How to unlock the Do NOT push this button achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you'll need to have beaten the single player campaign. You'll need to launch the mission Museum from the main menu.

If you're trying this straight after your Veteran playthrough, you'll need to launch any mission apart from S.S.D.D. on Recruit difficulty and save and quit, otherwise you'll be on Veteran.

Once that's done grab the ACR and M4A1 from the shelf in the middle of the room. Then press the Red button on the desk. Once it's pressed run down the corridor and camp in the door way of the room on the left side. Sit here until you've wiped out all the enemies. When the music stops playing you've killed all the enemies for that wave.

Then press the Red button in the second room on the desk and repeat this process. Once you've cleared the second wave the achievement will unlock.

There's no button in the room in the middle of the corridor.

If you're still struggling, feel free to use this as a reference.

A good tip is to grab one of the M240s once you finish the first room from the guys from "No Russian", it helps a lot with the juggernaut in the second room

Finished both waves, but I guess there was a third one (at least for me to unlock it). I beat two juggernauts, one for each of the two rounds, noticed it didn’t pop. Went to one of the rooms I cleared, pressed the button nothing (everyone was cleared). Started the other button and had a full room but no juggernaut and once I cleared that the achievement popped

I highly recommend using the Thumper! It's on the left side of the weapons case in the room that you do NOT spawn in. I beat the first wave solely using that grenade launcher. And then I beat the second wave only using it but retreated to the first room to refill ammo at the crate. There's no need for two LMGs.

Just an FYI for other people. I had completed both sides a few times and the achievement hadn’t unlocked. Once I quit out of the museum though it popped at that point.

i think its worth noting that you're NOT allowed to kill anything before you press the buttons eg killing the dog so it wont come for you after you press the button - i did this a couple of times and the achievement wouldnt unlock but when i left it it unlocked first time

You will first need to complete the entire campaign to unlock The Museum from the main menu.

The Museum will load at the difficulty that you last played during the campaign. So load a level on recruit, then back out, and load the museum to make this easier!

Once you load, I would highly recommend picking up the L86 and MG4 LMGs found in the showcases.

Now, ring the bell to bring all of the exhibits to life. I believe the easiest strategy is to funnel the enemies through the door that leads to the hallways. Instead of reloading, switch your weapons. Do be shy, and feel free to use your flash grenades as well.

Do this for both exhibits with both bells, and once you clear all the enemies, the achievement will unlock.

Museum
Difficulty: Recruit

The Museum is unlocked after completing the campaign on any difficulty. The Museum does not have a difficulty selection; however, it will load in on whatever difficulty you last used in the campaign. Load a mission from mission select on Recruit difficulty and then head back to the main menu and select the Museum. There are two rooms filled with enemies who are inanimate until you push the red buttons found on the reception desk of each room. I recommend heading to the second room and grabbing two LMGs then activating the button in the second room. Funnel the enemies out of the room and through the hallway as needed. Resupply your weapons and then head back to the first room and repeat.

To get this Achievement you must ring the bell in both rooms & win the attacks.

The level for this Achievement is Museum, which is found at the Main Menu after finishing the Campaign.

Note that the Museum level’s difficulty is the same as the last level you played on.

What I used is the M240B machine gun & a riot shield.

When you complete the campaign, you will have a new selection on the main menu called 'Museum'. In the museum, you can view displays and exhibits of all the major scenes in the game, as well as interact with a full arsenal of weapons.

There are three rooms in the museum; two with characters (approximately 30 characters per room) and one with vehicles (which cannot be entered). In the two rooms with the characters, there is a mysterious bell on their information desks. Ringing these bells make all the exhibits come to life to attack the player, and you must kill everyone in both rooms to unlock this achievement. You cannot ring both bells at once nor do the enemies respawn unless they are all killed and you ring the bell again.

Note that there is a dog and a couple of riot shield enemies in the room on the left and a juggernaut in the room on the right. Also, the difficulty played on the last mission of the campaign will be the difficulty selected for the Museum. If you wish to play this on the easiest difficulty possible (and that difficulty is currently not selected), select another mission on Recruit difficulty, and after the mission loads up, save and quit. Then select the Museum.

Before you begin, it is suggested that you select weapons with a lot of ammo, like the MG4, RPD, L86 LSW, or M240, all of which are located in the room on the right. The RPD and MG4 have slightly longer reload times so the L86 LSW and M240 are recommended. Also make sure your ammo and equipment is fully restocked.

Ring the bell in either room then back out into the hallway to filter the enemies. Most will follow you but some may not. You will notice that there is music playing throughout combat and when that music stops, you know you've killed everyone in that room. Throw flashbangs and frag grenades as needed. When you run out of ammo with one weapon, instead of reloading, just switch weapons, and if there is a break in the combat, reload as necessary. Once the music stops, restock all your ammo then ring the other bell. Survive the second room and the achievement will unlock.

Note: If you fail for any reason, you need to restart from the beginning.
