How to unlock the First Day of School achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered - Definitive Guide

Select 'Veteran' difficulty when asked after completing S.S.D.D.
Team Player is a fairly short mission and is rather straightforward on Veteran. Just make sure to stay behind cover as much as possible and use your grenade launcher on your M203 to kill the enemies quickly.

YES make sure you select Veteran after completing the SSDD course or the achievement won't pop

It did not unlock for me too and then I realized you have to complete S.S.D.D. on veteran as well, but it won't show in the mission select screen.

There is an exploit that allows you to play the game on Recruit difficulty and still complete missions on Veteran.
Instructions:
- Mission select on recruit difficulty
- Play to the final checkpoint.
- Save and Quit.
- Mission select the same mission on Veteran
- Quit immediately upon loading
- Load the game and "Resume Game"
- You'll be at the last checkpoint, and on Veteran difficulty. Complete the mission.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this on a Series X.

Not sure if i'm doing it wrong, or its just loading toooo quick to back out in time.

so getting to last checkpoint. Save and quit. Mission select and then dash and close game immediately.
However resume just starts the mission on veteran

S.S.D.D.: This is your basic training mission that shows you the different aspect of controls, mechanics and such. There is a training course to do (which can earn you two achievements). You select your difficulty after you complete the course. No enemy combat.

Team Player: Not too difficult, but you have to keep in mind that once your Humvee is down, you need to get into a building to your right. Take the school slowly and do not try to knife the guys with RPDs that appear. If you get too close to them, they will turn around and kill you immediately.
