How to unlock the Awakening Completionist achievement in Call of Duty: Ghosts - Definitive Guide
Kill enemies while jumping:: it's tricky: the players have to kill cryptids while they are jumping, doesn't matter if you are going up or landing, you don't have to be with the feet on the ground for this challenge, use a flare and focus your fire to the scouts.
kill X enemies with a marked weapon/with a type of weapon: it's easy, because in both challenges, the weapons are marked with a black and orange cryptid symbol, so you can find and buy the right weapon in few seconds.
All players must buy a new weapon: simply buy a new weapon. IMPORTANT: if a player has the Pistol only relic equipped you can't beat this challenge, even if the other players will purchase a new weapon: DO NOT EQUIP the pistol only relic.
Kill X flying enemies: you have to kill bombers and gargoyles, but be careful: if you kill a gargoyle that is walking on the ground, it doesn't count, kill them only when they are flying.
Kill the bombers before they explode: I've noticed that sometimes only 3 bombers will spawn, the solution is trying to move somewhere else in the map, for example in the first area if you are scanning a obelisk in the zone close to the little lake with the electric trap, try to reach the second area door and bombers will spawn.
Low ground: you have to kill enemies higher than you: you can deploy a flare in a high zone and use grenades or venom-x to kill them. Easy. Same trick for High ground: deploy a flare in the lower zone of the map and kill the enemies shooting from an higher zone.
Kill a gargoyle with melee attack: first of all, you need aim to the wings and the gargoyle will land on the ground, now just spamming the melee attack. BEWARE: do not deploy vultures or sentry guns, many times I failed this challenge in public matches because a deployed vulture or something else killed the gargoyle while I wak knifing him.
Hi guys
Today I've just completed all challanges and escaped in a public match with 2 other players.
I have played with medic class and my partners were 2 weapon specialists, with piercing ammo, mp 443 gratch, shield 2 vultures and 1 sentry gun (nobody with relics).
First of all: you need to be lucky with challenges.......2 days ago in another match we had the sniper rifle challenge at the last obelisk and we failed.
FIRST AREA
In the first area the things are easy, just scan 2-3 obelisks and take some skill points, now you can go to greet rhinos and mammoths, you have to lure them in the little lake in the start zone and activate the electric trap, you will kill them very easily.
Before starting to destroy the obelisks using vanguard, it's better choose the pilot (I always used vanguard and I am a quite good player, usually I can destroy all obelisks with the first drone) because the first ARK attachment will be used by someone else.
SECOND AREA
First thing to do is, if you have the schematics that you need, is craft the good stuff (my teammates used 2 venom-x, I crafted the sticky flares).
A little tip for the sticky flares:
1-take the schematics and craft them
2-take another time the schematics and search for the red boxes another time
3-craft the sticky flares after you use them, by this way you can use them 4 times.
We didn't use the other schematics (hypno trap or tesla project).
Now I suggest to kill the mammoths immediatly, simply stay together and use all your fire power (with venom x is easy), take schematics and ARK attachments, start to scan obelisks (collaboration and luck is useful).
Now for the second time destroy the obelisks (first decide the vanguard pilot) and now head to the third area.
THIRD AREA.
Now before start tho scan the 3 final big pylons, you can kill mammoths if you need some stuff, at this point you have your skills upgraded and it's a joke.
There isn't much to say, enemies are a lot, the points aren't a problem (use ammos, shields and everything you have) and, as always, cooperate and hope to have to face easy challenges.
FINAL AREA
Now you can cross the bridge and prepare yourself for a big battle......
If you are 4 players, I suggest to take a terminal for each one and defend them, we were 3 and a player placed 2 sentries close to a terminal and defended by himself the other in the same plan.
Activate the cortex and start the battle, a lot of enemies will spawn.....only a word: SHOOT SHOOT AND SHOOT.
Now a trick that will be very useful: you know that sometimes you can use the cortex to kill all enemies in the area, but dont't use it immediatly when available: use it when a Rhino spawns, you will kill him istantly, or if you lose smore than 1 terminal and you need to fix it.
THE ESCAPE
When the yellow bar is full, it's time for the final part: a player has to take the cortex, activate it using RT and place it close to the forced-closed doors, a lot of enemies will spawn and you need to kill them to fill the yellow bar (you have fully pugraded vultures and sentry-guns, use them), when the bar is full, hold x, activate the cortex to breach the wall and go to the second, rinse and repeat.
When you have passed it, head to the final wall (don't forget to activate the electrical trap, it will help you a lot) and do the same thing, activate the cortex, take it and finish the mission.
I am from Italy, I tried to use english the best I can do (without using google translate LOL).
For any questions, dont' be afraid to comment my solution.
Hope this helps.
This is going to be the blocker for most people. It requires both a moderate to high skillset, and an equally skilled and dedicated team. With determination and a little bit of luck, it isn't out of the grasp of reality at all.
There are a slew of new challenges to look out for:
- Low Ground - Simply kill enemies that are higher than you. The exact range is hard to determine, but I've killed enemies on a ledge not far above me and they counted. Flying enemies count too. You will be killing loads of flying enemies as several challenges call for them.
- Kill 5 bombers before they explode. - Simple enough. The only real problem comes when the game just doesn't SPAWN them. We failed one run on the 2nd to last hive because only 3 spawned. And we were watching VERY closely so we know only 3 spawned. Bombers are the glowing yellow buggers that come down from the sky, like flying seekers basically.
- Kill 'X' Flying enemies. - Just kill Gargoyles and/or Bombers for this one, rather simple.
- High ground - Similar to low ground but slightly trickier as the enemies don't tend to stay below you long. This is where flares come in handy. Just toss a flare down below you from a ledge and go to town.
- Kill X enemies with a marked weapon. - Basically the same as weapon kill challenges but instead of being a weapon type, the game will pick 2 (maybe more?) specific weapons and highlight them with an orange cryptid symbol. Buy one of these and go to town. It helps to know approximately 'where' the various weapons that you like/don't like are located so you can go to the better of the options here.
- All players must buy a new weapon.
- Kill a Gargoyle with a melee attack.
I strongly recommend using the group finder for this, or solo if you prefer. Do not attempt to PUG.
Just like in the previous 2 maps, you must complete the map and complete every single challenge they give. This might be easier in co-op, as if you play solo, you won't get any weapon challenges, and these tend to be easier to beat than some of the other challenges.
