The mode is "Extinction", you and your squad's job is destroy the Alien Hives.
At one point, you will be protecting a Helicopter from "Scorpions" who attack it with projectiles.
The chopper is working at destroying a larger "Hive" that can't be destroyed by using the drill.
You'll be fighting aliens for a good while, be patient, communicate and supply each other with boosts and ammo.
Once the hive is destroyed, you will unlock "City Dweller" for 20g

After you have destroyed the first four hives with the drill a chopper will arrive to destroy the Alien hive blocking the pathway to the city. If you protect the chopper until the hive is destroyed the achievement will unlock.

This is just after the first part. As soon as you get dropped off by the helicopter you have to destroy 4 hives then you can attack the barrier hive with helicopter support. You will then be able to move towards the city and the trophy will unlock.
