Remember that a bullet can pass through a target and hit whatever is on the other side.
This means that you can accidentally shoot a civilian, however, you can use it to your advantage, as there are a few instances where 2 targets can be hit with 1 bullet.
With this in mind, after you complete your first run through, there are more weapons you can choose from, including a 2nd pistol.
I did this after a couple of attempts with 2 pistols, I got 133% accuracy and that meant I had 6.7 seconds reduced from my final time.

I was stupid enough to do this with modifiers on and I missed the text in the upper right corner that it disables achievements

It may be worth running through a couple of times just to familiarise yourself with the course. A few things to be aware of:
You'll lose time for missing targets
You'll lose time for hitting civilian targets
You'll want to aim for 100%+ accuracy
Be careful when you hit hostile targets as bullets can pass through and hit civilian targets
There are a couple of opportunities to hit two targets with one shot which will get your accuracy up past 100% (two pairs in the knife room and the last two targets before the exit)

The guns that you will need are the M9 & Desert Eagle pistols.
The final time for the Student Surpasses The Master Achievement is 19.7 seconds or less.
Some targets can be lined up for double & triple shots to help get the accuracy bonus.

Finish The Pit training course in the first mission in less than 30 seconds. There are a total of 24 enemies and the faster and more accurate you are, the more time is deducted at the end of the course. You do get penalized if you shoot any civilians so be careful. This will probably take you a few runs to get and is suggested that you run the course first so you can unlock both the M9 and USP .45 pistols and to get a feel for the course. It is not recommended you use a machine gun because accuracy counts! Also, you should be hitting multiple targets at once where you can so you do not have to reload your pistols (which can take up precious time). When you are out of ammo, just switch weapons as you will have enough rounds in both weapons to complete the course without reloading (if you are hitting multiple targets at once).
Since you also need complete the training course in less than 19.7 seconds to unlock "The Student Surpasses the Master", a video is provided under that achievement.
