How to unlock the Go Ugly Early achievement in Call of Duty: Ghosts - Definitive Guide

You can get this achievement during the fifth mission called "Homecoming". As with every other misc. achievement in this game you can play the mission on the easiest difficulty setting and still get it!

Several times during this mission you can take control over an A-10 attack drone by pressing up on your d-pad. When you take control over it you usually have to take out choppers and tanks. But during your attacks you can also take out loads and loads of infantry.

It's basically almost impossible to miss this achievement because the attack with the A-10 is extremely powerful. Just make sure to shoot at the groups of enemies on the ground and you can already get this on your second run at the very beginning of the mission!

*Note: Video was taken on the 360. I can replace it with a video taken on the One but I don't want to put two copies of each achievement on my YT channel. If somebody would rather see an Xbox One video let me know and I'll happily provide one for you. Thanks for reading*

This gosh darn achievement (keeping it clean) took 3 days to unlock on my Xbox One. I unlocked it on the 3rd, and it didn't pop until the 6th. So strange.

I gather that happens sometimes on the Xbox One though. Real easy way to get a guy frustrated though.

For the Go Ugly Early achievement, you have to take out 50 enemies while controlling the A-10. You have three different sections where you control the A-10, but you can get the achievement in the second section. Another relatively easy achievement. Just make sure you go for the soldiers before the helicopter or hover craft or whatever it is you are tasked to take out and it shouldn't be a problem.

This is very easy to get, during the mission "Homecoming", you'll take control of the A-10 drones to help protect the base. They highlight bigger enemies like tanks and helicopters, but there's dozens of soldiers on the ground, just spray bullets over the entire area and you should have this trophy by the second drone sweep.

This achievement is really really easy. Early on during Mission 5: Homecoming, you will get control of a laptop which grants you control to a A-10 strafe run. You will have 4 total strafe runs in order to get the 50 kills, but will be easily able to get the achievement within the first 2 runs. When you gain access to the A-10, make sure you keep firing and focus fire on large groups of enemies, tanks and boats. The achievement will unlock at the 50th kill.

Chapter Select: "Homecoming".

You have multiple chances to use the A-10 drone to make strafe runs throughout this mission. The first time you can use it is when you reach the beach. You will eventually be told over the radio that you can press to use the A-10 support. This will then switch your view to the A-10 and you can fire the guns. What you want to do is aim for the squares on the beach and not the helicopter, vehicles etc. Just spray as many bullets as you can towards the foot soldiers. You have about 4 chances to use this throughout the mission and I managed to get the trophy in just 2 of the 4 opportunites. Trophy will unlock after you kill 50 enemies.

Shoot at the small dots, these are soldiers, not at targets. Get it after 4-5 visits.
