How to unlock the The Ultimate Sacrifice achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide

Open the two doors on the right side, from when you spawn in and you will see a ritual like place with four skulls. Each skull has symbols on it that correspond with a bird-feeder looking thing on certain parts of the map, that have the same symbols. The locations for these spots are: 1. in spawn, right in front of the water you spawn in, 2. over by the crashed plane, left of spawn, 3. at the bottom of the zipline, and 4. at the very bottom of the map, below the testing area in bunker, next to where you make the KT4.

Each spot will spawn zombies for 30ish seconds or so, and then the eyes will glow blue on the skull and all the zombies that spawned will die. Take each skull back to the altar where you found them and place them where you took them from. A log next to the altar will float up into the air and will let you go down into another area with the Skull of Nan Sapwe sitting in front of you. Hold cn_X on the skull and a Shadows of Evil-like ritual will begin. Kill the keepers and eventually the skull will light up again and the keepers will despawn.

Grab the skull and the achievement is yours. Press cn_LB and cn_RB together to use it. Its a really great weapon and a real life saver, when you get stuck in a corner or something.

Do you need to kill the zombies?

you have to kill some of them. They head towards the place where you put the skull and attack it. It takes like five or so hits before breaking. If it breaks, you have to wait another round to start it again. You can't just run a train with them, like you can for the rituals in shadows of evil

To complete this you must charge up all four skulls at their respective locations. Each skull has a symbol underneath it on the pedestal and each spot has a matching symbol. Simply place a matching skull at its location and protect it from zombies. The skulls will get progressively harder and will start to spawn spiders and Thrashers but the zombies will only go for the skull. Make sure you don't let them break it or you will have to try again next round.

Once all four skulls are powered and back in their place a secret room will open up right next to the skull pedestal where they initially spawned. Go down into the room and Hold X to begin the sequence. Once you begin the door will shut behind you and you must kill enough witches to power the Skull of Nan Sapwe. Once you complete this you can pick up the skull for the achievement.

Skull Locations:
1. Spawn Area
2. Propeller Trap area
3. KT-4 Room
4. Take the Zipline or the door inside the power room in the Bunker

This trophy guide is for The Ultimate Sacrifice which requires you to obtain the Skull of Nan Sapwe.

You're going to need to unlock the majority of the map, which includes the following areas:
-Starting area (opened by default)
-Area with ritual alter containing the 4 skulls (To the right of spawn area)
-Area to the left of the map with the plane propeller traps
-The docks
-Division 9 research lab located at the back of the bunker (Where you build the KT-4)
-Both Labs A and B to obtain power and enter the bunker

What you must do is grab a skull, see the symbol written on its forehead and then cross reference its symbol with the one marked on 4 alters throughout the map. The symbols are written in Apothican and can easily be remembered by how many symbols are written in a row on the head.

Example:
XXX = 3
XXX = 3 I would then refer to this alter/symbol as 3,3

xxx = 3
xx = 2
x = 1 I would then refer to this alter/symbol as 3,2,1

This is easier represented in game, or in video format which I have included at the bottom of this guide.

The four alters can be found the these locations:
-Starting area
-Area with Airplane Propeller Traps
-The Docks
-Science Lab you obtain KT-4 in

Simply grab the proper skull that corresponds with the alter you've chosen, or, grab a random skull and then find the proper alter and place the skull within it.

You will then have the defend the alter from constant spawning zombies. They have a green mist exuding from them and they won't attack you, they seek only to destroy the alter with the skull.
Be careful not to kill your last non-ritual zombie as it will end the round, whereas doing rituals at the beginning of new rounds can be quite challenging.

Once you've completed the ritual, the skull will no longer be reddish coloured, and will be cleansed. Bring it back to the initial alter and place it back in its location.
Rinse and Repeat for the remaining 3 skulls.

Note: Be careful however, as at any point Thrashers and Spiders can spawn in during a ritual and they will seek to kill you, not the skull.

Once all 4 skulls have been cleansed and placed back in the alter the tree trunk on the ground beside the alter will move out of the way allowing you to enter an underground temple.
When you are prepared, begin the ritual by holding cn_S on the Skull of Nan Sapwe. This will cause Keepers to spawn in. You must kill them, as their souls are required to charge the skull.

Once the keepers have stopped spawning in you may pick up the Skull of Nan Sapwe, earn your trophy, and kill some zombies with it.

You’ll get this on the way to completing the EE.

From the spawn area, if you open up the door on the right for 500 points, and continue forward to another door costing 750 points, you’ll reach the altar where the Skulls are. There are 4 skulls here, and you can pick up any of them as well as place them back if you don’t want that particular one (Use ). Each skull has a distinct pattern of symbols on the altar underneath it, and around the map there are 4 altars that you need to bring these skulls to in order to power them up.

The locations for the altars are as follows:

Spawn - To the right of the lake you spawn at.
Airplane Trap – Immediately in front of the open area at the entrance, hard to miss.
Yellow Test Tube Area (The game calls it the Operation Room, but it’s confusing underground so I call it the Yellow Test Tube Room due to the many yellow tubes scattered in the area) – On the lower floor, near the KT4/Masamune buildable spot.
Docks Area – In the middle of this small area.

When you place a skull on any of these altars, it will spawn a few waves of green covered zombies that make a beeline straight for the altar. Once you kill a lot of them, they will disappear and the skull will be white, meaning it’s powered up. Now take the skull back to the altar and place it back down where you got it. Each time you power a skull the enemies added become tougher. The first time it’s just simple zombies, the second is zombies and spiders, third time is zombies and Thrashers, and the last one is all 3 types. Once all 4 skulls are powered up, a hidden room will open up right next to the main altar. Down here you press on another bigger skull, and this time you fight lots of keepers that chase you around. Simply keep killing them until they disappear, and the Skull of Nan Sapwe and trophy are yours!
