How to unlock the You Know Nothing achievement in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Definitive Guide

There is major spoilers in this solution so close the solution if you don't want to be spoiled.

Load mission "Operation Black Flag: Trap is Sprung" on recruit and follow the mission to the point where you have to hack a roboter behind a door. Do this and injure admiral Kotch with the roboter. After this you and your team enter the room and you will find the injured Kotch in his seat. Go closer to Kotch and push the button and he will start talking. Immediately after he starts talking use your melee attack to kill him. Do not let him finish his speech.

FYI, if you miss this (or just want to hear his speech), simply load from Last Checkpoint and you get chance to do it again.

At the end of the mission, you will reach Kotch and then interact with him. This will begin his speech. In order to grab this achievement, just use the knife (cn_RS) as soon as possible to kill him before he finishes talking. Do not let him finish.

This is also a reference to Jon Snow from Games of Thrones as the character is played by the same actor, and the phrase "You Know Nothing, Jon Snow" is a famous quote from the show.

Main Mission – Operation Black Flag: Trap is Sprung
At the very end of this mission you will have a talk with the Admiral Kotch.

He wants to give you a little speech but instead you must press the melee button (Press right stick) to kill him instantly, thus “skipping” his speech.

This is an easter egg to Kit Harrington's character Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. At the end of "Operation Black Water: Trap Is Sprung", Kit Harrington's character will give you a speech before dying. To earn this achievement / trophy, you must use the melee button, despite not being prompted, to kill him before he completes his speech.

Mission: Operation Black Flag - Trap Sprung

This trophy is earned by killing Salen Kotch in Operation Black Flag before he dies on his own. Mid way through the mission when you are on the Olympus Mons you will hack a robot though a door then use it to attack Kotch in a room. After you enter the room you will walk over to Kotch and hold a knife you his neck while he starts monologuing at you. To earn the trophy press after you have the knife pointed at his neck to stab him and earn the trophy.
