How to unlock the Silent Skies achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered - Definitive Guide
After getting to the Petrol Station area you will want to go to Burger Town first as there will be a few enemies inside and on the roof of the building. One of the enemies in this area will be carrying the RPG-7, pick this up for later. (Credit MellygotJazzed & Soundgoodizer)
Then progress through the mission a little bit until you've defended Nate's Restaurant. After this you need to go to the Joe's Diner to get the Predator Control Rig. Eliminate the enemies and pickup the Predator Missile for later.
After this head outside and go to the ammo box on your left to get more ammo for your RPG-7.
Then just shoot the two BTRs with the RPG-7. Is a bit difficult to do on Veteran, so you might want to do this on Recruit.
Hope this helped.

The first roof you go on with your team, you need to defend the sentry gun.
Don't! Instead let the enemies charge on to the roof because half of them will be carrying an RPG and there's a refill ammo crate on this roof too and a stinger you can use for the first chopper.
After you are told to abandon the roof and destroy both BTRs assuming you are on recruit difficulty or this is mop up run out and destroy them!
There's another stinger for the second chopper inside the building to the left of you after you destroy the BTRs, the building with the predator drone which you will get an objective marker on.
Video guide quickly showing you this method.

Mission 6 Wolverines!
Difficulty: Recruit
Half way through the defense section of the mission, two BTRs will spawn in. You are required to retrieve the drone controls in the diner across the street. Do NOT use the drone controls after your retrieve them, instead you should find an RPG from one of the enemies in the diner (or in Burger Town, if needed). Now, head back to the roof you started on to refill the ammo for the RPG and use it to eliminate both BTRs.

About halfway through the defense section, two BTR's will spawn in. Instead of using the predator drones, use the rpg to destroy both BTR's.
Pretty easy to do as you will only need to pick a RPG-7 from a dead enemy. Just wait for the soldiers to climb the ladders and try to attack you on the roof before the BTRs spawn, grab the RPG-7 and refill your ammo. Then follow the path I took on the video in order to directly face the two BTRs, only one rocket is need to take one down. Video :
To get this Achievement you must destroy both enemy BTRs without using the Predator drone on the level Wolverines.
An easy way is to find an RPG from enemies & then go to the roof of Nate’s to resupply your ammo giving you 4 rockets.
It only takes 1 RPG hit to destroy a BTR, but the 2nd one doesn’t spawn until you get orders to attack the enemy drone operator.

In Mission 6, 'Wolverines!', when two BTRs appear, Sgt. Foley will tell you to take them out with a Predator drone. If you've already picked it up, do not use it. You need to destroy the BTRs with RPGs. There is an RPG permanently located in the kitchen in Burger Town with one rocket (although you may find one lying around anywhere in the area) and across the street, there is a supply crate on the roof of Nate's Restaurant.
You will have a decent amount of time to unlock this, so if you haven't found one already, go to Burger Town to pick up the RPG. You can either head to the roof of Burger Town and try to destroy one BTR or immediately go to Nate's Restaurant, resupply your ammo, and destroy them both there. The BTR driving pattern passes both restaurants, so either is satisfactory, but you may have to relocate for a better shot. They take one rocket each, and when both are destroyed, the achievement will unlock.
