How to unlock the C12 achievement in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Definitive Guide

Mission: Operation Black Flag: Trap is Sprung (or Operation Burn Water: Refinery)
Recommended Difficulty: Recruit

From the beginning of the mission, move past the first room into the second area to be confronted by a C12 (large mech) with Spartan SA3 (rockets) on the map. At this point, you'll need to kil this C12 in 3 unique ways:
- Shoot off both weapons to cause Self-Destruct
- Shoot off left weapon for Left Rodeo
- Shoot off right weapon for Right Rodeo

Immediately after killing the C12, you should be able to Load Last Checkpoint and do it again. If this doesn't work because of the checkpoint system, just Restart Mission to be taken back by only a few minutes and repeat.

This did not work! I killed the c12 in trap is sprung a lot of times, all 3 ways, no achievement!

I think does not work if you replay a mission to try to do it--just tried doing it again and no achievement.

It apparently was a very delayed pop! I never saw it pop.... and checked everytime. I just refreshed my COD IW page on TA now and it shows as unlocked. lol...

I’m fairly sure this mission is impossible on Veteran. The fire from the minigun kills you before you have a chance to destroy the C12.

Can be done on veteran, you have to mash the 'X' super fast or use turbo controller

This can be grinded out on "Operation Burn Water: Refinery". You must destroy a C12 by destroying two of its limbs, then destroy one of its arms and jump on it, then destroy its other arm and jump on it. Simply destroy the C12 one way and then reload the checkpoint to destroy it again the two other ways.

This trophy is awarded for killing a C12 robot in all three different available ways. Performing a "rodeo" after blowing off the weapon on either side, or just by blowing it up by shooting all its limbs.

To perform a right rodeo, blow off the rocket battery on the robot's right side, then jump onto that side of the robot. You will then perform a quicktime where you pull the gun on the robot's left over so that it shoots itself in the head and destroys itself.

To perform a left rodeo, blow off the gun on the robot's left side, then jump onto that side. You will then jump on the robot's back and have to time a knife stab so that you hit the rocket battery when it swings back, allowing you to pull out a rocket. You'll just jam the rocket in the robot's back, at which point you'll jump off and you will have to shoot the rocket in the robot's back to blow it up.

There are a limited number of C12 robots in the campaign, but you can grind this out by restarting checkpoint after destroying the robot a certain way. If you've already finish the campaign and haven't got the trophy, the easiest place to get to a C12 is by selecting the main mission Operation Black Flag - Trap Sprung from missions select. In the second area of the Olympus Mons hold a C12 will always spawn, along with many launchers around the area that you can use to destroy its various parts.
