Call of Duty: Ghosts

You can get this achievement during the fourth mission called "Struck Down". As with every other misc. achievement in this game you can play the mission on the easiest difficulty setting and still get it!

Over the course of the mission Struck Down you will take control over a sniper rifle four times. Each time you have to take out some enemies without missing a single shot!

1. Section: Before breaching the upper balcony you will take control over the rifle for the first time. This time you really only have to take out one or two enemies. Don't go too crazy here just yet.

2. Section: After you left the balcony mentioned above you'll find yourself in a trap. You'll take control over the sniper rifle again. This time you have to eliminate several soldiers with RPGs. Several of them are on the upper level and lower level. Take your time and don't shoot too fast. The soldiers will always go through the same motions of getting on their knees and standing back up.

3. Section: When you found the missing squad member you'll be ambushed again. This time your squad will be pinned down inside the stadium. You'll have to kill most of the enemies standing outside. This time you should watch out that you don't shoot an enemy that will be shot by one of your team members. Otherwise it's rather easy to take out enemies as there are a lot of them.

4. Section: The last time you take control over the rifle is right when you get into the chopper. Three vehicles with LMGs will arive and you just have to take out the guys standing on top of the cars. They don't really move so they are easy targets.

If you haven't missed a shot you'll unlock the achievement as soon as the mission ends and the next cut scene starts.

Mission 4: Struck Down

During this mission, you are asked to use the remote sniper multiple times. To be the achievement, you must make sure that you don't miss any shots. There will be a total of 4 remote sniper sections throughout the mission. Just make sure you are aiming a stationary enemies, and never shoot if you aren't confident.

Once the mission ends, the achievement will unlock.

For the Waste Not Achievement, all you have to do is make sure each of your shots form the remote sniper hit a person or a vehicle. This is not too difficult because most of the enemies tend to stand still. As far as I know you either can't fail while looking through the sniper or it takes a while. So I would suggest taking your time to line up each shot and you should be able to get it without much of an issue

Simply load up campaign mission 4 "Struck Down". There will be four times when you operate the remote sniper (the first time at the start of the level does not count as the gun is not loaded).

Time your shots, make sure that you don't miss, the enemies tend to stay still so precisely line them up, keep your reticle on them for a few seconds to ensure you will not miss. I tend to rely on the reticle glowing orange to make sure that I am targetting correctly.

Don't stress about taking out every single enemy, I took my time shooting and my teammates did contribute to the killing of the enemies. In the first section I only killed one enemy and the rest were finished off by the team.

Listen to your teammates, at the end of the 4th sequence I even stopped shooting when the enemies were still aplenty because Hesh was announcing they had left and I could physically see the helicopter flying away so I seized shooting.

Load up the 4th mission: "Struck Down" to get this achievement.

To put this simply, there's 4 sections where you'll have to use the remote sniper. The smartest thing to do is to not go crazy with it or you'll have an easy chance of missing an enemy. IF ALL PLANS GO WRONG, YOU CAN JUST RELOAD TO THE CHECKPOINT WHERE YOU MISSED YOUR SHOT ON. Your achievement will still be tracked and you can continue the mission.

First section: You and your team will breach the balcony with enemies inside. You'll be required to use the remote sniper to take some of them out. I only shot one and let the team take the rest out for me. You don't have to shoot every enemy in that area.

Second section: You'll be following Riley to the next area of enemies. While getting there you'll be getting shot from enemies with rocket launchers. You'll be required to use the remote sniper again at this point. Just shoot the enemies while they're sitting still. Don't try to predict their movements in case you miss by accident, they'll be sitting still or standing up the whole time. There's only four enemies that you'll have to shoot in this area.

Third section: You'll have to defend your team as they try to get to the helicopter. Again, you'll be using the remote sniper here. Just shoot the enemies that are close to the door where you're at and any that run towards the helicopter. There's plenty of enemies, but you don't have to shoot every single one of them since they'll just keep spawning repeatedly.

Forth section: You'll finally make your way outside where enemies are firing at you. Start making your way to the helicopter that landed in front of you while shooting some enemies with your weapons. When you get into the helicopter, Elias will tell you to use the remote sniper again for the last time. Shoot the enemies inside the trucks that pull up as soon as you leave. There's stranded enemies around firing at you as well, but I don't think they can shoot your helicopter down so I didn't bother shooting them, I only worried about the trucks.

If you followed this guide correctly, you should've unlocked the Waste Not achievement!
