How to unlock the Personal Decorator achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide
This achievement has a bug that forbids you from unlocking it. Please be aware: if you get the bug--which at this point no one is quite sure about how you get it--you will not be able to unlock the achievement, ever.
Okay, before we get into what is required for this stupid achievement, there are a couple-of-ground rules and info; FAQ's and un-realistic/realistic expectations if you will:
1. If you cannot finish the 'training simulator' on 'realistic' first, then don't even bother going for this achievement.
2. The list is in order of appearance, not in-order of how you're going to get the decorations, however, I will give an idea of how you'll unlock them as you progress.
3. Be prepared to join some gaming sessions -- if you don't like people this achievement probably isn't for you.
4. This achievement will probably take you (depending on skill and luck) somewhere between 40-80 hours to complete.
5. Go and finish the game before reading this solution, please. I've kept it spoiler free, but you'll understand it better after the game is over.
6. This achievement can be glitchy.
7. Now, I'm only human, which means I'm sure there's a bucket-ton of spelling and grammar mistakes that I didn't notice amongst all this writing, and I'm sorry.
8. Please send me a Private Message with any questions, info, details and problems instead of spamming them in the comments section, thanks (make sure to click the drop-down menu underneath my Gamerpic): left 4 zaneage
9. Finally, a special thanks to everyone that made this solution possible: OdinElite, Whaticles, Tweaky666, SwelterinBeaver, Gavitize, EaseAndInspire, Spiderrichard, xx Kenshira xx, FEAR LEGEND81, A Devient Hero, KillerZ x Ace, WACKY WOOKlEE, Lucas Jai, Sighris, DinDono and everyone that commented!
You will earn (well, at least should be earning) these decorations in-order as follows ("1." being the first decoration, and "12." being the last (the last 3 decorations all unlock at once)):
1. Chronicler
2. Legendary Service
3. Heroic Service
4. Tried and True
5. Dedicated to Excellence
6. Armament Superiority
7. Grim Reaper
8. Immortal Fame
9. Above and Beyond
10. Master of Arms
11. Duty Calls
12. Full Honors
Anyway, lets begin:
Okay, so this achievement is a big one, and is going to take you a while -- so, prepare for tediousness. To start off, this achievement is very similar to Black ops 2's 'Giant Accomplishment' achievement, in which you were required to do challenges throughout the campaign, Black ops 3 however has upped the ante.
Here are the requirements for this achievement (PS if you want to check the status of the achievement, go to your room in the mission briefing area (the area where you can edit your weapons, play training, upgrade Cyber Cores, etc), go into your room and you'll see an empty cabinet (unless you unlocked one of the medals already) and click , you will see these requirements):
If at any point you want to check how many kills/collectibles/mission scores/accolades without having to go into a campaign game press from the main menu of multiplayer/campaign/zombies, then twice so that you get to Barracks, press campaign, press weapons/collectibles/mission scores/accolades for any information on what you've missed or what you need to get done throughout the campaign.

Master of Arms: Earn all Campaign Weapons, Attachments, and Camos.
Earn is the key word here. Unlock all the weapons and unlock all the attachments/camos associated with that weapon. So for example on the Kuda you'll need to get to the max rank to get all attachments and 650 kills for all camos. For the rest of the weapons you'll need to rank up throughout the campaign. The last weapon you unlock is at level 20. In total you'll need a whopping 17,750+ kills for all the camos on all the weapons. Secondary weapons count! The weapon level will come to you naturally as you go for the camo's.
Below I will list 3 places where farming kills is most effective:
"3." is without-a-doubt the fastest method on the internet: you can get 3 guns finished in an hour. Please use this method over all the others -- the other methods are there in-case you get bored.
1. In the mission 'Rise and Fall',
2. In the final mission, 'Life' you'll come to a section where there's a lot of enemies, after dropping down from a crashed aeroplane head left (make sure to avoid all enemies until you get to a room with an ammo box), the room is located in the middle of the area on the left, walk in through the door and they'll be another door in front of you. now enemies will be dropping down from above so just slightly peak out and shoot them as they drop. This should net you a fair amount of kills while still being safe, if you need to change classes at any point run back to the area where you dropped down from and change classes there.
3. In the same area as previously mentioned kill the big mech thingy (forgot what it's called) at the start of the area (from where you dropped down earlier). As soon as it dies you'll get a checkpoint, from there run all the way to the left (as far as you can go), and you'll reach a little room with two entrances, the robots will be coming out of the two spawn stations in front of you. This method is extremely fast, however it is very risky. Do it at your own risk, beware of the talons that fly in from time-to-time. Special thanks to OdinElite for pointing this out in the comments.
If you die you will lose all progress since the last checkpoint!
Special thanks to Whaticles for pointing this out in the comments: "Saving and quitting saves progess. If you die, you can even press start quickly and save and quit to save any progress"
Special thanks to Tweaky666 who reports that, the Annihilator Pistol and the War Machine are required for the decoration. If you're unsure about how many kills you have -- go to the 'Barracks' (refer to above).
Special thanks to SwelterinBeaver for pointing out that if you wanted to knockout 2 birds with one stone, you can: "Wanted to point out two things that may help with the kills for the camo, if someone uses the overkill (think it is called that) wildcard available at level 20 you can work on two primary weapons instead of a secondary weapon. (Could be worth adding how to select this as it took me a while to find it, go to the armory select which the five set ups you want to change, move down past the tactical and lethal grenades and select the wildcard)"
I highly recommend doing 'Duty Calls' and 'Master of Arms' simultaneously.
I'd finish 2-4 guns (roughly 1500 kills) before saving and quitting, just to be safe.
For anyone encountering glitches with this decoration:
Special thanks to Gavitize for pointing this out for anyone that doesn't have this decoration: "I finally got it :) lets go, If you do not have the camo accolade, start up a combat immersion and get a kill with the Annihilator and then kill yourself. Then restart your console and then load the game back up. Once loaded enter a safe house and it should work."

Dedicated to Excellence: Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores.
For this you'll need to upgrade each Cyber Core twice at the Cyber Core table. You'll need a total of 42 fabrication points, which can be earned through playing the campaign, unlocking accolades and unlocking camos. The three classes you'll need to max out are: Control, Martial, and Chaos with 14 points in each. You'll know they've been fully upgraded when there's two yellow arrows pointing up on each of the Cyber Core's.
Armament Superiority: Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.
Do the same thing you did in Dedicated to Excellence for this one. You will need 38 fabrication points to unlock everything. The last weapon you unlock will be the 'Gorgan' at level 20 (Max level).
Unlock all the weapons first, then lethals and tacticals', and then finally the CyberCombat Abilities.

Heroic Service: Complete the Campaign on the Veteran difficulty setting.
Just finish the game on Veteran, simple. Recommend doing this with a group of 4 people to make it easier.
Is stackable with Legendary Service and Immortal Fame.
Read Legendary Service and Immortal Fame for some tips and tricks.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
Legendary Service: Complete the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty setting.
Take it slow, very slow; make sure you kill all the enemies in the area before advancing throughout the whole game -- this doesn't work in some areas, however.
Everyone should equip 'Emergency Reserve'.
Have a player at the back reviving players, don't run off, always stick together, equip 'Emergency Reserve' in the create-a-class menu, it is possible to do this solo but I strongly encourage you to team up with 3 other players.
There will be sections of the game where it seems impossible, e.g. the end of
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
Immortal Fame Complete every mission in the game at least once on Veteran difficulty without restarting from a checkpoint.
I've (with the help of others) included two methods to tackling this decoration: one being a solo method and the other being a co-op method, obviously I recommend co-op, but the solo one is there if you need it.
Solo Method:
Recommend following the tips in 'Legendary Service' to make things a little easier.
Special thanks to EaseAndInspire for this helpful tip for solo players: if you save and quit the moment you die, you can resume game from the main menu and it still counts as never using a checkpoint. Now of course this only works if youre playing on your main playthroughs and getting the "progress has been saved" at the top of the screen when you hit a checkpoint. And also the emergency reserve thing works wonders too, as you get a new one every time you reach a select Loadout box during the mission. Anyways just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who might be having trouble.
Co-op Method:
Do it with 4 players and in the event that you all die, restart the mission. Recommend following the tips in 'Legendary Service' to make things a little easier.
Be prepared for un-expecting glitches that randomly pop-up and stop you from continuing through the level, or evening finishing.
Its been reported by users in the comments that this decoration hasn't unlocked for them. The general consensus has come to the conclusion that:
1. The host got the achievement, and the other 3 players in the party have not got it (some users have reported 2 out of 4 players getting it). If you were one of the people that did not receive the achievement, replay the first mission and/or replay any mission you think might not have counted.
2. If you lag/disconnect from a game at any point during your run-through this decoration then restart the mission from the main menu.
3. If you all die during a mission it's best to restart from the main menu.
If none of these are helpful unfortunately you'll have to wait until the latest patch for a fix.

Above and Beyond: Complete all Accolades for all Missions.
At your home base/mission debriefing place, go to the 'Mission Record Vault' (always located right next to the door before a mission) and press so that you go to 'Accolades'. Here you'll see all the upcoming accolades for the upcoming mission. I suggest you do most of these on the easiest difficulty. For the points, difficulty doesn't matter, just aim for the head often and play on solo and you should get it every mission.
All credit goes to Christopher Buffa at PrimaGames.com for the text guides, and all credit goes to NonStopTrophies for the video guides and all credit goes to Spiderrichard for the video with speech guides.
Special thanks to xx Kenshira xx for pointing out the Prima Guide and FEAR LEGEND81 for pointing out the video guides in the comments.
All the guides together:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO51oYEMWYBcky6quDFJS... (Video Guide with speech)
The three different guides I listed above all serve a different purpose and cater to different peoples needs, preferences, and helps them better understand the accolades at hand. It is highly recommended that you watch both Youtube guides before the mission to get a good idea of how to get the accolades.
Its also with mentioning: read most, if not all the comments in the comment section of the vides -- there's some incredibly useful alternatives to some of the ones' shown in the videos.
If you miss any accolades, don't worry, this can be done on as many playthrough's as you like.
This decoration is one of the longest ones -- I suggest mixing up with 'Master of Arms' (read above).
Special thanks to A Devient Hero for an incorrect link!

Duty Calls: Complete all Campaign Challenges.
From the multiplayer/campaign/zombies main menu's press , than once, then click on campaign to see three different categories: Missions, Tools of the Trade and Career.
Missions:
Very simple, just finish every mission in the game on either Hardened, Veteran or Realistic. This will come either naturally or when you're going for Immortal Fame
Tools of the Trade:
All credit goes to KillerZ x Ace who has made an extensive guide on this section of the challenge:
Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III
My only recommendation is to do some of these challenges while doing 'Master of Arms'
Career:
Basically the section where you are required to complete an X amount of things in order for completion: accolades, decorations, fabrication kits, etc.
Don't worry! One of the challenges requires you to get an X amount of decorations in order for it to unlock, it skips one when (whatever your second or third last decoration is) unlocked and just unlocks all of them at once.
Now, the training simulator…:
There's a lot of ways of tackling this challenge, but this should be the first thing you get out-of the way:
Special thanks to WACKY WOOKlEE for pointing out this guide in the comments. All the credit goes to BeatminazYT for the video and the setup:
Setup:
Primary: Gorgon with 6 attachments - Reflex, Grip, Quickdraw, Stock, Extended Mag, FMJ
Secondary: War Machine
Lethal: Semtex
Tactical: Shock Charge
Tac-Rig: Traversal Enchancement & Repulsor Armor
Video:
Special thanks to Lucas Jai for this helpful guide he posted in the comments: "Combat Simulator on Realistic (Invincible method) - You need a friend, or a second controller, I'll speak from a second controller POV, but just sub a friend in instead if it applies.
Go into the campaign menu (not in a safehouse) and load in your second controller for co-op play. Choose to "Select Mission' and select 'In Darkness', you should now be in the "reply mission" menu, just hit to begin. You'll go through the cutscene and end up in the safehouse for that story-arc. Now, bring both controllers over to the combat simulator and set it to Realistic difficulty, YOU sit first, on whatever chair and have your dummy sit, (AFTER YOU'RE SEATED AND IN THE MENU TO CUSTOMIZE LOADOUT/BEGIN) on the same chair. You'll see a weird animation glitch (not super noticeable) where you'll see the inside of their head/eyebrows. Now, click start on both controllers at THE SAME TIME, if done correctly you'll get a white-screen for several seconds and when the game loads the person who sat first will now be invincible. How do you tell? If you can't see your ammo/open your core powers. You'll still be able to activate the rounds, so just go through killing your way to the achievement, remember to pick up a rocket from the ammo-crates if you forgot to bring your own. Now, what about your dummy? Personally, I had some problems with the challenge unlocking with the dummy there, so, I jumped the dummy off the cliff at the beginning and just had him sit in the 'you failed' screen without exiting the combat simulator till I finished. I don't know if they can actually fully leave or not, but, why risk it.
Note: Sometimes for whatever reason I was unable to start the first wave with the invincible controller, so keep your dummy alive to start the first wave, and then you're fine.
Note: Another plus to kill your friend/dummy is that, it's not MEANT to have two people in there, so the game puts TWO objective spheres, and both CAN be activated for double the wave, it gets frustrating/confusing, so it's easier to just kill the dummy off to let you focus and guarentee you're waves finishing and not theirs."
Here's a glitch method posted by Sighris -- all credit goes to him: Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III
Here's another legit method posted by Purple DinDono -- all credit goes to him for this solution: Solution for Personal Decorator In Call of Duty: Black Ops III
If none of this is helpful, read the comments for this solution; some users have posted some good and helpful tips for anyone struggling.
Special thanks to user xx Kenshira xx for pointing out that: Challenges are not accolades (stupid me).
Tried and True: Earn a score of 35,000 in the Training Simulator.
Again, all credit goes to PowerPyx for this guide:

Full Honors: Earn all Campaign Decorations.
After you've earned all of the above decorations you'll receive your well deserved achievement, congratulations, I applaud you for getting this ridiculous achievement.
This'll be you when it unlocks: http://giphy.com/gifs/UkhHIZ37IDRGo/html5
Anyway, thanks for reading. If you have any comments just post in the comments or send me a PM. Happy Hunting everyone!
(Rewrote for simplicity)
Player 1 = host.
Player 2 = player 2.
1. Have host invite you to a campaign game party.(at menu not in safe house)
2. Have host load up mission 3. (It'll put you in safe house after cutscene)
3. After both load in, looking towards the combat simulator from the barracks, player 2 sit in the right hand chair, then exit chair and host sit in the chair.
4. Have host hover over Begin Immersion while player 2 leaves the game.
5. Player 2 Join back in through your friends tab in the social menu.(hit Y from black ops menu, don't use friends/party snap)
6. After loading in, walk over to the host. If the chair they are in spins towards you like it is empty, you can sit in it.
7. Both players hit Begin Immersion at the same time. Both should load in.
8. Player with God mode will not have an ammo counter on their hud. Player without God mode should die during wave 1 so the God mode player can finish the combat immersion.
9. After God mode player finishes combat immersion, reverse the steps, having your friend do everything you had done so you both finish it.
***This is purely to help people, not sure why people are negative voting.***

I can confirm this works 100%
I have also posted a video of me farming kills for weapon camo's at the bottem of this guide. In my opinion it's the best spot for farming weapon kills (and CyberCore ability kills). It's in the mission "Rise and Fall" where you're supposed to use your Spike Launcher. At the end of the video, I'll show you that I had 200+ kills within 5 minutes. Obviously, play on Recruit difficulty to make your life a lot easier.
I have written down a list with all the challenges needed for this assignment + the best way to get them. My advise is to use your abilities as much as you can throughout the campaign when you are going for: Accolades, a certain difficulty or farming kills for your weapon camo's because this will narrow down the process significantly. The best place to farm your ability kills is in the mission "Rise and Fall" when you get your Spike Launcher and you have destroyed 3 tunnel systems, because the enemies will spawn infinitely (there are multiple ammo crates around the place if you need ammo).
NOTE: Once you have reached level 20 (maximum level) in the campaign they let you switch to different CyberCore abbilities during your game. This makes this challenge much easier, because you can switch right to another ability when you have finished one. You can upgrade your Core abilities at your safehouse by selecting them in the CyberCore station. This makes your abilities significantly stronger/better and it reduces cooldown times.
You can check your progress by pressing in the main menu --> Challenges --> Campaign --> Tools of the Trade. Unfortunately, you can't access this menu while being in your Safehouse.
In order to use your CyberCore ability hold down to choose your ability and hold down both at the same time to use it.
The list:
Control Core Mastery III - Use Control CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.
Martial Core Mastery III - Use Martial CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.
Chaos Core Mastery III - Use Chaos CyberCore abilities against 500 enemies.
It doesn't matter which Core ability you use, as long if it is from the right Core tree.
The best abilities to use are: Terminal Breakdown (Control Core), Mass Weapon Lockout (Martial Core) and Mass Overload (Chaos Core). These abilities target multiple enemies at a time. Easily done while grinding weapon kills, just use your ability as soon as it is available.
Commandeered III - Kill 100 enemies using Remotely Hijacked robots.
Remote Hijack is a Control Core ability. Simply hijack any robot (Talon, Cerberus, R.A.P.S, A.S.P, P.A.W.W.S or Turret) and get 100 kills total.
Fast as Lightning III - Kill 100 enemies with a follow up Rapid Strike melee attack.
Rapid Strike is a Martial Core ability. For a kill to count, it must be the second or third kill in sequence - the first rapid strike doesn't count. Therefore, only use it when there are several enemies in close proximity. You have to be set to the Martial Core to be able to do this, it doesn't matter which ability you have it on however.
There is an achievement you can get with this ability: "Bliff! Bap! KaPow!" it requires you to kill 3 enemies in a melee combo (a rapid strike) - worth 10G.
Inferno III - Kill 100 enemies in the explosion from Immolated enemies.
Immolation is a Chaos Core ability. It sets robots on fire causing them to explode, and if upgraded to Adaptive Immolation, it will blow up the explosives on human enemies. The immolated enemy doesn't count, only the enemies killed by the explosion, so use it on groups of robots or humans. The best place to do this is in the mission "Hypocenter" when you are trying to kill/save Diaz. The robots will spawn infinitely as long as you don't blow up the 3rd core. You can train them behind you to make them easier targets and simply use (Adaptive)Immolation on the center robot.
Juiced III - Debilitate 135 enemies with an electrostatic discharge.
For this, you must use Homing Surge, Terminal Breakdown or Ravage Core, which are Control Core abilities. Use Homing Surge and Ravage Core on robots in groups to debilitate multiple at a time. Can be stacked with 3 Laws Compliant III.
Use Terminal Breakdown on groups of human enemies to fry their brains.
Shockwave III - Knock down or kill 100 enemies using Concussive Wave.
Concussive Wave is a Martial Core ability. Simply get kills with it or knock enemies down, nothing special.
Pulverized III - Pulverise 100 enemies using Overwhelming Force.
Overwhelming Force is a Martial Core ability, which becomes Unstoppable Force when upgraded. Charge through groups of enemies for this one.
There is an achievement you can get with this ability: "Rolling Heavy" it requires you to kill 5 enemies using one burst of Unstoppable Force - worth 10G.
3 Laws Compliant III - Using Ravage Core, debilitate or kill 100 enemies with a volatile power core.
Ravage Core is a Control Core ability. Press when near a robot to rip it's core out and throw it like a grenade. Only enemies effected by the core will count. You have to be set to the Control Core to be able to do this. Just like Rapid Strike, it doesn't matter which ability you have it on. The best place to do this is in the mission "Hypocenter" when you are trying to kill/save Diaz. The robots will spawn infinitely as long as you don't blow up the 3rd core. You can train them behind you to make them easier targets and simply use Ravage Core on the front robot and throw the core between the other robots.
Swarmed III - Kill 125 enemies while they are blinded by Fireflies.
Firefly Swarm is a Chaos Core ability. Use it on human enemies to distract them, then kill them.
Demolition Expert III - Earn 150 kills with explosives.
Self explanatory. Grenades, launchers, barrels, anything that explodes. You will automatically get this while playing campaign.
My video:
If you are having trouble and you're dying a lot, try to take it slow. The enemies will spawn infinitely. I was a bit to greedy and that almost lead to my dead. Use your invisibility wisely and if you are hurt and have no invisibility, take cover behind the concrete blocks on the right. You can also use your Firefly Swarm instead of your invisibility, it might even be more effective. Before you start this mission, make sure you have the Tac-Rig "Copycat" in your active slot. Now, you will be able to pick up any gun from the ground and level dat gun as soon as you are finished with your primary weapon. Why? Well, there is no mobile armory in that place so it would be a waste of time to quit the mission and start it all over with a new weapon. If you press during your game, you can track how many kills you have. Remember, you also need 150 kills with the Annihilator and 300 kills with the War Machine (the camo's for these guns are invisible but they do count for the assignment). IF YOU DIE WHILE FARMING KILLS, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR PROGRESS! SO MAKE SURE AFTER YOU FEEL YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR WEAPON, YOU TRIGGER THE NEXT CHECKPOINT! Blow up all the tunnels and you will spawn next to a mobile armory, your checkpoint will trigger right there. You can safely quit your game now.
So in total, you will need the following amount of kills with every single gun in the game:
- 650 kills with every Assault Rifle
- 650 kills with every Light Machine Gun
- 650 kills with every Sniper Rifle
- 650 kills with every Shotgun
- 300 kills with every Rocket Launcher
- 150 kills with every Pistol
- 150 kills with the Annihilator & 300 kills with the War Machine
That is 18.250 kills total!
You can track your weapon progress by going to the Weapon Armory in your Safehouse or by going to your Barracks -> Campaign --> Weapons.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really hope that this guide will help you completing the Tools of the Trade assignment. Personally I had some trouble figuring out what to do exactly, because it can be a bit vague, but after a while I figured out what to do.
If you vote down, please tell me why and how I can improve this guide and if you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to ask/explain them in the comments below or in a private message.
I wish all of you the best of luck, this achievement will definitely test your patience and it is up to you to decide how committed you are
First off, on the realistic difficulty, you will die in one shot of every weapon except for warlords and vehicles – which will kill you in two.
You really should be level 20 in campaign before attempting this because it allows you to switch between cybernetics sub-classes at any time which is really important. If you are not level 20 and still wish to attempt it, I would strongly recommend using the control path, as it allows you to use Hijack.
Loadout :
Any primary assault rifle or light-machine gun can work here, Gorgon is very good but not mandatory. You can equip whatever you want on it, but thermal optics works very well as it allows you to see most enemies through light walls. FMJ are also required, and extended magazines works well against warlords.
My gear :
Primary : Gorgon + thermal optics + extended mag + FMJ + grip + fast mags + rapid fire
Secondary: War-machine
Lethal: Trip-mine
Tactical: Shock charge or EMP grenade
TAC-RIG: Traversal Enhancement (not needed) & Repulsor Armor
Wildcards: Primary gunfighter 1 & 2 & 3
You will encounter several types of enemies, robots and humans, that will increase in number and firepower as you make your way to the last wave. They are listed below:
– Human infantry : the basic enemy, can carry sniper rifles, shotguns or assault rifles; they are deadly from all distances but are very easy to take out, they often spawn in great numbers. Firefly Swarm and Sonic A.P. will kill them in the most efficient way. They will often see you when invisible.
– Human shield infantry : basically an infantry but with a riot shield that cannot be shot through, aim for the left arm or the feet. They can't climb the platforms so they will take the long way around – use it at your advantage and place mines on their path. Never face them directly or death is ensured.
– Warlord : heavy armored human infantry – very similar to the Juggernaut from the Modern Warfare series – moves slowly but fires while moving and will take you out in two shots. They have a blast shield preventing any explosive to be fired or thrown at them. Aim for the head for extra damage, always fight them from afar; use Firefly Swarm or Control's Terminal Breakdown to stun them temporarily.
– G.I.U. (Robot infantry) : the basic robot, can carry assault rifles and shotguns. They are a little bit tougher to kill than their human counterpart but deal the same amount of damage. They can be hacked using Protocol Override to fight alongside you or killed using Immolation (caution: they won't die immediately so be careful when using it).
– Talon-MG : very lightly armored flying vehicle, kills you in two shots and spawns in great numbers. You need to hijack them as soon as possible and kill everything on the map with them; if you can't, you can always turn them allies using Protocol Override or destroy them with Immolation. (fly up using , down using , fire using and zoom using )
– Cerberus : median armor ground vehicle, fire rockets and bullets but moves very slowly. You also need to hijack them as soon as possible and try to kill everything on the map with them; if you can't, you can always turn them allies using Protocol Override or destroy them with Immolation. (fire bullets using , rockets using )
– R.A.P.S. : very lightly armored and very fast kamikaze ground vehicle. Will only spawn on wave 9. They can be destroyed with few shots but not by trip-mines; try to turn them allies using Protocol Override but never hijack them as they are weak and practically never worth hacking.
– P.A.W.W.S. : heavily armored ground vehicle, fire rockets and bullets and moves at a standard pace. Can be shot down quickly with rocket launchers or war-machine or simply with a couple magazines of regular rifles. They won't see you while invisible if you stay far away, so use it at your advantage.
– A.S.P.-C : very heavily armored ground vehicle, fire charged and regular rockets and bullets, moves at a very slow pace. Needs to be shot in the core with bullets in order to be damageable with explosives, otherwise a blast shield will protect it. They won't see you while invisible if you stay far away, so use it at your advantage.
– A.S.P.-ML : the same as the regular A.S.P.-C at the exception they can lock rockets on the player (they will not all be all repulsed by your blast shield).
Now let's begin with the waves themselves. Don't forget to turn the difficulty to realistic before entering the combat immersion.
Round 1 :
x4 human infantry
→ Use Firefly Swarm or Sonic A.P. and take them out as they spawn.
Round 2 :
x6 human infantry
→ Use Firefly Swarm or Sonic A.P. and take them out as they spawn.
Round 3 :
x2 Talon-MG ; x1 Warlord
→ Quickly Remote Hijack one of the talons, take the other one out and the warlord.
Round 4 :
x6 G.I.U.
→ Protocol Override the most possible then take out the remaining ones quickly. If you aren't fast enough, place mines at your platform to secure it.
Round 5 :
x4 Talon-MG ; x3 G.I.U.
→ Hijack one of the talons, then kill the remaining enemies with it.
Round 6 :
x1 P.A.W.W.S. ; x2 Cerberus
→ Hijack one of the cerberuses whilst staying in cover, then kill the remaining enemies with it, prioritize killing the cerberus first.
Round 7 :
x3/4 human infantry ; x3/4 shield infantry ; x3 Cerberus
→ Depending on the spawns, either directly Hijack a cerberus or kill the infantry atop the platform then Hijack into a cerberus anyway; kill the rest of the enemies with the cerberus, prioritize killing the cerberuses first.
Round 8 :
x6 Talon-MG ; x1 A.S.P.-C
→ Hijack one of the talons, kill the rest of them using it, then kill yourself holding X. Stay atop the platform until Camouflage is up, use it to stealthy shoot the repulsor shield of the A.S.P.-C with bullets then use your war-machine to damage it; repeat three or four times. Don't be greedy and wait for your cybernetics to be usable before going out of cover.
Note: The A.S.P.-C will not see you when cloaked if you stay far from it.
ALTERNATIVE : Thanks to StockierHeart : you can shoot the trophy system placed on the "head" of the A.S.P, so you dont need camo to get him: just go near the edge where you can see only the "globe" and wont get shot.
Round 9 :
x7 G.I.U. ; x5 R.A.P.S.
→ This wave is rough. You need to use Protocol Override at the very beginning on two R.A.P.S.'s and then take out the visible R.A.P.S.'s and infantry close to them as quickly as possible while staying in cover. If done correctly, the R.A.P.S.'s will have detonated into one another and you will be left only with G.I.U.'s. Take your time, use Protocol Override as soon as possible, and place trip-mines securing the platform you are at.
Note: if you have failed to take out all the R.A.P.S.'s, wait for them in a corner and react fast when you see them, you also can Override them even if they are on their way to blow you up. You can hear them as the are getting closer as well as your screen begins to shake off lightly.
Round 10 :
x4 Talon-MG ; x2 Warlord
→ Use Remote Hijack on a talon, kill the rest of them. Stay onto the platform in the middle of the map to take cover and then wipe out the two warlords from up there.
Round 11 :
x4 G.I.U. ; x2 P.A.W.W.S.
→ Override two G.I.U.'s, they will make a good decoy. Kill the remaining infantry as quickly as possible; check your kills in the scoreboards () to see if you've killed all the robots, if you haven't, be on the lookout for them and possibly place mines. When only the P.AW.W.S'.s remain, finish them using Camouflage and war-machine.
Round 12 :
x5/6 human infantry ; x3 shield infantry ; x1 Warlord
→ Place mines on the paths of the shield infantry before the round starts. As soon as it starts, use Firefly Swarm and kill as many enemies as possible on the platform (check your kills on the scoreboard, this is very important !). When the warlord is stunned by the Swarm take him out by aiming at the head.
Note: if you have failed and the warlord is on its way climbing your platform, use Camouflage and go to another platform, then use Firefly Swarm and take him out. You really should take your time here as it is the second hardest wave on the entire simulation.
EDIT: Terminal Breakdown is even better than Swarm versus Warlords, as it activates instantly.
Round 13 :
x8/9 human infantry ; x2 Warlord
→ Very similar to round 12, only this time use mines on your platform on "1st floor" (or 2nd floor, the one just above the ground floor so we understand each other) where enemies climb. Use Firefly Swarm and take out as many infantry as you can then switch platform using Camouflage and repeat. This is the hardest wave of the simulation.
EDIT: Terminal Breakdown is even better than Swarm versus Warlords, as it activates instantly.
Round 14 :
x4 Talon-MG ; x2 P.A.W.W.S. ; x1 A.S.P.-ML
→ Hijack a talon as soon as the round starts, then take everything out except the A.S.P.-ML because you can't. Use Camouflage to shoot its core and then use war-machine to damage it. Be very careful when it shoots a missile barrage in the air as it will be locked onto you and you will have to circle around your platform (stay at the top !) to avoid them as your repulsor armor will not repel all the missiles.
Note: you should try to aim for direct impacts with the war-machine on the A.S.P.-ML, this way you can take it out in two passages.
ALTERNATIVE : Thanks to StockierHeart : you can shoot the trophy system placed on the "head" of the A.S.P, so you dont need camo to get him: just go near the edge where you can see only the "globe" and wont get shot.
Round 15 :
x4 Talon-MG ; x4 G.I.U. ; x2 Warlord ; x2 P.A.W.W.S.
→ Quickly Hijack a talon and then use it to kill everything, warlords in priority before the P.A.W.W.S. You should really use the middle platform to stay in cover as much as possible.
Round 16 :
x4 Talon-MG ; x4 G.I.U. ; x2 Warlord ; x2 P.A.W.W.S. ; x1 A.S.P.-ML
→ Basically the same as round 14 except you have to kill more enemies with the talon, which isn't really hard.
Happy frustration guys !
PS: If you guys spot a mistake somewhere, tell me in the comments so I can improve this guide !
Now just hang back and shoot the infinite spawning wolves like I do in the video. Press the back button to check how many kills you're at. Make sure to get a little more than 650 just to be safe. Get 650 with your primary weapon and then use your secondary weapon and either get 150 pistol kills or 300 rocket kills. There's an ammo box to your left, so ammo isn't a problem. The only real problem would be if you fell off the map or killed yourself with a rocket, which is unlikely.
The Annihilator and War Machine don't have any attachments or camos even though the medal specifically says "Weapons, Attachments & Camos", but you still must (For whatever reason) get the required kills with those weapons as well. Just to be safe I did 100 extra kills with the Annihilator and 100 extra kills with the War Machine.
Once you get your kills, you can save & quit the game from the pause menu and all your progress will be saved. If you happen to die, quickly pause and save & quit. If you don't do this fast enough, you will lose progress towards the kills since your last save.
A couple of things to note about this achievement! First, I had to do it twice. The first time it glitched on me. I completed all of the objectives, did all the accolades, all that, and the achievement did not unlock.
Eventually I got the guts to do it again, and wouldn't you know it, it actually did unlock!
So! If the first time it fails, fear not! It can unlock the second time
So when left 4 zaneage says this in his solution
"This achievement has a bug that forbids you from unlocking it. Please be aware: if you get the bug--which at this point no one is quite sure about how you get it--you will not be able to unlock the achievement, ever."
That is not necessarily true.
I do not want to tell you 100% that it will unlock for you if it did not the first time, but I will tell you that it did for me, and it did for at least one other person as well.
Things that I did:
Combat immersion on realistic glitch
Cheat code for extra Fabrication Kits
Those seem to be legit, so don't worry about using those
Also, I got my final unlocks by finishing a level, not saving and quitting
I also made sure my last unlock was for a calling card, and not another accolade. I was suspicious that in my first run through of the game I tried to unlock too much at once at the end and I ended up glitching it. So the last thing I did this time was complete a level and finish up my 100 overwhelming force kills, so that way only 1 thing had to unlock to get my final two accolades. I hope that makes sense, I can clarify again if that's confusing.
ALWAYS make sure that if you get an accolade, you finish the level! You can save and quit and you will get progress for it on your calling card progress, but I had some problems with that. I got two accolades on Hypocenter, the ones that involved sniping people at the beginning, and then I quit out. I did some other levels, and later on I came back to Hypocenter to do my Veteran run with no deaths. Only after I beat that did I get the end level unlock screen showing that I had completed those accolades. I had beaten several levels since then, so it made me worried. It is possible that you can unlock some accolades but keep them in a "limbo" state by not finishing the level. In a weird turn of events, I ended up getting the calling card for completing all of the accolades when I still had 2 more to get! Everything unlocked normally besides that, but to play it safe make sure that you always finish the level, or restart it from the beginning and run all the way through.
This will take you a minimum of 3 playthroughs, but plan on more than that. This is what I did.
Playthrough 1: Realistic.
That's it. All you need to worry about is getting through the level
Playthrough 2: Recruit accolade run.
This one may end up being the most time consuming, what you need to do is get every single accolade that you can in every level except for the ones that tell you to do it without dying! You want to save those for the end.
----INTERMISSION-----
Kill everything. Upgrade your weapons, get all the attachments and camos, all that. This step will take forever and it's not super enjoyable to strap in. (In my two playthroughs I found that the mission "Life" was the most time efficient for me.)
Playthrough 3: Veteran no restarts
Now, it might actually make more sense to swap playthroughs 1 and 3 and start on veteran for two reasons. 1st, veteran is an easier approach into the game and you don't have everything unlocked at the very beginning.
And 2nd, if you start with veteran you can use the save and quit technique that is mentioned in other solutions to make getting through the levels easier, because you won't have to restart when you die! Pick whichever way you want. I am telling you what I did, but there were a couple times where I wish I had started with veteran and not Realistic.
Now just to play it safe, when you get your final unlock in the campaign, make sure that you only have one thing to unlock. For me it was Overwhelming force kills, like I mentioned. I made sure to get to 100 kills, and then I finished the level (DO NOT SAVE AND QUIT) and then it unlocked, just like it was supposed to the first time!
I hope that helps! Everyone here has great advice, I just wanted to post from my unique experience and encourage others that if it did not unlock the first time, not all is lost. It unlocked for me! It took me over three years from my first attempt to my second, but I'm glad I finally got around to completing this game.
Anyways, you will find my old guide below. This new passage here is to share my experiences with getting "Immortal fame" which I just got a few days ago in August of 2019. Now, all there is left for me to do is leveling up all weapons in campaign. Otherwise I'm done.
I first tried to go for immortal fame solo with the story progression method. This means starting a new game (not mission select) to get midlevel checkpoints and when going down quickly dashboard to avoid dying and restarting. I solo played through the whole game on veteran like this, didn't use checkpoints but at the end didn't get the decoration for immortal fame. Directly afterwards, in August '19, I played through the whole game again with a friend using only mission select. We switched hosts randomly, played the missions in a nonlinear order and also restarted missions with the in game restart option when dying. All of this didn't matter and we both got the "immortal fame" decoration after finishing the last mission which was mission 2 for us.
Therefore I can confirm, that you can get immortal fame using mission select, switching hosts and using the in game restart option.
However you cannot dashboard and restart when you die during a regular campaign progression to avoid playing whole missions again.
My loadout recommendation for immortal fame is using a maxed out Dragon with Thermal Sight and FMJ. This allows you to see and shoot enemies through obstacles. Emergency Reserve (ER) which is a refillable extra life is a must as well. You can refill ER at every ammo crate that allows you to select your load out. Just pick the same load out again and you have refilled your ER. For the boss fight in the second to last mission I highly recommend carrying a maxed out Haymaker as a secondary to get easy kills on the wraths the boss is sending towards you.

Old guide:
This is a guide for, what I believe, is an overlooked bug that can be used as a safegame exploit for some of the accolades. It can be used for most accolades in the form of "kill x enemies / destroy X vehicles... with...". I stumbled on this by accident and have used it on some of the tougher accolades I had problems getting. With this trick, they become insanely easy. I found this rather cheap trick while I was in the last mission of my first playthrough and had gotten some of the accolades already, so the list of accolades I am providing below is not intended to be complete. I found and tested this trick in January 2016 and February 1st was the last time I used it to get the final accolades with it. I expect, this will get patched if the devs find out about it.
Before I get into detail on how it works I have to point out that this trick needs midlevel safepoints to work. Not just checkpoints where you restart when you die but real safegames that you can get back to when you exit to the main menu with "save/quit" and "continue story". That means that it only works on normal campaign progression and not with "mission select". When you start a mission from mission select and then "save/exit" it will only save your overall stats but not your checkpoint.
The best way to explain how it works is to use an example:
The last accolade on the mission "provocation" (mission 4) is "vehicular slaughter: destroy 5 trucks". To get this accolade you have to destroy 5 trucks during the final boat ride at the very end of the level. What makes this hard is the fact that there are only five trucks and they rush by rather quick. So if you miss one you are screwed. If you started the mission with "mission select" you will have to restart the whole mission again because when you finally get out of the boat, the mission is over and you don't even have the chance to kill yourself to go back to the last checkpoint. When you use normal campaign progression instead, you will be able to "save/exit" right before the boat ride and create a savegame. When you "continue" from the campaign menu you will continue right before the boat ride and will be able to retry without having to replay the whole mission. Now if you miss one of the trucks, you can just "save/exit" before the boat ride ends (where a new checkpoint is) and then "continue" to retry. While this is already a huge improvement it is not yet the exploit I'm talking about. Let's say you manage to destroy the first 2 trucks but miss the third one which is quite hard to hit. You therefore "save/quit" and "continue" to replay the boat sequence. When you get back into the game the accolade description will say that you have 2 kills already although you are restarting the boat sequence again. This is what I suppose is a bug because usually the progress towards this accolade should be reset when you go back to the beginning of the sequence. If you would die and be put back to the last checkpoint your stats would be reset as well. So what you can do now is just destroy the first 2 easy trucks again and then "save/exit" again. Then when you "continue" you will have 4 destroyed trucks toward this accolade and restart the boat sequence again. Now you will only have to get one more and the accolade is done although you haven't even "seen" all the trucks yet.
For me this worked on a lot of other accolades in the form of "kill x...". Although my example has been a boat / rail shooter sequence it works on regular gameplay as well. I also used it on "Lotus Towers" to get the accolade where you have to get 10 kills with R.A.P.S. or the one where you have to kill 10 robots that are charging towards you (the ones with the flashing stomach). The latter accolade is hard to get because Hendricks usually takes some kills away from you and there are not many more than 10 of those robots. With this trick you just kill the first 3 or so, "save/exit" before you reach the next checkpoint and then "continue" a few times. What was a hard accolade becomes rather easy and cheap. The hardest part about it is enduring the loading times over and over. I also used it on the last mission where you have to kill a certain amount of human enemies with explosive canisters and grenades. In fact, that is where I accidentially found this "bug". Where it didn't work for me is the car ride in the first mission. I had a hard time destroying 12 trucks and tried to use the exploit there but it didn't work for me. I had to get all trucks legit.
There are two distinct things we need to do, that we might have a tendency to confuse:
- The "untouched" accolade
- The "Immortal fame" decoration
you can get one without getting the other, as they are very different things.
- untouched is granted after successfully running a whole level without dying
you can use emergency reserve (revive)
you CANNOT use save & quit after dying as it will register the accolade as void
I suggest to run this in recruit difficulty and take emergency reserve
as already mentioned, we can grab new emergency reserve perks by changing to a different loadout in the loadout box (present throughout the mission) and changing back to one with emergency reserve
- immortal fame is granted after successfully running each and every single mission without reloading from a checkpoint, in veteran difficulty
you can use emergency reserve (revive)
you can use save & quit as soon as you die and it will still count
you will not get the untouched accolade (if you have to save & quit) but you will get the decoration after completing all missions using this method, and then you can win the accolade on a separate, easier difficulty game
note:
TL;DR
emergency reserve and save&quit method do wonders for this cheevo overall as it will save your collectibles, intel items, weapon kills, immortal fame progress, just NOT the untouched accolade
First, get all the Decorations that you can. I got 9/11 done with the exception of Master of arms (Earn all campaign weapons, attachments and camoes) and Duty calls (Complete all campaign challenges)
NOTE: When I was doing all these medals it was before the first patch so the XM-53 DF rocket launcher kills were not registering and the Above and Beyond decoration (Complete all Accolades for all missions) wasn't unlocking. After the patch the rocket kills counted and the decoration unlocked for me. I say this because some people are finding that their accolades decoration still in a bit buggy, but mine was fine.
Then I started to complete the weapon kills to unlock all the attachments and camoes for all the gun and the challenges. I found the best place to do weapon kills was in 'Rise and Fall' where you get the Spike Launcher. All the enemies funnel out of one hole.
Saving and quitting once you've got the kills does save your progress. Same as if you die, and you quickly save and quit you won't lose anything. The only problem is that when you are up to changing guns you have to restart the mission as there is no point where you can change Loadouts.
A good place for the Black Cell Rocket Kills is in 'Life'. At the beginning, just after the Parking Lot area, there will be 2 ASP's that you have to destroy. Destroy the first and make your way to the buildings about half way up on either the left or right. There will be a Ammo Cache in both where you can constantly resupply. Now the Talons here are continuously spawning so whip out your Black Cell and get the 300 kills you need.
Once I did every gun that had attachments and camoes, I got 150 kills with the Annihilator and 300 kills with the War Machine. I'm not sure the war machine was necessary, but i just wanted to be sure. Edit: (you can track these from the main menu. From the main menu, if you press and go to 'Barracks' then click on campaign then weapons, there will be a list with every gun. I'll put an edit in, thanks for bringing that up
Once this is done, you MUST either complete the level or die in the Combat Immersion. This will bring up the screen showing you whatever things you've unlocked and if you've completed all weapons it will show you Master of Arms.
At this stage my Duty Calls Decoration had the Decorated III challenge at 10/11 and I had completed every other challenge.
I then Save and Quit, and did a hard restart of my console (holding down the power button for 10 seconds or double clicking the home button, scroll down to settings and go restart)
I then loaded Black ops back up, loaded campaign and went to my Safe house and before I even loaded in, this achievement popped.
Now for more details about the specifics on this achievement, use the left 4 zaneage solution. It's a very good, in depth solution. This is just for those who want/need to know how to get the last few Decorations.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Jl3YzdtWCeko0cEUUuGi...
I've found that the best farming location for the camo kills is on the last mission "Life". You need to the point where you hit the courtyard. You'll need to take out the first "spider bot", then take out the helicopter. This will enable the infinitely spawning robots in the back left corner. Head up the left side until you hit a room with a ammo box, you will be running back here to refill quite a bit. Continue heading up to the next room on the left, you'll see two robot spawns. You'll need to kill them if they have already spawned but they will now forever spawn out of these doors as long as you DON'T KILL the next "spider bot". Get as many kills as you can then save and quit and repeat. I highly recommend using the revive perk because if you go down, you will lose all progress that you made killing the robots over and over.
GLITCHED (Requires the 1.06 patch to unlock correctly)
While doing Heroic Service, Legendary Service and Immortal Fame, the game may not track your completion of some missions. If this happens, you'll simply have to replay missions until it unlocks, as there is no tracking.
This is, to put it simply, the make or break for the platinum. There are 12 Decorations available in the campaign which are viewable in your Safehouse by going to the bedroom and interacting with Service Record (if you are playing in co-op, there will be a Service Record for each player - your Service Record is the one in the room you spawn in). These will cover doing pretty much everything in the campaign, and is a huge grind along with having three difficult requirements: Completing Veteran with no checkpoints, completing Realistic and completing all 16 rounds of Combat Immersion on Realistic difficulty.
The Decorations are as follows:
- Master of Arms: Earn all Campaign Weapons, Attachments, and Camos.
- Dedicated to Excellence: Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores.
- Armament Superiority: Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.
- Heroic Service: Complete the Campaign on the Veteran difficulty setting.
- Legendary Service: Complete the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty setting.
- Immortal Fame: Complete every mission in the game at least once on Veteran without restarting from a checkpoint.
- Chronicler: Locate all of the Collectibles in the Campaign.
- Above and Beyond: Complete all Accolades for all Missions.
- Duty Calls: Complete all Campaign Challenges. To view your Challenges in Offline Mode, you must do so via the Calling Cards page.
- Tried and True: Earn a score of 35,000 in the Training Simulator.
- Grim Reaper: Neutralize 2000 hostiles.
- Full Honors: Earn all Campaign Decorations.
We have compiled a fully supplementary guide for this, showing how to earn all Accolades, Challenges, and everything else for these Decorations. It is currently in progress, but all of the Accolades are available already: Personal Decorator Guide ~ Accolades, Challenges, Decorations
1. Captainarmus. Master of Arms - Earn all Campaign Weapons, Attachments, and Camos.
Everything seems to be clear with this section, you need to pump up all the guns to the maximum to unlock all the attachments and camouflages. M3G and Annihilator also need to be upgraded, despite the fact that the choice of camouflage on these guns is impossible
2. Striving for excellence. Dedicated to Excellence - Fully upgrade all Cyber Cores
You need to purchase all the cyber cores and improve them.
3. Techno-Advantage. Armament Superiority - Unlock and purchase all weapons, lethals, tacticals, and CyberCombat Abilities.
You need to get lvl 20, unlock all weapons and grenades
Attention! To receive a medal, it is not necessary to unlock the cyber abilities of Tak-Kom!.
4. Hero. Heroic Service - Complete the Campaign on the Veteran difficulty setting.
Complete the game on Veteran difficulty.
5. Part Legend. Legendary Service - Complete the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty setting.
Complete the game on Realistic difficulty.

In the “career” tab there is a test “complete the combat training mode at the realism difficulty level” - an example of passing without the glitch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOjUfYCG_H8
Update: Glitch for completing the training mode on a realist, patch 1.03 - the glitch works
The essence of the glitch:
ATTENTION! Both players must complete mission #3 of the campaign before using this glitch!!!
1. The host, together with the second player, enters the shelter through the lobby;
The host must enter the shelter, he must have the difficulty set to realistic, if not, then he selects the difficulty, confirms and re-enters the shelter;
2. The host sits in any chair and does not choose anything, waits;
3. The second player leaves the lobby and joins the host through the friends tab in the PS4 menu;
4. The second player sees the sitting host and tries to sit in his chair, button not highlighted. The task is to approach and hold if the animation does not go through and the second player does not sit in the host’s chair, then he must leave the lobby and repeat the steps until the animation does not start and he does not sit in the chair;
5. When the Host and the second player are in the same chair, both should start the training approximately simultaneously;
6. After the start of the training, you will be in the same arena. In fact, opposite each other, in front of each of you there will be a ball - “start the mission”;
7. The second player starts the mission, the host also starts the mission;
Then the second player can simply die, and the first (host) will be immortal until the end of the training. Approximate time per person - 15 minutes. The main thing is that the second player does not press the button after death, but waited until the end, i.e. I stupidly put the joy aside and went to drink tea/smoke.
Dancing with a tambourine - a la “sit in a chair” is not that long, I sat in the host’s chair on the 3rd attempt, when they did it for me, they sat in my chair on the first try, on the orga they write that 7 attempts are not the limit.
Tested, playing with a partner. They gave the host and me a medal
Video on how to go through combat training alone with two joysticks in the "no damage" mode. I got it the second time
