For the final section of Numbers, what worked for me was looking downwards when I threw the grenade, and throwing it at the very last minute. The grenade actually went to the left a bit and took out the guy on the left and stunned the guys in the front. I only had to kill like 3 with the pistol. The van killed the rest.

I came here to watch the Numbers video because I was stuck on the spot where you defend the room. Well... after defending the room for 10 mins + to no success, I found Clarke hadn't followed me through half the level so I had to restart. I was seriously wondering how the guy in the video was so bad yet I was failing each time.

The key is being patient. The mission Numbers is relatively easy, just use cover a lot.
On Project Nova, you have to be patient and let your teammates move up sometimes and try to kill as many enemies as they can. The last part is kinda hard, so just use cover in that part and sprint for the finish at one point.
On Victor Charlie, same thing- use cover a lot. Use the Grim Reaper for the boat, then save it for later harder parts, such as the MG emplacement soon after, which destroying with the Grim Reaper will get you an achievement. In the tunnels, be constantly aiming a lot, and pause before turning into a new corridor.
For some reason, I beat these 3 missions on Veteran, and it didn't give me the achievement!!! I don't know why....

This achievement was glitchy for me cuz I did project nova first to get the light foot achievement. So I redid project nova last and got the achievement.

Can confirm that this achieve is a bit glitchy. had the same problem, did all the levels on veteran but it wouldn't pop, so went back and did numbers again and it came up

The only part where Numbers was INSANE was after Clarke says to go to the door on the left, took me several hours just to pass that part!! The part where he has to get the door, I stayed prone behind the counter and killed the guys who mysteriously knew EXACTLY where I was hiding!!

The technique I used to get through all these veteran difficulty levels is pretty simple.

All you do is go through and get "trigger happy".

First you need to make sure your AIM ASSIST is turned ON.

From there you need to just rapidly start TAPPING the LT and RT repeatedly when you come across enemies.

The LT will automatically, for a split second, AIM at a given enemy's neck on screen and the RT will FIRE a bullet or barrage of bullets at that spot. If you do it fast enough, the sight will focus only on the enemies on screen.

If you see an enemy or two up close just take your time (if you want) and kill them.

This technique really helps for taking down large groups of enemies that are hidden behind cover with only their heads showing or arms showing.

I would use the trigger technique for every enemy just because some of the AI is broken and "headshot"s you from cover.

If this explanation isn't clear, please leave a comment so I can improve this.

You must complete “Numbers”, “Project Nova” and “Victor Charlie” on Veteran difficulty. Please refer to "Black Op Master" for tips.

To get this trophy, complete the three levels listed above on Veteran Difficulty. You can play them out of order via the Chapter Select menu.

Mission 7: Numbers is probably the only one that will give you problems because I find the weapons are sub-standard and most of the time you’re being pelted from all sides and mysterious grenades seem to pop up from nowhere to blast you out of where you're hiding even if the enemy is in a building across the street. Take it easy, pickup a sniper and a assault rifle as your main weapons for medium and long range capabilities so you can pick off enemies from some degree of safety.

For tips on Veteran Difficulty, see BLACK OPS MASTER.
