How to unlock the The Architect achievement in Call of Duty: Ghosts - Definitive Guide

You have to build all the UNIQUE schematics which are all found in different places around the map. when you find a schematic you then have to open the toolboxes (which can only be opened when your carrying a schematic) and you have to find all 3 pieces to build the schematic. once you have all 3 pieces press the back button on the controller and press x to build.

you can find all the schematics by the second area in the game(after the tentacle), but you will most likely have to replay the map a couple of times to get them all as there are not enough parts to do them all in one game.

You can get multiple schematics in one game. eg: if you just built the orange venom x gun, you can pick up the schematic up again and find parts again in hope that you will get a different venom x gun. same thing goes for the tesla trap. i built all 3 tesla traps in one game.

THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DONE IN ONE GAME! it is counted across multiple games. it is not tracked in the xbox one achievements so you will have to remember what you have built.

The schematics are as follows:

-Sticky Flare
-Pipe bomb
-Hypno trap
-Basic Tesla Trap (Requires Cell Battery)
Medium tesla trap (Requires Liquid Battery)
advanced tesla trap (Requires Nucleic Battery)
- venom X GREEN ( requries biolum)
venox LX BLUE (requires blue boilum)
venox FX ORANGE (requires orange biolum)
venom SX PURPLE (requires amtethyst Biolum)

The different coloured biolums are completely random everytime. so you will need to keep opening toolboxes till you get the colour you want.

sticky flare and pipe bomb are both found in starting area up the stairs to the right.
Hypno trap and tesla trap are after the tentacle. go up the stairs, straight to the end and look left.
venom x is found just after the hypno trap and tesla trap in the second big area, as soon as you walk into the area, go left and use the drill to open the door. once the door is open its on the right hand side.

If you have any more info or tips please commenet below and i will add them to the guide and credit you for the info!

Mines glitched too, I'm thinking it has something to do with the new invasion dlc being released. because there are new crafting items on there that are not on mayday, which could of messed everything up I don't know but it's annoying AF!!!!

As someone pointed out in the COD forums no one has unlocked the achievement since the 3rd of June. Its likely the new dlc has broken this achievement and it will have to be patched. I've made 3 types of venom grenade in the new dlc and still no achievement.

Hi guys just been told it's been sorted out if you have already built everything and each form/type in the past all you need to do is load up the mayday map and it should unlock it worked for me.

I can confirm that this is now unlocking. I had previously met the requirements (more than once) and this unlocked when I loaded into the map.

WORKS!! I don't know how they fixed this without a patch, but it is now unlocking. I did all of my achievements on local play, but this one wouldn't pop. So I switched over to solo mode (not local) and once I built all schematics again, it popped! So those who are having trouble with this still, you must play it on solo not local solo.

Pro tip for Biolum and Batteries can keep opening toolboxes until you get the one you want.

There are two doors at the start and two in the second area with toolboxes. Before the tentacle there are some toolboxes. Finally, in Area two scatter around the area are some toolboxes.

Can build each schematic once in the first game and do about two more games for Venom/Tesla traps.

For anyone that has both versions (360/Xbone) of the game, good news! ...

This achievement behaves very nicely across the versions. I built most of the schematics first on the 360, then constructed the final two I needed on the Xbox One. The achievement popped after building the 2nd needed schematic on the Xbox One, and then when returning to the 360, it popped after I built my first schematic of that run. It will also work the opposite way; if you finish your builds and pop the cheevo on 360, next simply build 1 schematic on Xbone and it will pop there too.

Seems like IW is getting better at coding these achievements across the systems and keeping your stats up to date.

This video explains everything you need to do for this achievement

Also, if you are like me and play this on both consoles, it unlocks for the second console once you build another thing after you get the achievement on the first.

*Correction to the video: the type of tesla depends upon the battery type.

The crafting feature has returned to Call of Duty, just this time, we are not playing zombies. The schematics do not need to be all built in a single game. This is cumulative. You can do it over 100+ different games if you want, and even mix and match doing them on Solo and Public.

There are 5 Schematics to be made, which are as follows:

First Area:
1) Pipe Bomb
2) Sticky Flare

Second Area entrance:
3) Hypno Trap
4) Tesla
a) Basic Tesla* - Cell Battery
b) Medium Tesla* - Liquid Battery
c) Advanced Tesla* - Nucleic Battery

Second Area Door:
5) Venom
a) Venom X** - Biolum - Green Venom (explosive / green clouds)
b) Venom FX** - Orange Biolum - Orange Venom (incendiary flames)
c) Venom LX** - Blue - Blue Venom (lightning)
d) Venom SX** - Amythyst - Purple Venom (shoots seeder turrets)

*The difference between each variation of Tesla depends on which Battery you pick up.
**The difference between each variation of Venom depends on which Biolum you pick up.

The parts can be collected from long, rectangular, red toolboxes. You need a schematic in your hand to be able to collect the items though. And if you switch a schematic while you have some items for the previous schematic, then you lose all the items.

For anyone trying to unlock this easily in solo mode:
There are always 9 in the first area (3 behind the first door, 2 behind the 2nd door and one on the pipe by the intel, and 3 in the room before the tentacle.)
There are always 6 in the second area (1 box outside the far right door, 1 inside it, 1 inside on 2nd floor, and 3 more at various locations).

I went and picked up a Tesla schematic in solo, and ran to the first door, got all the items, crafted and put it down, then ran back and got another schematic, repeat, and did it again the third time. Each time I got a different battery because it was the same game. I got rid of all 3 Tesla variations from the first area in one game quite easily.

Same for the Venom, though I did that in solo mode in area 2 and 3 (it gets tough, so no one will judge you if you quit and do the Venom variations in the first area in a 2nd game).

* I did not make this guide or video. The credit for the guide goes to the Xbox user Exalted Entity and the video creator is Amplified HD.

Just thought I'd offer a warning to players about this trophy based on my own experience of trying to get it in a solo game.

When I tried to get this trophy by selecting the option Play Online/Solo Match option the trophy did not pop even though I made every item at least once.
(I play this way so that it raises my rank and gives upgrade teeth to my online profile which Local Play does not)

Only when I crafted all the items again in "Local Play" did I get the trophy.

Not sure if it's some kind of weird glitch or if this happens to eveyone, but if you didn't get the trophy in Solo Match try Local Play instead.

Same, I've crafted the items I didn't make in Online Play multiple times over and still haven't unlocked this yet.

For this trophy, you must build every single schematic and all the variants. Luckily, you don’t need to build all these in one game, this can be done over multiple games! You do not need to fire the Venom-X when you build it, but you will need to place the Tesla/Hypno traps for it to count. All the parts you need can be found in red toolboxes around the map, some of which are behind drill-able doors that are not mandatory to advance.

Here are the locations of the Schematics:

Sticky flares: First area of the game, on the right hand side at the top of the stairs.

Pipe Bombs: Same as Sticky flares.

Tesla trap: As soon as you beat the tentacle mini-boss and open the door right afterwards, at the top of the stairs on the left.

Hypno trap: Same as Tesla trap.

Venom-X: In the second area (cargo bay), right when you enter take a left, and there’s a door right there. Open the door and the Schematic is right there!

(There are more schematics up top for the Venom-X and Pipe Bombs, but you can usually get those done by this point)

Here is a list on how to make all the different schematics, thanks to diagnonsense:

Sticky flares: (TNT + Fuse + Resin)
Pipe bombs: (TNT + Fuse + Pipe)

Four types of Venom gun:
Venom-X: (Nucleic battery + deactivated Venom + Biolum)
Venom-FX: (Nucleic battery + deactivated Venom + Orange Biolum)
Venom-LX: (Nucleic battery + deactivated Venom + Blue Biolum)
Venom-SX: (Nucleic battery + deactivated Venom + Amethyst Biolum)

Three types of Tesla traps:
Basic tesla: (Amolecular magnet + wire + Cell battery)
Medium tesla: (Amolecular magnet + wire + Liquid battery)
Advanced tesla: (Amolecular magnet + wire + Nucleic battery)

Hypno trap: (Cell battery + Biolum + Pressure plate)

If you are trying to make one of the variants, after you get the first two parts needed, if you get a part you’ve already used before, just don’t pick it up, and continue searching boxes until you get the part you need! And don’t forget to backtrack for toolboxes before going up top since you won’t be able to come back down.

you need to collect 10 circuits:

homemade grenades

sticky fire

hypno trap

large tesla trap (last element is organic battery)

medium tesla trap (the last element is a liquid metal battery)

small Tesla trap (the last element is a battery)

Venom X (last element - biolume)

Venom fX (last element - orange biolume)

Venom sX (last element - purple biolume)

Venom lX (last element - blue biolume)

modification of the Tesla trap and Venom depends only on the last element of the circuit.

Thanks for the Xbox story.

Regular biolume, makes a venom that shoots a green cloud (as in the previous part)

Orange biolume, makes a venom that shoots a fiery explosion

Lilac biolum, makes a venom that plants shooting flowers

The blue biolum makes the vein shoot bolts of electrical energy.
