

- 650 kills with every Assault Rifle
- 650 kills with every Light Machine Gun
- 650 kills with every Sniper Rifle
- 650 kills with every Shotgun
- 300 kills with every Rocket Launcher
- 150 kills with every Pistol
- 150 kills with the Annihilator & 300 kills with the War Machine

That is 18.250 kills total!

You can track your weapon progress by going to the Weapon Armory in your Safehouse or by going to your Barracks -> Campaign --> Weapons.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really hope that this guide will help you completing the Tools of the Trade assignment. Personally I had some trouble figuring out what to do exactly, because it can be a bit vague, but after a while I figured out what to do.

If you vote down, please tell me why and how I can improve this guide and if you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to ask/explain them in the comments below or in a private message.

I wish all of you the best of luck, this achievement will definitely test your patience and it is up to you to decide how committed you are wink

Thanks for this. I just posted a solution for this achievement so it's not letting me give your guide a thumbs up or else I would. I was hoping someone would put up a guide for the challenges and that looks like a good place to go for SMG & Shotgun kills which is all I have left now.

Nice summary for the core challenges. But the kill farming spot is not the best. In 'Life' you can get kills much faster, and there's a weapons supply crate as well, so you can change your load out.

I agree with Dr Marty. The mission "Life" and the wolf spawn is a much better location with absolutely no risk for most of the weapons. The exceptions of course being the shotguns and that one vehicle lock-on only weapon.

Obviously, the shotgun farm I would agree with OP utilizing the infinite spawn in "Rise & Fall". However, I found myself getting too reckless and would occasionally die losing all the progress for nothing. My strategy for farming this with the least amount of risk where I literally died 0 times compared to the 10+ times I was careless was by not setting up any of the spikes and running and gunning to the breached wall on the other side of the war zone entrance. From here, I would lay prone next to the barricades immediately to the right of the hole in the wall and hip fire shotgun on the enemies as they strafe by. The enemies obviously know you're there and would shoot at you as they're strafing by, but on recruit difficulty, they will be unable to kill you. Make sure you have repulsor armor as well as copy cat on. When you run low/out of ammo, I would immediately use camo and run over the dead bodies trying to max out before returning to the prone position by the barricade. Again, random grenades would usually get repulsed away and the seldom drones flying by won't do much damage to the point of near-death..

Welcome to the Combat Immersion Program, which you have to survive all the way through its 16 rounds on the realistic difficulty setting. I hope you will enjoy your long stay here. If you are sitting comfortably, we'll begin.

First off, on the realistic difficulty, you will die in one shot of every weapon except for warlords and vehicles – which will kill you in two.

You really should be level 20 in campaign before attempting this because it allows you to switch between cybernetics sub-classes at any time which is really important. If you are not level 20 and still wish to attempt it, I would strongly recommend using the control path, as it allows you to use Hijack.

Loadout :

Any primary assault rifle or light-machine gun can work here, Gorgon is very good but not mandatory. You can equip whatever you want on it, but thermal optics works very well as it allows you to see most enemies through light walls. FMJ are also required, and extended magazines works well against warlords.

My gear :

Primary : Gorgon + thermal optics + extended mag + FMJ + grip + fast mags + rapid fire

Secondary: War-machine

Lethal: Trip-mine

Tactical: Shock charge or EMP grenade

TAC-RIG: Traversal Enhancement (not needed) & Repulsor Armor

Wildcards: Primary gunfighter 1 & 2 & 3

You will encounter several types of enemies, robots and humans, that will increase in number and firepower as you make your way to the last wave. They are listed below:

Human infantry : the basic enemy, can carry sniper rifles, shotguns or assault rifles; they are deadly from all distances but are very easy to take out, they often spawn in great numbers. Firefly Swarm and Sonic A.P. will kill them in the most efficient way. They will often see you when invisible.

Human shield infantry : basically an infantry but with a riot shield that cannot be shot through, aim for the left arm or the feet. They can't climb the platforms so they will take the long way around – use it at your advantage and place mines on their path. Never face them directly or death is ensured.

Warlord : heavy armored human infantry – very similar to the Juggernaut from the Modern Warfare series – moves slowly but fires while moving and will take you out in two shots. They have a blast shield preventing any explosive to be fired or thrown at them. Aim for the head for extra damage, always fight them from afar; use Firefly Swarm or Control's Terminal Breakdown to stun them temporarily.

G.I.U. (Robot infantry) : the basic robot, can carry assault rifles and shotguns. They are a little bit tougher to kill than their human counterpart but deal the same amount of damage. They can be hacked using Protocol Override to fight alongside you or killed using Immolation (caution: they won't die immediately so be careful when using it).

Talon-MG : very lightly armored flying vehicle, kills you in two shots and spawns in great numbers. You need to hijack them as soon as possible and kill everything on the map with them; if you can't, you can always turn them allies using Protocol Override or destroy them with Immolation. (fly up using cn_RB, down using cn_LB, fire using cn_RT and zoom using cn_LT)

Cerberus : median armor ground vehicle, fire rockets and bullets but moves very slowly. You also need to hijack them as soon as possible and try to kill everything on the map with them; if you can't, you can always turn them allies using Protocol Override or destroy them with Immolation. (fire bullets using cn_RT, rockets using cn_LT)

R.A.P.S. : very lightly armored and very fast kamikaze ground vehicle. Will only spawn on wave 9. They can be destroyed with few shots but not by trip-mines; try to turn them allies using Protocol Override but never hijack them as they are weak and practically never worth hacking.

P.A.W.W.S. : heavily armored ground vehicle, fire rockets and bullets and moves at a standard pace. Can be shot down quickly with rocket launchers or war-machine or simply with a couple magazines of regular rifles. They won't see you while invisible if you stay far away, so use it at your advantage.

A.S.P.-C : very heavily armored ground vehicle, fire charged and regular rockets and bullets, moves at a very slow pace. Needs to be shot in the core with bullets in order to be damageable with explosives, otherwise a blast shield will protect it. They won't see you while invisible if you stay far away, so use it at your advantage.

A.S.P.-ML : the same as the regular A.S.P.-C at the exception they can lock rockets on the player (they will not all be all repulsed by your blast shield).

Now let's begin with the waves themselves. Don't forget to turn the difficulty to realistic before entering the combat immersion.

Round 1 :

x4 human infantry

→ Use Firefly Swarm or Sonic A.P. and take them out as they spawn.

Round 2 :

x6 human infantry

→ Use Firefly Swarm or Sonic A.P. and take them out as they spawn.

Round 3 :

x2 Talon-MG ; x1 Warlord

→ Quickly Remote Hijack one of the talons, take the other one out and the warlord.

Round 4 :

x6 G.I.U.

Protocol Override the most possible then take out the remaining ones quickly. If you aren't fast enough, place mines at your platform to secure it.

Round 5 :

x4 Talon-MG ; x3 G.I.U.

Hijack one of the talons, then kill the remaining enemies with it.

Round 6 :

x1 P.A.W.W.S. ; x2 Cerberus

Hijack one of the cerberuses whilst staying in cover, then kill the remaining enemies with it, prioritize killing the cerberus first.

Round 7 :

x3/4 human infantry ; x3/4 shield infantry ; x3 Cerberus

→ Depending on the spawns, either directly Hijack a cerberus or kill the infantry atop the platform then Hijack into a cerberus anyway; kill the rest of the enemies with the cerberus, prioritize killing the cerberuses first.

Round 8 :

x6 Talon-MG ; x1 A.S.P.-C

Hijack one of the talons, kill the rest of them using it, then kill yourself holding X. Stay atop the platform until Camouflage is up, use it to stealthy shoot the repulsor shield of the A.S.P.-C with bullets then use your war-machine to damage it; repeat three or four times. Don't be greedy and wait for your cybernetics to be usable before going out of cover.
Note: The A.S.P.-C will not see you when cloaked if you stay far from it.

ALTERNATIVE : Thanks to StockierHeart : you can shoot the trophy system placed on the "head" of the A.S.P, so you dont need camo to get him: just go near the edge where you can see only the "globe" and wont get shot.

Round 9 :

x7 G.I.U. ; x5 R.A.P.S.

→ This wave is rough. You need to use Protocol Override at the very beginning on two R.A.P.S.'s and then take out the visible R.A.P.S.'s and infantry close to them as quickly as possible while staying in cover. If done correctly, the R.A.P.S.'s will have detonated into one another and you will be left only with G.I.U.'s. Take your time, use Protocol Override as soon as possible, and place trip-mines securing the platform you are at.
Note: if you have failed to take out all the R.A.P.S.'s, wait for them in a corner and react fast when you see them, you also can Override them even if they are on their way to blow you up. You can hear them as the are getting closer as well as your screen begins to shake off lightly.

Round 10 :

x4 Talon-MG ; x2 Warlord

→ Use Remote Hijack on a talon, kill the rest of them. Stay onto the platform in the middle of the map to take cover and then wipe out the two warlords from up there.

Round 11 :

x4 G.I.U. ; x2 P.A.W.W.S.

Override two G.I.U.'s, they will make a good decoy. Kill the remaining infantry as quickly as possible; check your kills in the scoreboards (cn_back) to see if you've killed all the robots, if you haven't, be on the lookout for them and possibly place mines. When only the P.AW.W.S'.s remain, finish them using Camouflage and war-machine.

Round 12 :

x5/6 human infantry ; x3 shield infantry ; x1 Warlord

→ Place mines on the paths of the shield infantry before the round starts. As soon as it starts, use Firefly Swarm and kill as many enemies as possible on the platform (check your kills on the scoreboard, this is very important !). When the warlord is stunned by the Swarm take him out by aiming at the head.
Note: if you have failed and the warlord is on its way climbing your platform, use Camouflage and go to another platform, then use Firefly Swarm and take him out. You really should take your time here as it is the second hardest wave on the entire simulation.
EDIT: Terminal Breakdown is even better than Swarm versus Warlords, as it activates instantly.

Round 13 :

x8/9 human infantry ; x2 Warlord

→ Very similar to round 12, only this time use mines on your platform on "1st floor" (or 2nd floor, the one just above the ground floor so we understand each other) where enemies climb. Use Firefly Swarm and take out as many infantry as you can then switch platform using Camouflage and repeat. This is the hardest wave of the simulation.
EDIT: Terminal Breakdown is even better than Swarm versus Warlords, as it activates instantly.

Round 14 :

x4 Talon-MG ; x2 P.A.W.W.S. ; x1 A.S.P.-ML

Hijack a talon as soon as the round starts, then take everything out except the A.S.P.-ML because you can't. Use Camouflage to shoot its core and then use war-machine to damage it. Be very careful when it shoots a missile barrage in the air as it will be locked onto you and you will have to circle around your platform (stay at the top !) to avoid them as your repulsor armor will not repel all the missiles.
Note: you should try to aim for direct impacts with the war-machine on the A.S.P.-ML, this way you can take it out in two passages.

ALTERNATIVE : Thanks to StockierHeart : you can shoot the trophy system placed on the "head" of the A.S.P, so you dont need camo to get him: just go near the edge where you can see only the "globe" and wont get shot.

Round 15 :

x4 Talon-MG ; x4 G.I.U. ; x2 Warlord ; x2 P.A.W.W.S.

→ Quickly Hijack a talon and then use it to kill everything, warlords in priority before the P.A.W.W.S. You should really use the middle platform to stay in cover as much as possible.

Round 16 :

x4 Talon-MG ; x4 G.I.U. ; x2 Warlord ; x2 P.A.W.W.S. ; x1 A.S.P.-ML

→ Basically the same as round 14 except you have to kill more enemies with the talon, which isn't really hard.

Happy frustration guys !

I created a video showing where the best place to farm kills is at. Load up the mission "Demon Within" and hack a Talon then take the robot down. Now just run through the next bit as fast as you can until you get to the wolves. Kill off the wolves that rush you, without moving ahead.

Now just hang back and shoot the infinite spawning wolves like I do in the video. Press the back button to check how many kills you're at. Make sure to get a little more than 650 just to be safe. Get 650 with your primary weapon and then use your secondary weapon and either get 150 pistol kills or 300 rocket kills. There's an ammo box to your left, so ammo isn't a problem. The only real problem would be if you fell off the map or killed yourself with a rocket, which is unlikely.

The Annihilator and War Machine don't have any attachments or camos even though the medal specifically says "Weapons, Attachments & Camos", but you still must (For whatever reason) get the required kills with those weapons as well. Just to be safe I did 100 extra kills with the Annihilator and 100 extra kills with the War Machine.

Once you get your kills, you can save & quit the game from the pause menu and all your progress will be saved. If you happen to die, quickly pause and save & quit. If you don't do this fast enough, you will lose progress towards the kills since your last save.

I decided to post my own solution in hopes that people will read this, instead of just commenting on other people's solutions.
A couple of things to note about this achievement! First, I had to do it twice. The first time it glitched on me. I completed all of the objectives, did all the accolades, all that, and the achievement did not unlock.

Eventually I got the guts to do it again, and wouldn't you know it, it actually did unlock!
So! If the first time it fails, fear not! It can unlock the second time

So when left 4 zaneage says this in his solution
"This achievement has a bug that forbids you from unlocking it. Please be aware: if you get the bug--which at this point no one is quite sure about how you get it--you will not be able to unlock the achievement, ever."
That is not necessarily true.
I do not want to tell you 100% that it will unlock for you if it did not the first time, but I will tell you that it did for me, and it did for at least one other person as well.

Things that I did:
Combat immersion on realistic glitch
Cheat code for extra Fabrication Kits
Those seem to be legit, so don't worry about using those

Also, I got my final unlocks by finishing a level, not saving and quitting

I also made sure my last unlock was for a calling card, and not another accolade. I was suspicious that in my first run through of the game I tried to unlock too much at once at the end and I ended up glitching it. So the last thing I did this time was complete a level and finish up my 100 overwhelming force kills, so that way only 1 thing had to unlock to get my final two accolades. I hope that makes sense, I can clarify again if that's confusing.

ALWAYS make sure that if you get an accolade, you finish the level! You can save and quit and you will get progress for it on your calling card progress, but I had some problems with that. I got two accolades on Hypocenter, the ones that involved sniping people at the beginning, and then I quit out. I did some other levels, and later on I came back to Hypocenter to do my Veteran run with no deaths. Only after I beat that did I get the end level unlock screen showing that I had completed those accolades. I had beaten several levels since then, so it made me worried. It is possible that you can unlock some accolades but keep them in a "limbo" state by not finishing the level. In a weird turn of events, I ended up getting the calling card for completing all of the accolades when I still had 2 more to get! Everything unlocked normally besides that, but to play it safe make sure that you always finish the level, or restart it from the beginning and run all the way through.

This will take you a minimum of 3 playthroughs, but plan on more than that. This is what I did.
Playthrough 1: Realistic.
That's it. All you need to worry about is getting through the level
Playthrough 2: Recruit accolade run.
This one may end up being the most time consuming, what you need to do is get every single accolade that you can in every level except for the ones that tell you to do it without dying! You want to save those for the end.
----INTERMISSION-----
Kill everything. Upgrade your weapons, get all the attachments and camos, all that. This step will take forever and it's not super enjoyable to strap in. (In my two playthroughs I found that the mission "Life" was the most time efficient for me.)

Playthrough 3: Veteran no restarts

Now, it might actually make more sense to swap playthroughs 1 and 3 and start on veteran for two reasons. 1st, veteran is an easier approach into the game and you don't have everything unlocked at the very beginning.
And 2nd, if you start with veteran you can use the save and quit technique that is mentioned in other solutions to make getting through the levels easier, because you won't have to restart when you die! Pick whichever way you want. I am telling you what I did, but there were a couple times where I wish I had started with veteran and not Realistic.

Now just to play it safe, when you get your final unlock in the campaign, make sure that you only have one thing to unlock. For me it was Overwhelming force kills, like I mentioned. I made sure to get to 100 kills, and then I finished the level (DO NOT SAVE AND QUIT) and then it unlocked, just like it was supposed to the first time!

I hope that helps! Everyone here has great advice, I just wanted to post from my unique experience and encourage others that if it did not unlock the first time, not all is lost. It unlocked for me! It took me over three years from my first attempt to my second, but I'm glad I finally got around to completing this game.

Edit 2019, September 7th: So my solution had been hidden for a while due to negativ votes. Nobody explained their negative vote so I can only guess what the reason might be. Since the exploit I am describing to get accolades of a cumulative type (destroy X...) works just fine, I assume people who got the accolades legit didn't appreciate that somebody posted a workaround for others that don't want to go the hard way.

Anyways, you will find my old guide below. This new passage here is to share my experiences with getting "Immortal fame" which I just got a few days ago in August of 2019. Now, all there is left for me to do is leveling up all weapons in campaign. Otherwise I'm done.

I first tried to go for immortal fame solo with the story progression method. This means starting a new game (not mission select) to get midlevel checkpoints and when going down quickly dashboard to avoid dying and restarting. I solo played through the whole game on veteran like this, didn't use checkpoints but at the end didn't get the decoration for immortal fame. Directly afterwards, in August '19, I played through the whole game again with a friend using only mission select. We switched hosts randomly, played the missions in a nonlinear order and also restarted missions with the in game restart option when dying. All of this didn't matter and we both got the "immortal fame" decoration after finishing the last mission which was mission 2 for us.

Therefore I can confirm, that you can get immortal fame using mission select, switching hosts and using the in game restart option.

However you cannot dashboard and restart when you die during a regular campaign progression to avoid playing whole missions again.

My loadout recommendation for immortal fame is using a maxed out Dragon with Thermal Sight and FMJ. This allows you to see and shoot enemies through obstacles. Emergency Reserve (ER) which is a refillable extra life is a must as well. You can refill ER at every ammo crate that allows you to select your load out. Just pick the same load out again and you have refilled your ER. For the boss fight in the second to last mission I highly recommend carrying a maxed out Haymaker as a secondary to get easy kills on the wraths the boss is sending towards you.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Old guide:
This is a guide for, what I believe, is an overlooked bug that can be used as a safegame exploit for some of the accolades. It can be used for most accolades in the form of "kill x enemies / destroy X vehicles... with...". I stumbled on this by accident and have used it on some of the tougher accolades I had problems getting. With this trick, they become insanely easy. I found this rather cheap trick while I was in the last mission of my first playthrough and had gotten some of the accolades already, so the list of accolades I am providing below is not intended to be complete. I found and tested this trick in January 2016 and February 1st was the last time I used it to get the final accolades with it. I expect, this will get patched if the devs find out about it.

Before I get into detail on how it works I have to point out that this trick needs midlevel safepoints to work. Not just checkpoints where you restart when you die but real safegames that you can get back to when you exit to the main menu with "save/quit" and "continue story". That means that it only works on normal campaign progression and not with "mission select". When you start a mission from mission select and then "save/exit" it will only save your overall stats but not your checkpoint.

The best way to explain how it works is to use an example:
The last accolade on the mission "provocation" (mission 4) is "vehicular slaughter: destroy 5 trucks". To get this accolade you have to destroy 5 trucks during the final boat ride at the very end of the level. What makes this hard is the fact that there are only five trucks and they rush by rather quick. So if you miss one you are screwed. If you started the mission with "mission select" you will have to restart the whole mission again because when you finally get out of the boat, the mission is over and you don't even have the chance to kill yourself to go back to the last checkpoint. When you use normal campaign progression instead, you will be able to "save/exit" right before the boat ride and create a savegame. When you "continue" from the campaign menu you will continue right before the boat ride and will be able to retry without having to replay the whole mission. Now if you miss one of the trucks, you can just "save/exit" before the boat ride ends (where a new checkpoint is) and then "continue" to retry. While this is already a huge improvement it is not yet the exploit I'm talking about. Let's say you manage to destroy the first 2 trucks but miss the third one which is quite hard to hit. You therefore "save/quit" and "continue" to replay the boat sequence. When you get back into the game the accolade description will say that you have 2 kills already although you are restarting the boat sequence again. This is what I suppose is a bug because usually the progress towards this accolade should be reset when you go back to the beginning of the sequence. If you would die and be put back to the last checkpoint your stats would be reset as well. So what you can do now is just destroy the first 2 easy trucks again and then "save/exit" again. Then when you "continue" you will have 4 destroyed trucks toward this accolade and restart the boat sequence again. Now you will only have to get one more and the accolade is done although you haven't even "seen" all the trucks yet.

For me this worked on a lot of other accolades in the form of "kill x...". Although my example has been a boat / rail shooter sequence it works on regular gameplay as well. I also used it on "Lotus Towers" to get the accolade where you have to get 10 kills with R.A.P.S. or the one where you have to kill 10 robots that are charging towards you (the ones with the flashing stomach). The latter accolade is hard to get because Hendricks usually takes some kills away from you and there are not many more than 10 of those robots. With this trick you just kill the first 3 or so, "save/exit" before you reach the next checkpoint and then "continue" a few times. What was a hard accolade becomes rather easy and cheap. The hardest part about it is enduring the loading times over and over. I also used it on the last mission where you have to kill a certain amount of human enemies with explosive canisters and grenades. In fact, that is where I accidentially found this "bug". Where it didn't work for me is the car ride in the first mission. I had a hard time destroying 12 trucks and tried to use the exploit there but it didn't work for me. I had to get all trucks legit.

I thought about commenting a few words on untouched VS immortal fame in Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III (left 4 zaneage's great guide) but I think this is important enough to deserve it's own solution.

There are two distinct things we need to do, that we might have a tendency to confuse:

- The "untouched" accolade

- The "Immortal fame" decoration

you can get one without getting the other, as they are very different things.

- untouched is granted after successfully running a whole level without dying

you can use emergency reserve (revive)

you CANNOT use save & quit after dying as it will register the accolade as void

I suggest to run this in recruit difficulty and take emergency reserve

as already mentioned, we can grab new emergency reserve perks by changing to a different loadout in the loadout box (present throughout the mission) and changing back to one with emergency reserve

- immortal fame is granted after successfully running each and every single mission without reloading from a checkpoint, in veteran difficulty

you can use emergency reserve (revive)

you can use save & quit as soon as you die and it will still count

you will not get the untouched accolade (if you have to save & quit) but you will get the decoration after completing all missions using this method, and then you can win the accolade on a separate, easier difficulty game

note: at this time, I have not won the cheevo yet, but I got immortal fame so I can confirm this info (also mentioned by BenA3394, "Dont worry if you are not getting the untouched accolade using the save and quit method, you still unlock it at the end.")

TL;DR

emergency reserve and save&quit method do wonders for this cheevo overall as it will save your collectibles, intel items, weapon kills, immortal fame progress, just NOT the untouched accolade

I've been getting a lot of messages about how I unlocked this achievement so I thought I would just write a quick step by step guide of what I did for people that are confused and try to explain it simply.

First, get all the Decorations that you can. I got 9/11 done with the exception of Master of arms (Earn all campaign weapons, attachments and camoes) and Duty calls (Complete all campaign challenges)

NOTE: When I was doing all these medals it was before the first patch so the XM-53 DF rocket launcher kills were not registering and the Above and Beyond decoration (Complete all Accolades for all missions) wasn't unlocking. After the patch the rocket kills counted and the decoration unlocked for me. I say this because some people are finding that their accolades decoration still in a bit buggy, but mine was fine.

Then I started to complete the weapon kills to unlock all the attachments and camoes for all the gun and the challenges. I found the best place to do weapon kills was in 'Rise and Fall' where you get the Spike Launcher. All the enemies funnel out of one hole.

Saving and quitting once you've got the kills does save your progress. Same as if you die, and you quickly save and quit you won't lose anything. The only problem is that when you are up to changing guns you have to restart the mission as there is no point where you can change Loadouts.

A good place for the Black Cell Rocket Kills is in 'Life'. At the beginning, just after the Parking Lot area, there will be 2 ASP's that you have to destroy. Destroy the first and make your way to the buildings about half way up on either the left or right. There will be a Ammo Cache in both where you can constantly resupply. Now the Talons here are continuously spawning so whip out your Black Cell and get the 300 kills you need.

Once I did every gun that had attachments and camoes, I got 150 kills with the Annihilator and 300 kills with the War Machine. I'm not sure the war machine was necessary, but i just wanted to be sure. Edit: (you can track these from the main menu. From the main menu, if you press cn_start and go to 'Barracks' then click on campaign then weapons, there will be a list with every gun. I'll put an edit in, thanks for bringing that up

Once this is done, you MUST either complete the level or die in the Combat Immersion. This will bring up the screen showing you whatever things you've unlocked and if you've completed all weapons it will show you Master of Arms.

At this stage my Duty Calls Decoration had the Decorated III challenge at 10/11 and I had completed every other challenge.

I then Save and Quit, and did a hard restart of my console (holding down the power button for 10 seconds or double clicking the home button, scroll down to settings and go restart)

I then loaded Black ops back up, loaded campaign and went to my Safe house and before I even loaded in, this achievement popped.

Now for more details about the specifics on this achievement, use the left 4 zaneage solution. It's a very good, in depth solution. This is just for those who want/need to know how to get the last few Decorations.

I've made a spreadsheet that came be used to track your progress when going for this achievement. I feel like this helps you keep track and also be able to see what your next objective is without going to the main menu.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Jl3YzdtWCeko0cEUUuGi...

I've found that the best farming location for the camo kills is on the last mission "Life". You need to the point where you hit the courtyard. You'll need to take out the first "spider bot", then take out the helicopter. This will enable the infinitely spawning robots in the back left corner. Head up the left side until you hit a room with a ammo box, you will be running back here to refill quite a bit. Continue heading up to the next room on the left, you'll see two robot spawns. You'll need to kill them if they have already spawned but they will now forever spawn out of these doors as long as you DON'T KILL the next "spider bot". Get as many kills as you can then save and quit and repeat. I highly recommend using the revive perk because if you go down, you will lose all progress that you made killing the robots over and over.

GLITCHED (Requires the 1.06 patch to unlock correctly)

While doing Heroic Service, Legendary Service and Immortal Fame, the game may not track your completion of some missions. If this happens, you'll simply have to replay missions until it unlocks, as there is no tracking.

This is, to put it simply, the make or break for the platinum. There are 12 Decorations available in the campaign which are viewable in your Safehouse by going to the bedroom and interacting with Service Record (if you are playing in co-op, there will be a Service Record for each player - your Service Record is the one in the room you spawn in). These will cover doing pretty much everything in the campaign, and is a huge grind along with having three difficult requirements: Completing Veteran with no checkpoints, completing Realistic and completing all 16 rounds of Combat Immersion on Realistic difficulty.

The Decorations are as follows:

  • Master of Arms: Earn all Campaign Weapons, Attachments, and Camos.
  • Dedicated to Excellence: Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores.
  • Armament Superiority: Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.
  • Heroic Service: Complete the Campaign on the Veteran difficulty setting.
  • Legendary Service: Complete the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty setting.
  • Immortal Fame: Complete every mission in the game at least once on Veteran without restarting from a checkpoint.
  • Chronicler: Locate all of the Collectibles in the Campaign.
  • Above and Beyond: Complete all Accolades for all Missions.
  • Duty Calls: Complete all Campaign Challenges. To view your Challenges in Offline Mode, you must do so via the Calling Cards page.
  • Tried and True: Earn a score of 35,000 in the Training Simulator.
  • Grim Reaper: Neutralize 2000 hostiles.
  • Full Honors: Earn all Campaign Decorations.

We have compiled a fully supplementary guide for this, showing how to earn all Accolades, Challenges, and everything else for these Decorations. It is currently in progress, but all of the Accolades are available already: Personal Decorator Guide ~ Accolades, Challenges, Decorations

2. Striving for excellence. Dedicated to Excellence - Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores
You need to purchase all the cyber cores and improve them.

3. Techno-Advantage. Armament Superiority - Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.

11. Reaper. Grim Reaper - Neutralize 2000 hostiles.
Kill 2000 enemies

12. Full honors. Full Honors - Earn all Campaign Decorations.
Via Options, viewing all campaign challenges, the "missions", "weapons" and "career" tabs should be completely closed. Medals 1-11 must also be received.

In the “career” tab there is a test “complete the combat training mode at the realism difficulty level” - an example of passing without the glitch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOjUfYCG_H8

Update: Glitch for completing the training mode on a realist, patch 1.03 - the glitch works
The essence of the glitch:
ATTENTION! Both players must complete mission #3 of the campaign before using this glitch!!!
1. The host, together with the second player, enters the shelter through the lobby;
The host must enter the shelter, he must have the difficulty set to realistic, if not, then he selects the difficulty, confirms and re-enters the shelter;
2. The host sits in any chair and does not choose anything, waits;
3. The second player leaves the lobby and joins the host through the friends tab in the PS4 menu;
4. The second player sees the sitting host and tries to sit in his chair, button not highlighted. The task is to approach and hold if the animation does not go through and the second player does not sit in the host’s chair, then he must leave the lobby and repeat the steps until the animation does not start and he does not sit in the chair;
5. When the Host and the second player are in the same chair, both should start the training approximately simultaneously;
6. After the start of the training, you will be in the same arena. In fact, opposite each other, in front of each of you there will be a ball - “start the mission”;
7. The second player starts the mission, the host also starts the mission;

Then the second player can simply die, and the first (host) will be immortal until the end of the training. Approximate time per person - 15 minutes. The main thing is that the second player does not press the button after death, but waited until the end, i.e. I stupidly put the joy aside and went to drink tea/smoke.

Dancing with a tambourine - a la “sit in a chair” is not that long, I sat in the host’s chair on the 3rd attempt, when they did it for me, they sat in my chair on the first try, on the orga they write that 7 attempts are not the limit.

Regarding pumping up all weapons, you also need to pump up the Annihilator pistol, 150 kills, but there seems to be a bug for modules, so just do 200 kills.

How to quickly upgrade weapons in a campaign - Video

We leave the last large robot at the gate alive.
After getting kills, go through the checkpoint (open the gate and go through it) and then you can restart the mission again.

For those who have already completed the game and unlocked all the cores, special cards, and weapons.
To complete training for 35,000 points, I advise you to use the Dingo machine gun. It is fast enough, with a capacious magazine and good damage. It helps a lot to deal with little things. I recommend placing Repulsive Armor in the TAK-KOM cells (helps you ignore missiles, they ricochet) and a Sensory Buffer. I used C4 as an explosive. Convenient, threw it where needed, blew it up when needed. I also recommend using the Superiority special card (the main weapon as a second one) and replacing the pistol with a machine gun. Of the kernels, I recommend using Improved Hacking and only hacking all AOPs. He hacked it, took out everyone around him, and destroyed it. Pass on Novobrite. With this tactic, I got 35577 points the first time.

Patch 1.31
The glitch works with training; it is not necessary for it to complete mission 3.

Immortal Fame
After death, you can close the game using the PS button. And click continue in the main menu. The medal will be issued. Verified. I died from missions 3 to 11 and shut down the game.

important: when completing the game on a veteran without dying, do not change the difficulty level, otherwise the reward will not be counted, but if you changed it, then replay those missions that you completed before changing the difficulty level.

The easiest way to farm kills from weapons is in the server room where you need to throw bombs. Go to this mission and blow up all the towers except the last one. Robots will go on forever. Stand on the pipes (L-shaped near the boxes with cartridges) and calmly shoot the robots. Since after the destruction of all the towers they are very small, they come up to you and just stand there, since they cannot reach you) In this way, it took me about 20 minutes to use shotguns.

I made patch 1.19 with two joys, it still works:
We connect the second gamepad, go to the main account, select the third mission in the dark (that’s what it’s called) as the main one, select the realism difficulty and start the game, sit down in the main chair with the main one, run up with the additional one and try to sit next to the main one with a square, press and hold it a couple of times, if not sat down - we exit on the main one, save and exit, it should come out with two joys, we start again and try the same way - we sit down on the main one, and try with the additional one. We go out and run it again and try. I got it right about the seventh time. I hope I explained it clearly.

passing on a veteran without dying, if you suddenly kill an ally with toast and the checkpoint loads, this does not count as death, and you can continue to play. I checked it myself, they gave me a reward

The glitch still works on boxing to this day.
On a Twinkie you don’t need to complete the third mission, just the basics.
I did it in a split screen.
Click on company as the main one, connect to the second joy
We select the implementation, select the third mission.
We sit down in the chair with the base, run up with a twink from the side of the chair and press X, sit down in the chair.
We start at the same time, as a twin we fall off the edge of the map, fall from the end of the map into the abyss.
We click on the ball and hit everyone with hand-to-hand combat except the equipment.

With regards to eternal glory, the description is incorrect, you should not use chickpoints, the restart killed you, the restart killed an ally, using the above save load method

In the hypocenter it is much more convenient to level up weapons, it’s faster, less stressful, you don’t have to aim and so on, on wolves pistols, for example, like shotguns, you can’t really level up, but here you can also upgrade all the remaining skills that you didn’t accumulate kills during the course of the story

As of 10/20/2017, the combat dive glitch is still relevant.
I did it with 2 joysticks. Nothing was completed on profile 2. The main condition is that both profiles have a PS+ subscription.
Otherwise, everything is the same: difficulty level - realism, mission choice - 3rd (in the dark).
I sat down to the main profile on the 2nd try.

Regarding completing the medal for combat training worth 35,000 points. I didn’t manage to sit in the same chair with a friend for the glitch (I played on PS5, maybe it depends on that).
You can complete it on any difficulty, I did it on medium. The dragon took the weapon. If you kill people in the head and go through the waves as quickly as possible, they will give you a lot of points. By the last wave there are easily more than 35,000. I didn’t leave the starting points, I shot back from cover. He ran away under invisibility if the warriors came too close.
But to achieve immersion you still need to go through the realist (points will no longer be important). I went through one step by step according to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6omB...=Spiderrichard . The main thing is not to take risks and hide. Hijacking flying drones is very helpful, but you need to constantly move so as not to be shot down

Each weapon needs to kill as many as it takes to unlock the last camouflage. Just in case, fill your pistols with 200 kilos and MZG 300.
You need to get kills with ALL weapons. Including XM-53 and BlackCell. With the help of BlackCell it is difficult to get 300 kills, but those killed hand-to-hand with this weapon count, just in case, install the Control module so that you kill not with your fist or electricity, but with a grenade launcher. All weapons in the mission Rise and Fall are boosted perfectly, at the moment when you need to blow up the ground with spikes.
Kill statistics for each weapon can be viewed by clicking on the menu Options ->Barracks
->Career->Weapons.

Also, don’t worry about the inconsistency between the Badge 3 test and the Call of Duty medal. When I knocked out the Captainarmus medal, the Call of Duty and Full Honors medals were dropped along with it, and accordingly I received the Award Badge 3 test and received platinum.

There is no need to farm kills on the Annihilator and MZG. Apparently, it was necessary before due to the imperfection of the trophy, but now it is not necessary. Received a medal (“Captenarmus”) on October 6, 2018.
